2026 Rolls-Royce Spectre Review, Pricing, and Specs
Rolls-Royce is a name synonymous with luxury—and not just luxury, ultra-luxury. Whether your discerning tastes settle on the Cullinan, Ghost, or Phantom, all deliver the utmost in quiet, comfortable motoring. But the brand's electric Spectre coupe takes it a step further with a truly silent electric powertrain.
A pair of electric motors provides all-wheel drive and an output of either 577 or 650 horsepower, depending on which model you choose. Acceleration is effortless, but don't expect the Spectre to carve corners alongside the world's premier sports coupes. This two-door is more for relaxed cruising.
Expert Tip: If you want a similarly luxurious experience with a side of athleticism, consider a model from Rolls-Royce's main rival, Bentley.
What's New for 2026?
The Spectre isn't expected to pick up any significant changes for 2026.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
The price of the 2026 Rolls-Royce Spectre is expected to start around $398,000 and go up to $468,000 depending on the trim and options.

Spectre Black Badge
$468,000 (est) 0 $100k $200k $300k $400k $500k $600k $700k $800k
Rolls-Royce will let you customize a Spectre pretty much any way you want. And that's a good thing, because, with a price tag this high, we expect buyers will want something truly personalized. We'd go with the more powerful Black Badge model because, well, why not?
EV Motor, Power, and Performance
EV Motors: 577-hp dual motor (standard); 650-hp dual-motor (Black Badge)
577-hp dual motor (standard); 650-hp dual-motor (Black Badge) Drivetrain: all-wheel drive
The standard Spectre comes with a dual-motor electric powertrain with 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. After taking the Spectre on a test drive, we can assure you this is more than enough power to move the big coupe with authority. The Black Badge variant gets a sharp increase in power and torque to 650 horsepower and 793 pound-feet.
Although sharp impacts still make themselves known, Rolls-Royce has installed adaptive suspension to ensure an appropriately isolated ride over all but the biggest bumps, and the engineers also made room for a massive amount of sound-deadening material to maintain a whisper-quiet cabin.
And oh, how quiet it is. On the road, the Spectre is so silent inside that your ears pick up almost no sounds until you get up to 80 mph, and the wind starts to only slightly penetrate into the tomb-like cabin. At our test track, we recorded a very quiet 63-dB reading on our sound meter at a 70 mph cruise.
0–60-MPH Times
In Comparison: You may scoff at a 3.7-second result and point to the Tesla Model S Plaid that hit 60 mph in 2.1 seconds in our testing, but we'd be quick to remind you that Rolls-Royce's brand ethos is more about quiet cruising than mind-bending performance. The Black Badge model will certainly be quicker to 60 mph than the standard one we tested, but we won't know exactly how quick it is until we can put it through its paces.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life
C/D Range Test(s): 260 miles
260 miles EPA EV Range: 251-277 miles
The Spectre sports a 102.0-kWh battery borrowed from the BMW i7, which is estimated to provide a driving range of up to 253 miles per charge when paired with 23-inch wheels. Going with the smaller 22-inch wheels increases the range estimate to as much as 277 miles per charge. Our test car wore the 23-inch wheels but still delivered an impressive 260 miles in our real-world highway range testing.
DC fast-charging is standard, but we'd guess that most Spectre buyers will have a charging system installed at their estates so they aren't forced to wait around in the parking lot of a Walmart like the rest of us.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe
EPA City Rating(s): 67-74 MPGe
67-74 MPGe EPA Highway Rating(s): 74-82 MPGe
The EPA hasn't released any fuel economy information for the 2026 Spectre yet, but the 2025 model earned ratings as high as 74 MPGe city, 82 MPGe highway, and 77 MPGe combined. MPGe stands for miles per gallon of gas equivalent, an EPA metric that estimates PHEV and EV vehicle fuel efficiency. For more information about the Spectre's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
First Row: The Spectre's cabin offers space for four with bucket seats in both rows. Anyone familiar with Rolls-Royce's current interior design will find a similarly sybaritic one here, although the company has added several design features that are unique to Spectre. For example, in addition to the brand's signature starry-night headliner, the Spectre's door panels rock a similar twinkle with tiny LED lights sparkling in the area surrounding the armrests. There is also a seemingly endless array of personalization options and material choices.
Second Row: Rear-hinged coach doors take some getting used to, but they open wide to make accessing the rear seat easy. The second row isn't as spacious as the first, but the seats are comfortable, and the Spectre offers plenty of amenities to accompany the cozy environment.
Cargo Capacity: Considering the Spectre's size, its 10-cubic-foot trunk could be considered a little small, but it's easy to access thanks to a power trunk lid and should offer enough space for a weekend's worth of luggage or a sizable haul of shopping bags.

