TORONTO – The top seed is out at the National Bank Open men's tennis tournament. Karen Khachanov upset Germany's Alexander Zverev 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (4) in the opening semifinal at Sobeys Stadium on Wednesday. The 11th-seeded Russian completed the victory in two hours 52 minutes. Khachanov will next play the winner of the late semifinal between second-seeded Taylor Fritz and fourth-seeded Ben Shelton.
