Sudheer Babu
opposite Bollywood star
Sonakshi Sinha
, who makes her Telugu debut in what appears to be a fierce avatar.
The film follows a story of a dark and fantastical world built on the clash between greed and sacrifice.
Sonakshi
Sinha dons a vicious avatar
The 1-minute-12-second teaser begins with stunning visuals of what it seems to be a cave going through a room. The image of Sonakshi Sinha sitting on a mound of gold, covered from head to toe in gold jewellery, and wrapped in a fabulously designed saree, is further seen. Her character is both forceful and unsettling as she takes the evil and demonic force wreaked by greed as the antagonist in the film.
JATADHARA Official Teaser | Sudheer Babu | Sonakshi Sinha | Prerna Arora |Telugu-Hindi| Coming Soon
Born from sacrifice
Sudheer Babu's introduction is made by a dramatic and powerful score layered with Vedic Sanskrit shlokas. Sudheer appears as being made from sacrifice and righteousness, the only fighting chance against the thick darkness of greed, represented by Sonakshi's character.
Under the direction of
Venkat Kalyan
and Abhishek Jaiswal, 'Jatadhara' appears to be high concept mythology with raw human emotion and philosophy.
Poster of the film
Previously, the makers of the film shared a poster that hinted at the scope of the film's vision. It depicted a flaming trident, thrashing through tumultuous clouds, divine anger and cosmic chaos. In the poster, Sudheer Babu stood strong in a warrior pose, filled with an understanding of purpose and spiritual power. Beneath the surface of the poster, an inverted fiery red underworld was unveiled. As seen in the teaser, the film appears to have some high-end VFX used for its visuals.

From Gabbar's lair to Basanti's village: Ramanagara celebrates 50 years of ‘Sholay'
New Delhi: Fifty years after 'Sholay' blazed onto the silver screen, the rocky hills of Karnataka's Ramanagara district still seem to hold its spirit -- the tyranny of Gabbar Singh, the camaraderie between Jai and Veeru, and Basanti's never-ending chatter. The cult classic about two small-time criminals who are hired by a vengeful ex-policeman to capture the ruthless dacoit Gabbar Singh was released in theatres on August 15, 1975 and forever changed Indian cinema. The action-adventure movie, directed by Ramesh Sippy from a script penned by iconic writers Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, was praised for its gripping storytelling, powerful dialogues and unforgettable characters played by Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar and Amjad Khan. For Ramadevara Betta, the granite-strewn hillscape in Ramanagara that doubled as the fictional village of 'Ramgarh', the film etched itself into the very soul of the land. The rugged terrain of Ramadevara Betta (hill in Kannada) served as the backdrop for Gabbar Singh's lair. It was the stage for some of Hindi cinema's most quotable scenes, including the one where the menacing Gabbar asks his henchmen, 'Kitne aadmi the?' Filming began in October 1973 and lasted nearly two-and-a-half years, with an entire township built for the shoot and a road constructed from the Bangalore-Mysore highway to the sets. The production transformed the area, with locals still recalling the nearly three-year-long presence of the cast and crew. Many also got a chance to be in front of the cameras as background characters. Among them was Boramma, who was just seven when she faced the camera for a small role in 'Sholay'. 'I still remember everything. There's a scene with Hema Malini and Dharmendra in the mango orchards, it was filmed here. On the other side was the village. It used to be a dense forest, but for the film, they converted it into a village. 'After 'Sholay', many more movies were shot here. Ramadevara became famous because of 'Sholay'. The shoot went on for three years. They built roads for filming and all the Gabbar Singh scenes were done here,' Boramma, who is now in her 50s, told PTI. Another local Bettayya said his parents worked on the sets during the shooting. 'I was 15 years old. My parents worked on the sets. I don't remember too many details of the shoot, but they used to give us good food. Dharmendra would give Rs 100 to the elderly. There used to be a narrow road to the betta, but they constructed a proper mud road for the shoot. Later, the Forest Department turned it into a tar road,' he recalled. 'Because of Sholay, our village, community, and district are still remembered in the whole of India. Our government has made all those places good tourism spots, and people come from all over India to see them,' one person said. They are also proud of the film's success and its lasting impact on Indian cinema. ''The film that was shot here fifty years ago has spread the name of Amitabh Bachchan and Ramnagar far and wide,' a local said.

Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR's War 2 mints over Rs 16 crore in in North America
War 2, starring Hritik Roshan and Jr NTR, had a good start in North America. The film earned USD 1.93 million by its second day. Rajinikanth's Coolie, however, is leading. Coolie earned USD 4.67 million in the same period. Coolie has surpassed Kabali's record. Both films are targeting different audiences. The overseas box office is seeing an exciting clash. The much-awaited War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan , Jr NTR , and Kiara Advani , has opened to a solid start at the North American box office. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the high-octane YRF Spy Universe entry registered USD 1.417 million on its first day, including Telugu collections of USD 605,000. The film had already built strong momentum with its premiere shows, raking in USD 925,000 (with Telugu contributing USD 500,000). By Day 2, till 9 a.m. IST, War 2 had added another USD 520,000, taking its cumulative to USD 1.93 million ( Rs 16.94 crore). This is an impressive debut for a Hindi-language action spectacle in North America, reaffirming Hrithik Roshan's overseas pull and Jr NTR's pan-India reach following RRR and Devara : Part 1. The Telugu version's contribution highlights the film's crossover appeal, aided by Jr NTR's global fan base. Kiara Advani's presence, coupled with Mukerji's stylish vision, has also made the film a hot ticket among younger audiences. However, comparisons with Rajinikanth 's Coolie which released on the same day are inevitable. Lokesh Kanagaraj 's directorial, headlined by the Superstar alongside Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir , Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and Rachita Ram , stormed the North American box office with USD 3.04 million from premieres alone. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Benefits of Trading Bitcoin CFDs IC Markets Learn More Undo It followed this with USD 95,000 on Day 1 and USD 720,000 by Day 2 morning, taking its total to USD 4.67 million within just 48 hours. The comparison shows Coolie clearly ahead of War 2 in terms of North American box office pace. While War 2 touched USD 1,93 million by its second day morning, Coolie had already breached the USD 4.5 million mark in the same timeframe, even going on to surpass Kabali's nine-year-old record of USD 4.44 million lifetime. In comparison War 2 had more walk-ins over Coolie but Rajinikanth's film earned more as it had a heavy advance booking in place. Industry observers believe the two films cater to slightly different audiences. Coolie thrives on Rajinikanth's massive diaspora fanbase and Lokesh's cult following, particularly in Tamil-speaking regions, while War 2 is a Hindi-Telugu bilingual juggernaut backed by the strength of YRF's Spy Universe. The latter's box office legs will depend on how well it performs across both North Indian and South Indian diaspora markets. Ultimately, War 2 has delivered a strong opening, but Rajinikanth's Coolie still holds the crown for the biggest Tamil (and pan-Indian) storm at the North American box office this season. With both films in play, the overseas box office is witnessing one of its most exciting clashes in years.
