Taylor Fritz, who beat Alexander Zverev in the final at Stuttgart at the weekend to make a strong start to the grass court season, reclaimed his place in the top four in the ATP rankings on Monday.
The 27-year-old American returned to his highest ranking of 4, which he reached last November but lost during the clay court season in which he won just three matches in four tournaments.
Fritz lost in the first round of the French Open last month to Daniel Altmaier as he slipped down to seventh.
He now trails only the unchanged top trio of Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Zverev.
Jack Draper drops two to sixth while Lorenzo Musetti, who did not play last week, falls to seventh.
Another American Ben Shelton enters the Top 10 for the first time in his career after reaching the semi-finals in Stuttgart.

'Need a f**king point guard'- Bill Simmons urges Minnesota Timberwolves to skip Kevin Durant trade

Bill Simmons urges Minnesota Timberwolves to skip Kevin Durant trade (Image Source: Getty) Amidst a heated basketball season, it is also interesting to see how NBA trade is happening, with players either getting traded to different teams or securing a solid spot for themselves. Recently, Orlando Magic made a solid deal with Memphis Grizzlies' Desmond Bane. With this, media reports suggest Magic could be looking for a solid player for their team. Names like Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal are also being discussed now. With the Minnesota Timberwolves also showing interest in Durant, American sportswriter Bill Simmons feels Timberwolves should rather focus on securing a point guard and not Durant. Bill Simmons' suggestion to Minnesota Timberwolves is to fix problems first As talks are on about Kevin Durant being traded soon, media reports suggest, it could possibly be with the Minnesota Timberwolves. On The Bill Simmons, Bill Simmons in his latest episode on podcast, spoke of the trade. He said, "Houston is the only team that I feel like he could elevate, I even have real questions about him with (Anthony) Edwards. That feels like dueling banjos to me. Just feels like another (Devin) Booker situation where there's a lot of Durant standing in the corner, like 'I guess I'm not in this one' and he has that weird body language thing he gets going sometimes." He added, "I don't think he needed help, I think he needed a f***ing point guard, That's what they need. If I'm gonna make trades, I'm not trading for Kevin Durant, I wanna get somebody who can actually handle the ball and take pressure off Edwards and get fast breaks. In that OKC series, (Mike) Conley looked like he was 50 years old. That was why they lost. They couldn't bring the ball up. It wasn't because they didn't have enough scoring, that's not how I watched the series. ' Will Bradley Beal become a key player for the Phoenix Suns? With Desmond Bane making a solid trade to Orlando Magic from Memphis Grizzlies, all eyes are now on where other NBA stars might be traded. As per Jake Fischer of The People's Insider, the Phoenix Suns are believed to have faith in Bradley Beal who could possibly play much better. In case Kevin Durant is traded, Beal would likely have more space to score better points and experiment with his skill set. Now, for the Suns, the strategy is to make Beal a key player. Fischer wrote, 'There is likewise some hope within the Suns that moving Durant could possibly present Beal with more offensive opportunity to produce in a manner you'd expect from a player with that sort of contract. As The Stein Line has previously reported, various candidates considered during the Suns' recent coaching search were asked how they would try to get the best out of Beal if he remained a Sun. ' Also Read: The Phoenix Suns Will Trade Kevin Durant Soon But They Don't Care Where He Wants To Go Meanwhile, NBA star Kevin Durant has also figured out a few teams that could possibly be his next spot. It can either be San Antonio Sports, Houston Rockets, and Miami Heat. All eyes are now on where Kevin Durant could possibly go, but that too depends on how Suns will be able to secure a perfect replacement for Durant. To be able to recover a solid player with a solid skillset, it is an important task for Suns.

US-owned Irish soccer club Drogheda barred from Conference League by UEFA ownership rules

LAUSANNE, Switzerland — Irish Cup winner Drogheda lost its appeal on Monday against being removed from the Conference League next season for breaking UEFA rules on club ownership. The Court of Arbitration for Sport said its judges gave an urgent decision dismissing Drogheda's appeal that was heard on Monday. On Tuesday, UEFA will start making the draws for qualifying rounds in the third-tier European competition. Drogheda and Silkeborg of Denmark qualified for the Conference League second preliminary round but are owned by the Trivela Group from the United States. UEFA rules to protect sporting integrity do not allow teams from a multi-club network to enter the same competition if one owner has 'decisive influence' over management of both. CAS said the three judges agreed UEFA committed key information to Drogheda and that by a 2-1 majority 'rejected submissions on alleged unequal treatment by UEFA.' Other cases involving Manchester City, Manchester United, AC Milan, Brighton and Aston Villa in the past two years were resolved by one of the ownership stakes being placed into a blind trust for the season. A UEFA expert panel also imposed transfer bans and limited cooperation between clubs in question. The UEFA panel is also assessing if Crystal Palace and Lyon can both enter the next Europa League. Lyon's American owner John Textor has a 43% stake in Palace though with limited decision-making power. In the latest case, Silkeborg took priority with UEFA to get the Conference League place because it finished higher in the Danish league this season than Drogheda did in the Irish league last year. Drogheda loses prize money of 350,000 euros that UEFA pays for playing in the Conference League second qualifying round. soccer: /hub/soccer
