No. 18 Tennessee is holding fall training camp ahead of its 2025 football season, slated to kick off Aug. 30. Rankings reflect the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll.
'You start this journey as they come back in January through your winter, spring and summer,' Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said of the Vols in fall camp. 'I'm proud of what we have done and what our players have done, the leadership that we have inside of our locker room, and now it's about taking the next step and taking steps every single day, competing to be our best individually and collectively as a group. We've got great leadership on this team.'
Heupel's roster in 2025 features four student-athletes who are 6-foot-7 or taller.
Redshirt freshman Jeremias Heard is the tallest player on Tennessee's roster this season. The 6-foot-8, 333-pound offensive lineman played eight snaps in his only game he appeared in during the 2024 season. Heard played left tackle in Tennessee's, 71-0, win versus Kent State on Sept. 14, 2024.

Three players, all offensive linemen, are listed as 6-foot-7 for Tennessee in 2025: redshirt junior Brian Grant, redshirt sophomore Shamurad Umarov and redshirt freshman Bennett Warren.
Grant enters his fourth season at Tennessee and has two years of eligibility remaining. He has played in 16 games and appeared on Tennessee's field goal and PAT units.
Umarov played a role on special teams and as a reserve offensive guard last season after appearing in four games as a freshman in 2023. Warren played in five contests during his freshman campaign and earned a redshirt in 2024. He played 40 offensive snaps and did not allow a pressure or commit a penalty.

Broncos roster: OLB Andrew Farmer (No. 53) seeking breakthrough

Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at third-year outside linebacker Andrew Farmer, No. 53. Before the : Farmer (6-3, 252 pounds) played collegiate football at Lane College, an HBCU (Historically Black College or University) in Jackson, Tennessee. After totaling 114 tackles and 17.5 sacks in his final two seasons with the Dragons, Farmer signed with the USFL's Michigan Panthers before ultimately changing his mind, deciding to join the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2023 season. In 2023, Farmer played in eight games, making three total tackles (two solo, one assisted). Farmer began the 2024 season on the Chargers' practice squad before being released by Los Angeles in early September. The Denver Broncos quickly signed Farmer to their practice squad later in September. Broncos tenure: Prior to being signed by the Chargers, the Broncos "spent considerable time" with the linebacker at the 2022 Hula Bowl, so he was not unfamiliar to the team. Farmer spent the rest of the 2024 season on the Broncos' practice squad. Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely competing for a practice squad spot. The Broncos know Farmer's value, and he's likely a strong candidate to spend another season on the practice squad. If any injuries should arise to the starting OLB corps, Farmer could be a candidate to be elevated to the active roster in 2025. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans.
