Community Service Officer in Wisconsin goes above and beyond to rescue cat stuck on a roof
KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – An officer in southern Wisconsin got a big shoutout from his department after going above and beyond this past week to rescue a cat stuck on a roof.
According to a social media post from the Kenosha Police Department, a Community Service Officer came to the rescue after a cat found itself stuck on a roof with no options to get down.

CSO Zarletti then reportedly jumped into action and scaled up a ladder to rescue the stuck cat and safely bring it down from the roof.
Officials with the Kenosha Police Department afterwards joked, 'We always knew Zarletti had range, but who knew he'd check 'firefighter' off the bucket list too?'
They went on to add that public service can come in several forms throughout the community, 'even if it's covered in fur and stuck on shingles.'

(WFRV) – Officers in one northwestern Wisconsin city arrested two drivers for OWI around midday on Thursday who admitted to recent meth use, and are reminding residents that impaired drivers are out at all times of the day. A release from the Rice Lake Police Department states that officers arrested two drivers on June 5, one at 10:35 a.m. and the other at 12:10 p.m., for their seventh and sixth OWI offenses, respectively. 'Remove or cover valuables in vehicle:' Police in Wisconsin issue warning after firearm reported stolen from parked car After the first traffic stop in Rice Lake that morning for 'multiple reasons,' including a stop sign violation, the officer noticed signs of impairment. The driver allegedly admitted to recent THC and methamphetamine use and was subsequently arrested for the 7th OWI offense. Shortly after, around 12:10 p.m., another officer conducted a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation. The driver reportedly showed signs of impairment, and a K9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle. The second driver also admitted to recent methamphetamine use and was arrested for their 6th OWI offense. Officers also noted that methamphetamine was found in their vehicle. Two men from Romania arrested in Wisconsin for ATM skimmer operation 'Impaired drivers are out at all times of the day,' officers noted in the release. 'Please be responsible and safe.' Community Update: Green Bay Police Chief talks summertime safety
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis stopped by the Local Five studio Thursday morning to discuss safety for kids and families during the summer season and how the police department is involved with a newly launched city initiative focused on revitalizing and reengaging area neighborhoods. As students begin their summer break, Chief Davis says it's important for parents to be aware of where their kids are and what they are doing. We like to remind parents this time of year, the big thing is just know where your kids are and what they're doing, who they're with. Keep in mind that public spaces like parks get a lot busier this time of year. Everyone wants to be able to enjoy the parks, so kind of think about your behavior in the park and urge your kids to be good stewards of our public spaces. Green bay Police Chief Chris Davis Over the last few years, the department has reportedly had problems with gel blaster guns. Chief Davis says to just leave those at home and not bring them into public spaces, or kids using them could get into 'some pretty serious trouble.' Along with the summer and warmer weather also brings with it an increase in bicyclist, motorcyclist, and pedestrian traffic. The Chief says that every day drivers need to just be aware of their surroundings and not follow too closely to a motorcyclist or bicyclist as they stop much faster than a car can. Those on the bicycles and motorcycles should keep their heads on a swivel and be aware of their surroundings. Riders of either mode of travel mentioned should also be sure to wear a helmet. As for pedestrians, the Chief asks that they try to make themselves as visible as possible. Chief Davis then talked about the new city initiative, starting in the Western Avenue neighborhood, which is all about focusing on revitalizing and reengaging area neighborhoods This is a whole of city government program to try to really dig deep into neighborhoods where we can improve livability. Manhunt underway for father accused of murdering his three daughters; former Wisconsin resident

(WFRV) – Three sisters under the age of 10 were found dead in Washington on Monday, and a manhunt is underway for their father, a Wisconsin native. According to the Wenatchee Police Department, officers responded to a civil complaint at 9:45 p.m. on Friday, May 30. The mother of three young girls reported that her daughters were not returned following a scheduled visitation with their father. 'Essentially became a missile': 19-year-old De Pere woman faces 25 charges, $500,000 cash bond for allegedly going 80mph in downtown Fond du Lac The girls—ages 9, 8, and 5—were last seen with their father, identified as 32-year-old Travis Decker of the Wenatchee area. According to WFRV's CBS affiliate in Milwaukee, Decker previously lived in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Officers began searching for Decker and the children immediately. Decker was believed to be living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Washington license plate D20165C. Local motels in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee were checked without success. The vehicle's information was entered into the local Flock camera database, which showed the truck had traveled west on Highway 2 from Wenatchee on May 30. An AMBER Alert request was initially denied by the Washington State Patrol, but an Endangered Missing Person Alert was issued the next day after police provided additional information. Over the weekend, Wenatchee Police worked with local law enforcement and the FBI to investigate possible locations in Chelan County. By June 2, the search had narrowed to an area between Icicle Road and Chumstick Road near Leavenworth. That same day, an arrest warrant was issued for Decker on three counts of first-degree custodial interference. At approximately 3:45 p.m. Monday, a Chelan County deputy located Decker's vehicle near the Rock Island Campground off Icicle Road. The truck was unoccupied. While searching the area, authorities found the bodies of the three missing girls. According to the criminal complaint, each was found with a plastic bag over their head, and their wrists were zip-tied. Decker was not located. Authorities say that the preliminary examination suggests the likely cause of death for the three children was affixation. A SWAT team and Washington State Patrol's Crime Scene Response Team responded to assist in processing the scene and searching for Decker. As of now, Decker remains at large. He is wanted for three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.
