Jordan Poole Reacts After Warriors Lose Key Player in NBA Free Agency
Jordan Poole has now joined his third team in two years. This is after the Washington Wizards traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans in a blockbuster deal that saw CJ McCollum take his talents to Washington.

On Monday, as the NBA free agency window officially started, Poole learned that he had been reunited with former Golden State Warriors teammate Kevon Looney. This came after the 6-foot-9 big man opted to part ways with the Warriors in favor of a two-year deal with the Pelicans worth $16 million.
Based on Poole's reaction on social media, it is clear that he's very excited to be reuniting with Looney.
"Omg!!! It's so lit," Poole posted on Instagram, sharing ESPN's report on Looney's move.
Looney has decided to leave Golden State two years after the team parted ways with Poole. In 2023, the Warriors sent Poole to the Wizards as part of the Chris Paul deal.

Poole's move away from the Bay Area followed his highly publicized fight with Draymond Green. The two got into it during a team practice session, which ultimately led to Green knocking Poole down with a punch to the face.

That's all in the past now, and all parties appeared to have turned the page on that ugly chapter already.
With both Poole and Looney getting a fresh start in New Orleans, they will look to make some noise playing alongside the likes of Zion Williamson and Herb Jones. Things could get very interesting for the Pelicans in 2025-26.

Women Are Sharing The Things Men Do That Absolutely Baffle Them, And Hard Same
Recently, Reddit user Electrical-Ebb-3485 posted to the subreddit "Ask Women No Censor" to ask women, "What is something that many men do that baffles you?" Obviously, I knew the answers would be very entertaining, so I decided I had to share. Here are some of the best: 1."Send dick pics and expect us to actually like it." —u/eefr 2."Pursue or lock down a hot girl and get mad when they continue to be hot." Paramount Pictures —u/Beneficial-Door-3252 "Cindy Lauper said it herself: 'Some boys take a beautiful girl and hide her away from the rest of the world.' Walk in the sun ladies!" —u/Pastawbutter 3."This is a generalization obviously, but men often go, 'I can fix this.' It doesn't matter how complicated something is, perhaps even requiring a specialist; men will immediately try and do it themselves, often making the problem worse or fixing it jankily." NBC "Like, you get people go to trade school purely to learn how to do some of these things because it is that complicated, right?!" —u/Pinkalpacamaid "I have this theory that this ludicrous confidence is something that's ultimately net-beneficial, and women are robbed of it by a misogynist society." —u/capacitorfluxing 4."Promising to take care of something, and failing to fulfill the promise, so we get to panic and try to do the thing last minute. It seems to go in one ear and out the other when they 'listen' to women." —u/julmcb911 5."Using the bathroom and then not washing their hands. Do they not feel disgusting?" Walt Disney Pictures / Via —u/injury_minded "This! I've had a couple men in my life swear they don't need to wash their hands after peeing because it's not the same as women going to the bathroom. Absolutely vile." —u/rrmounce95 6."Men often refuse to go to the doctor about their medical problems, or a therapist about their mental health problems. Drives me nuts." —u/eefr 7."They force everyone to 'pass as a man' in order to play online games normally. Men, if every player around you is always a man, it's most likely since you've made it hostile for women to even out themselves." NBC —u/Q-9 8."Compulsive