The Calusa layout – managed by Troon's ICON Management division – has Tif Eagle greens, Bimini Bermuda fairways and water in play on all 18 holes. The facility also features a water range and a short-game practice area. A 12-hole putting course will be added, also designed by Lewis.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams' former chief adviser to face more charges: Lawyer

Ingrid Lewis-Martin, New York City Mayor Eric Adams' former chief adviser who remains a volunteer on his reelection campaign, will appear in court Thursday to face additional charges, her lawyer said. The lawyer, Arthur Aidala, said the Manhattan District Attorney's Office declined to provide details about the new charges. "Despite a lifetime of service as a law-abiding public servant, Ingrid is being forced to enter court with little information. What she does know is this: she has always served the City with integrity, and she will firmly plead not guilty to every charge," Aidala said in a statement. "While the specifics remain unclear, Ingrid is certain of one thing -- she has broken no laws, and she is not guilty. We will be requesting an expedited trial schedule." Adams, who is trying to revive a lagging reelection campaign, is not expected to be charged with any wrongdoing and a spokesperson said the new charges against Lewis-Martin have nothing to do with him. "Mayor Adams was not involved in this matter and has not been accused of or implicated in any wrongdoing. He remains focused on what has always been his priority -- serving the 8.5 million New Yorkers who call this city home and making their city safer and more affordable every single day," the spokesperson said. "Ingrid Lewis-Martin no longer works for this administration." MORE: Ingrid Lewis-Martin, NYC Mayor Eric Adams' former chief adviser, surrenders on criminal charges Lewis-Martin was previously charged, along with her son, Glenn Martin II, with taking $100,000 in bribes from two businessmen in exchange for official favors. Both pleaded not guilty. Three other individuals with ties to Adams are also expected to face charges on Thursday, according to sources: Jesse Hamilton, a former state senator and current deputy commissioner of real estate services, and Gina and Tony Argento, Brooklyn business owners and donors to Adams. Attorney information for Hamilton and the Argentos was not immediately available. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office and the New York City Department of Investigation had no comment on their charges or the new charges against Lewis-Martin. Two real estate investors, Raizada Vaid and Mayank Dwivedi, were also charged with bribery in the case involving Lewis-Martin and her son. They have pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors accused of engaging in a $100,000 bribery scheme while Lewis-Martin was in office. She resigned from her position days before surrendering on bribery and money laundering charges in December 2024. Vaid and Dwivedi are accused of paying Glenn Martin II $100,000 months after Lewis-Martin allegedly performed favors for the two men, including helping them with issues relating to construction permits and a family member's visa, according to the indictment. Lewis-Martin's son allegedly used the money to buy a Porsche, prosecutors said. MORE: Timeline of how Eric Adams' bribery case led to resignations of federal prosecutors The case is separate from federal corruption charges that were brought and then subsequently dropped against Adams. The mayor was indicted last year in the Southern District of New York on five counts in an alleged long-standing conspiracy connected to improper benefits, illegal campaign contributions and an attempted cover-up. The Department of Justice moved to dismiss the charges, prompting the resignation of several top prosecutors. In April, a federal judge dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning it cannot be revived. The Justice Department sought to have the case dismissed to free up Adams to cooperate with the mayor's immigration agenda, though it wanted the case dismissed without prejudice, meaning it could be brought again. Glass Lewis confirms advice to Mediobanca investors to back Banca Generali bid

MILAN (Reuters) -Leading governance adviser Glass Lewis on Wednesday confirmed its recommendation to Mediobanca shareholders for a vote in favour of the bid to acquire private bank Banca Generali, a document showed. The vote to be held on Aug. 21 had initially been scheduled for June 16. It was postponed as the proposal risked lacking sufficient support due to friction between the Italian merchant bank's top management and some of its leading investors. "We continue to believe that Mediobanca shareholders should support the company's proposal," Glass Lewis wrote in a report seen by Reuters. "We find no reason to amend our prior recommendation at this time," it added. Rival proxy adviser Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) last week also reiterated its recommendation for a "yes" vote. Mediobanca in April unveiled its plan to buy Banca Generali and create Italy's second-largest wealth manager, as it seeks to thwart a takeover bid from Monte dei Paschi di Siena. The takeover attempt, one of a dozen M&A deals reshaping Italian banking, has opened up a battlefront between Mediobanca CEO Alberto Nagel and two top domestic shareholders who have recently also become the main investors in Monte dei Paschi. UNCF Launches ‘Wealth in Numbers' Campaign and $10,000 Prize to Explore HBCU Community Perspectives on Wealth Building

By GlobeNewswire Published on August 7, 2025, 22:55 IST Atlanta, GA, Aug. 07, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Today, UNCF's Institute for Capacity Building announced the launch of its 'Wealth in Numbers' campaign, an effort designed to better understand wealth building perspectives of students, faculty and staff at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The campaign will offer a $10,000 prize to the HBCU with the highest response rate. The survey is now live and accepting responses through Sept. 30, 2025. 'When we unite our HBCU communities around shared goals of financial empowerment, we create opportunities for collective prosperity that extend far beyond individual success,' said UNCF Senior Vice President Ed Smith-Lewis. 'We're beginning with comprehensive research to understand how HBCUs can better serve as catalysts for generational wealth building, which will inform our development of targeted programs and resources in the phases ahead.' The 'Wealth in Numbers' campaign is a key element of the HBCU Wealth Building Initiative, launched earlier this year by UNCF with support from the Prudential Foundation. The initiative addresses critical wealth disparities facing HBCUs and the communities they serve. While HBCUs achieve a 67.6% success rate in moving students to higher income brackets and represent 52% of institutions in the 95th percentile for mobility, they serve more first generation and low-income students than their peer institutions. In addition, HBCU faculty and staff come from families and communities with lower annual income, homeownership rates and net worth than the national average. Earlier this year, the initiative formed a distinguished advisory board including leaders from ASPEN Institute, Bank of America Foundation, Clark Atlanta University, Hope Credit Union, Howard University, JPMorgan Chase, Kindred Futures, McKinsey & Company, NAACP, Prudential, Student Freedom Initiative and Urban Institute. UNCF is partnering with the advisory board and other national organizations to support campaign activation. Institutional representatives interested in serving as champions are encouraged to register for an informational webinar, held on Thursday, Aug.14 at 5PM EST.
