Community Service Officer in Wisconsin goes above and beyond to rescue cat stuck on a roof
KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – An officer in southern Wisconsin got a big shoutout from his department after going above and beyond this past week to rescue a cat stuck on a roof. According to a social media post from the Kenosha Police Department, a Community Service Officer came to the rescue after a cat found itself stuck on a roof with no options to get down. Enjoy raffles, games, and free mini pizzas at Mountain Mike's Grand Opening in Bellevue CSO Zarletti then reportedly jumped into action and scaled up a ladder to rescue the stuck cat and safely bring it down from the roof. Officials with the Kenosha Police Department afterwards joked, 'We always knew Zarletti had range, but who knew he'd check 'firefighter' off the bucket list too?' They went on to add that public service can come in several forms throughout the community, 'even if it's covered in fur and stuck on shingles.' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. California pizza chain Mountain Mike's Pizza is set to open in Greenfield this spring
Mountain Mike's Pizza ― a California-based pizza chain ― is planning to debut its first Midwest location in Greenfield this spring. This will be the pizza chain's first Wisconsin location, according to a news release from Mountain Mike's. The chain also plans to open a location in Bellevue, the first of three Mountain Mike's planned for the Green Bay area. Two others are also planned for the Milwaukee area, the release said. The Greenfield's Mountain Mike's Pizza will be at 7828 W. Layton Ave., on the north side of Layton Avenue between Forest Home Avenue and 76th Street. The 4,200-square-foot restaurant will feature 13 big-screen TVs, an all-you-can-eat pizza and salad bar, a weekday lunch buffet, a domestic and craft beer tap and wine selection, and an arcade. 'We're proud to bring Mountain Mike's Pizza to Greenfield and introduce Wisconsin to a brand that has delighted pizza lovers for over 45 years with its legendary crispy, curly pepperoni, fresh, high-quality ingredients and welcoming atmosphere,' Mountain Mike's franchisee Ranbir Shergill said in the release. 'With its family-oriented culture and vibrant dining scene, Greenfield is the perfect community for us to start Mountain Mike's journey in Wisconsin,' he said. Jasmeet Shergill and Gurlal Singh are the other two franchisees, according to the release. Mountain Mike's in Greenfield will open this spring, but an opening date has not been released. Ranbir Shergill confirmed to the Journal Sentinel that the Greenfield location is expected to open before the Mountain Mike's Pizza in Bellevue. Mountain Mike's Pizza has been in business for over 45 years and is known for its massive 20-inch pepperoni pizzas baked with fresh dough that is made daily. Mountain Mike's Pizza CEO Jim Metevier said the chain's debut in Greenfield is just the beginning of the company's commitment to sharing Mountain Mike's signature experience with communities across the U.S. 'We're confident that Mountain Mike's will quickly become a favorite in the Badger State, and this launch marks an exciting new chapter in our nationwide expansion, representing our continued focus on strategic growth and delivering our unique pizza experience to even more fans across the country,' Metevier said in the release.