contrarian debating." —u/ruminajaali "Men who do this think it makes them smart." —u/TVsFrankismyDad 9."Continually ask for women's opinions and then dismiss, debate, deny, and disrespect every fucking response." —u/BillieDoc-Holiday 10."Pursuing you then proceeding to say he's not ready for a relationship." —u/sherlockgirlypop 11."Some men complain about not finding 'good women.' Yet they are not self-aware. Their definition of 'good' is a shallow one, and they're attracted to toxic traits. They project their past hurt and punish future partners. They expect traditional loyalty but do not offer stability. They play games, then get angry and bitter when they lose the game." Disney Channel —u/Moosemuffin64 12."Offering 'advice' constantly for things they know nothing about in an aggressively condescending and know-it-all type of way, like they think we'd be impressed and flattered rather than just insulted by how demeaning they are to our intelligence." —u/AnonPinkLady 13."They believe women have no reason to distrust men." —u/AlisonPoole98 14."Hate women without knowing consciously they hate women." NBC —u/Hello_Hangnail 15."Not washing themselves properly, not wiping themselves properly, and smelling their hand after they scratch their ass or balls. (YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU REEK!!!)" —u/CozyCatGaming 16."Possess zero self-awareness [regarding space]. Get the fuck out of the way!" —u/madeoflime "WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS STANDING IN MY WAY?!?" —u/AnonPinkLady 17."Not shaving that gross goat scraggly-ass beard they think is so cool." —u/TayPhoenix 18."Can't handle the work of a relationship and would rather have a 'friend with benefits' so they never need to take accountability." ABC —u/Individual-Upstairs4 "Then they say that women lack responsibility. Their intention is to make them bear all the blame for their mistakes. Men hate responsibility. I have seen this a lot. They prefer to blame women instead of holding themselves accountable, as if they are like little children." —u/Sweet_Animal6924 19."Men, just throw away any underwear with holes in them. Socks included. Just toss them. Don't give it a second thought." —u/champion0522 20."Fear of having any 'female-coded' hobbies for fear of being judged as gay, girly, or feminine in any way, shape, or form." Warner Bros. "Recently I saw a man who was afraid of reading a book that is popular amongst women..." —u/OkDesk2871 21."Say they want virgins and call women used-up or ran-through if they have premarital sex, but at the same time want to keep having casual sex until they're ready to settle down with that virgin. They're sexually dependent on the women they call whores." "If there were no 'whores' to service them they'd be unhappy, yet they claim to hate the existence of these 'whores.' Also, they think sex damages women and lowers their worth, yet want to 'damage' as many women as possible. I just can't understand it. I've noticed it's more the younger generation that seems to care about virginity and 'body count,' thanks to the manosphere and influencers like Tate. I'm 46, and I've never had a guy my age ask my body count. I'm glad not to be a young girl in the dating scene today." —u/manykeets finally, "Weaponized incompetence: when you ask them to do something and they completely half-ass it so you won't ask them again." Pop TV / CBC Television —u/minty_dinosaur I'm somehow so frustrated reading these, but also laughing so hard. Tell me your thoughts down in the comments! Or, feel free to share your own baffling 'manecdote.' If you have something to say but prefer to remain anonymous, you can check out this anonymous form!

