
Shilpa Shetty asked Govinda, ‘If Sunita wasn't around, then who shot you?'; Kapil Sharma quizzes Shilpa on why she thinks wives are always a threat to their husbands
According to reports, in October 2024, actor Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg with a licensed revolver at his Mumbai home. He underwent surgery and was hospitalised, during which his good friend and co-star Shilpa Shetty paid him a visit. Kapil Sharma recalled what Govinda had said about their meeting in the previous season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He told Shilpa, 'Shilpa, last season, when Govinda came to our show, he told us something about you.'

He then played a video where Govinda was seen saying, 'The time Shilpa came to see me. She first asked how I hurt myself and where Sunita was? I said Sunita had gone to the temple, so she asked who shot you then?' Laughing out loud about this, Shilpa said, 'Only I can ask this?'
Later, Kapil Sharma asked her why Shilpa Shetty believes a man's only real threat in life is his wife. Shilpa responded, 'Sometimes the men are in a powerful position and the world is scared of them. But that man is only scared of his wife. A man's eyes only open when he gets married.'

Shilpa Shetty married businessman Raj Kundra in 2009. They have two children, a son and a daughter. On the work front, Shilpa Shetty was last seen in Singham Again.
