One of the greatest linebackers in Alabama Crimson Tide football history has now officially called it a career.
Yes, on Thursday morning, former Alabama and NFL star C.J. Mosley officially announced his retirement from the game of football following 11 seasons in the league. Mosley is the second former Alabama great to announce their retirement from the NFL so far this offseason, joining wide receiver Julio Jones.
A former first round pick from the 2014 NFL draft, Mosley played for two different teams across his 11 seasons in the league, the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets. Over that span, Mosley had a combined 1,083 tackles, 55 TFL, 12 sacks, 12 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles, and nine fumble recoveries from 2014-24, while also making five Pro Bowl appearances.
At Alabama from 2010-13, Mosley was a multi-year starter at inside linebacker for Alabama who compiled a total of 317 tackles, 24 TFL, 6.5 sacks, five interceptions, and two forced fumbles during his time in Tuscaloosa. Mosley was also a two-time national champion, a two-time All-American, the 2013 Butkus Award winner, and the 2013 SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

We hit 80 in our Raiders countdown to kickoff. Who wore it best and who's wearing it now We've reached 80 days until the Raiders season opener at Foxboro against the Patriots, With our countdown at 80 days we take a look at who currently dons the number in Silver & Black and who has brought it the most distinction. No. 80 Who's wearing it now: TE Ian Thomas This eighth year veteran has spent his entire career up to this point with the Carolina Panthers. He joins the Raiders as a solid number three tight end option behind Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer. He's a solid 6-4, 260 pounds with some decent hands but even better blocking and special teams abilities. Who wore it best: WR Jerry Rice The GOAT joined the Raiders in 2001 at the age of 39. In his second season with the team, at the age of 40, he put up over 1200 yards receiving (1211), made his 13th career Pro Bowl and the Raiders were in the Super Bowl. In 54 games over four seasons in Oakland, Rice put up 243 catches for 3286 yards and 18 touchdowns. Honorable Mention: TE Zach Miller Miller was a second round pick by the Raiders in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played four seasons for the Raiders, making one Pro Bowl. He may have had more success except he joined the Raiders during some very bad years. This included two years of JaMarcus Russell and three years in which they couldn't get more than five wins in a season.

Ravens Derrick Henry Reveals Favorite Cheat Meal on 'Rich Eisen Show'

Ravens Derrick Henry Reveals Favorite Cheat Meal on 'Rich Eisen Show' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Derrick Henry is preparing to enter season No. 10 in the NFL. Henry will head into year No. 2 with the Baltimore Ravens, as the 31-year-old running back appears as motivated as ever to play at a high level and help lead his team to a Super Bowl. Advertisement After spending the first eight seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans, Henry took his talents to Baltimore. In his first season sharing a backfield with quarterback, Lamar Jackson, Henry remained a workhorse, carrying the ball more than 300 times for the fourth time in his career (325). Henry's 325 rushing attempts brought him 1,921 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. The yards trailed only Saquon Barkley (2,005) and the TDs were tied for the lead league with Jahmyr Gibbs and James Cook. As he gets further from his thirtieth birthday, Henry's offseason training regimen has become a hot topic of conversation. Reportedly, Henry spends approximately $240 thousand per year on body maintenance. While he appears to treat his body like a sacred temple, even "King Henry" enjoys the occasional cheat meal. Advertisement On Wednesday, during an appearance on the "Rich Eisen Show", Henry revealed his favorite cheat meal. "I'm a breakfast person, so I like steak, eggs, and potatoes. I like French toast or even a waffle," Henry said. Rich Eisen attempted to dig deeper, asking if Henry enjoys a sugary cereal or a slice of pizza as part of his cheat meal. "No cereal. I don't eat cereal. Pizza, every once and a while, but I'm not a big pizza person," Henry said. Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry (22).Troy Taormina-Imagn Images Henry ranks No. 19 all-time in rushing yards and is the active rushing leader with 11,423 yards.