Did NFL offseason change list of contenders? Plus Wimbledon upsets continue
The Pulse Newsletter 📣 | This is The Athletic's daily sports newsletter. Sign up here to receive The Pulse directly in your inbox. Good morning! Hang onto your best players today. NFL training camps open this very month, with most teams reporting in full around July 22. Every NFL offseason is a spectacle, and this one felt especially dramatic, at least to us at Pulse HQ. The Shedeur Sanders draft plummet happened. The QB carousel spun almost literally to no end, thanks to Aaron Rodgers. Stefon Diggs signed a big deal in New England and then took a nice ride on a boat. There was an exceedingly rare trade not only of veteran players for one another, but two All-Pros, Jalen Ramsey and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Advertisement The NFL (and we in the sports media, too) loves the circus. But on the verge of camp, has it struck anyone else just how little this offseason seemed to change the league's pecking order? The five teams with by far the best Super Bowl odds, per BetMGM, are the Eagles, Ravens, Bills, Chiefs and Lions. Four of those were also in the top five at this time last year. The only difference is the Bills more or less swapping places with the 49ers (second-best odds last year, now sixth). Not that the Bengals or Commanders couldn't crash the party, but it sure feels like not a lot has changed. Am I too dismissive? I asked some The Athletic football writers if I'm missing anything. Scoop City (subscribe for free to the NFL newsletter) author Jacob Robinson: 💬 After Denver improved in nearly every facet this offseason, expect the Broncos to look like legitimate Super Bowl contenders. They'll get a chance to prove it in Week 5, when they visit the Eagles. Senior writer Jourdan Rodrigue: 💬 I don't think people are loud enough about ranking the Buccaneers in the contenders category. They have a quarterback in Baker Mayfield who is playing the best football of his career (though can be erratic), one of the best offensive lines, one of the best (and deepest) receiving corps and an emerging run game. The injury-luck pendulum may swing back in favor of their defense this season and give that group an overall lift. This team is well-built and will score points, with plenty of attitude. Don't overlook them! Yo-ho, yo-ho. PSG, Real Madrid advance in CWC In yesterday's Club World Cup quarterfinal action, PSG prevailed over Bayern Munich in a chaotic affair — unfortunately dampened by a horrific injury — while Real Madrid escaped a late flurry from Borussia Dortmund thanks to an incredible goal from Kylian Mbappe. Despite all the controversy surrounding the tournament, the product on the field has been legitimately good. So, are American fans flocking to watch the best teams in the world in action? Nope. Tickets for the Club World Cup's first semifinal dropped to $13.40 yesterday after having been priced at $473.90 (!) less than 72 hours earlier. That's less than a beer inside MetLife Stadium. Former champs out of Wimbledon Defending champion Barbora Krejčíková was bounced by American Emma Navarro in yesterday's Wimbledon action shortly after 2022 winner Elena Rybakina met a similar fate — the latest in a string of surprising results in the women's draw. The favorites on the men's side cruised yesterday, as Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner both played near-perfect tennis. Plenty more updates from the All England Club in our Day 6 recap here. Advertisement More news: Former White Sox pitcher Bobby Jenks died yesterday at age 44. Make some time today for Sam Blum's recent feature on Jenks' fight against terminal cancer. Notre Dame landed a commitment from wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald, son of former NFL star Larry Fitzgerald, last night. The Irish are building a whole team of NFL legacies. Max Verstappen stunned the two McLarens to claim pole position at the British Grand Prix. Race action from Silverstone kicks off at 10 a.m. ET today. In other racing news, Belgium's Jasper Philipsen won the opening stage of the Tour de France yesterday. Read our full analysis of stage one, including a crash on the cobbles: 📺 Pirates at Mariners 4:10 p.m. ET on (free) Paul Skenes pitches for Pittsburgh, George Kirby for Seattle. Cal Raleigh continues to have a real chance at the best offensive season ever by a catcher. 📺 Gold Cup Final: United States vs. Mexico 7 p.m. ET on Fox The USMNT's roster for this tournament has only had small overlap with the likely squad for next year's World Cup, but this is still a big deal for the program's development. Mexico is defending its 2023 title; the Americans won the previous tournament in 2021. Fluto Shinzawa's smart story on the principles of being a '24-hour athlete' and how they can give a prospect an edge. Haim's new album 'I quit' (sic) — the queens of summer songs are back and deliver on that reputation. Happy bopping. — Alex Iniguez Ojai, Ca. The whole town is my Pulse Pick. If you're anywhere in Southern California and haven't been, I consider it one of the most relaxing places around. — Alex Kirshner. Panini attempted to sell its latest WNBA release for as much as $30,000 per two-card box. Annemarie Farrell penned a searing column on why that has left long-time collectors feeling disappointed. This rendition of the Norwegian national anthem at the Women's Euros was ethereal. One of the most incredible voices you will ever hear. — Sam Settleman Public playgrounds designed with toddlers, specifically, in mind. Bonus points if mine likes it enough to forget he's wearing our holy grail sun hat. — Torrey Hart So far, my testing on limited-edition Frosty swirls and fusions has the simple strawberry swirl as the leader. I'd keep it around. — Chris Sprow 🎥 Zach Harper has a great video breakdown about the NBA's biggest moves of the offseason so far in the latest edition of his newsletter. Watch it here. Most-clicked in the newsletter yesterday: The increasing likelihood of the Kevin Durant trade becoming a seven-team deal.