Queen Elizabeth II's Supercharged Range Rover Is Up for Grabs
The latest car news, reviews, and features. The late Queen Elizabeth II was a big fan of automobiles, so much so that she often chose to drive herself places instead of using her chauffeur. Even during her later years, the monarch and her corgis were known to rip around the Scottish Highlands in a no-frills manual Defender. This 2006 Land Rover Range Rover in Tonga Green over Oxford Sand headed to auction is not that, but it's bound to be an enormous get for any fan of the British Crown. BJ06 ZGM, which is the plate number assigned to this vehicle (in the U.K., plates remain with the car for life), was provided by Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations for the exclusive use of Her Majesty in April 2006. Like all vehicles adapted for royal duty, it features various modifications ranging from security to comfort and even cosmetic enhancements. Most notable is the dog hood ornament, which represents the royal dog guard. This insignia consists of a silver Labrador holding a pheasant in its mouth, and was only fitted to the Queen's own vehicles. Iconic Auctioneers Another unique modification is the overhauled electrical system and other electronic components, primarily for security and comms reasons. As is usually the case with vehicles for heads of state or dignitaries, intelligence agencies install bespoke components to mitigate any security risks, such as hacking. Other less intense enhancements include the addition of various grab-handles to assist the Queen in getting in and out of the SUV, side steps, mud flaps, and a modified cargo enclosure for her corgis. Most noteworthy is the engine that sits under the hood. According to the listing by Iconic Auctioneers, this is believed to be the only L322 with a supercharged V8 ever owned by the Crown. The Jaguar-derived 4.2-liter supercharged V8 pairs with a six-speed ZF automatic transmission and produced 400 horsepower when new. Interestingly enough, BJ06 ZGM's replacement, CK58 NPJ, arrived in 2008 and retained the grille and exterior trim of the supercharged model, but was powered by a 3.6-liter turbodiesel V8. CK58 NPJ was on display at various events after the Queen's death, including the Pebble Beach Concours, where I personally had the chance to see all of the corgi's scratches in the back. Tim Graham Iconic Auctioneers Following its decommissioning from the royal household, BJ06 ZGM went into private ownership and is now being auctioned with 120,000 miles on the clock. Per the listing, its service history and original blue leather wallet with receipts and handbooks are included with the vehicle. The Iconic Sale at Silverstone Festival will take place Aug. 23, and you can check out the full catalog here.

Miniature classic car-maker Hedley Studios revs up rescue deal
A company which makes miniaturised electric versions of classic cars has secured a rescue deal led by an American merchant banking group. Sky News understands that the future of Hedley Studios - formerly known as The Little Car Company - has been salvaged through a pre-pack administration deal. FRP Advisory is understood to have acted as administrator before selling the business to an entity controlled by Island Capital Group. Hedley Studios was founded in 2018, when luxury car-maker Bugatti approached Ben Hedley to see if he could recreate a 1920s Type 35 racing car at half-scale to mark its 110th anniversary. In a statement issued in response to an enquiry from Sky News, the company said it had built and delivered more than 500 vehicles to clients in more than 60 countries in the last 17 months. Hedley Studios manufactures its cars at three-quarters the size of the original model, with the resulting vehicles typically costing £75,000 or more. "We're thrilled to welcome Island Capital Group as a strategic partner in the next phase of Hedley Studios' growth," Mr Hedley said. "Its investment and belief in our vision mark a pivotal moment for the company as we accelerate our expansion and reach new global audiences. Hedley Studios makes its cars in partnership with a range of luxury manufacturers, including Aston Martin, Bentley and Ferrari. Andrew Farkas, founder, chairman and CEO of Island Capital, which initially backed Hedley Studios in 2023, said: "This latest investment is testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of Ben and his team in building a successful British luxury brand in a short period of time. "Automotive enthusiasts globally are increasingly keen to honour these historic icons, bringing them to new audiences in a new, fully electric way. "Our broader investment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Hedley Studios, reinforcing its position as a leader in the creation of luxury, driveable artworks, and Island Capital is excited to be part of that growth journey."
