With these latest innovations in Mist, Juniper continues to lead the industry in AIOps from client-to-cloud, giving operators superior visibility and control of user experiences.
'The Mist AI-native networking platform was purpose-built to converge AI and networking for exceptional operator and end user experiences,' said Sudheer Matta, Senior Vice President, Products, Campus and Branch, Juniper Networks. 'These enhancements shift the paradigm from traditional observability to an AI-native model for truly understanding user experience that's actionable at scale. We think of the new Marvis Minis as a million Minis—digital experience twins working in unison to proactively identify, learn and act before issues impact the user. With Marvis Minis, Juniper continues to deliver state-of-the-art automation, insight and assurance—setting the stage for a foundational shift to agentic AI in the networking industry.'
Client-to-cloud experience twinning: The next frontier for Marvis Minis
With this enhancement, Marvis Minis digital experience twinning capabilities now proactively analyze user experiences end-to-end, from client-to-cloud to baseline and pinpoint exactly where application performance may be suffering. Marvis Minis now offers new service level expectations (SLEs) to deliver increased visibility into application performance across various levels, such as at site, across sites, regions, within an ISP, making troubleshooting faster and more efficient. With end-to-end monitoring, Marvis Minis now provides a comprehensive solution for identifying and resolving issues before they impact end user experience. Unlike traditional observability tools that require agents, sensors or customer-side deployment, Marvis Minis offers a fully seamless experience powered by AI.
Marvis Actions dashboard: Visualizes and controls self-driving network operations
Aligned with Juniper's vision of self-driving networks, Marvis AI Assistant proactively resolves network issues like VLAN misconfigurations and network loops, optimizes Radio Resource Management (RRM) and automates routine tasks such as policy updates firmware compliance, increasing overall efficiency. The new Marvis Actions dashboard view gives full control over when and how these self-driving network operations are enabled. It also provides a detailed history of all proactive actions, whether fully self-driving or assisted, along with insights into how Marvis AI Assistant identified and resolved each issue, empowering customers to manage their network on their terms.
Marvis Client: Empowering IT teams with client-side data
Marvis Client , an enhanced Marvis AI Assistant extension, uses client-side telemetry from Android, Windows and macOS devices to provide deeper insights into user experiences. Rich data such as device type, operating system, radio hardware, firmware and connectivity metrics are transmitted in near real-time to the Mist cloud, where Marvis AI Assistant processes it to generate actionable insights. When these insights are further complemented by data collected from Juniper Access Points (AP), routers, switches and firewalls, IT teams can proactively address performance issues, improve troubleshooting and enable a consistently high-quality user experience. All of this is achieved without the need for additional software or hardware sensors, thereby minimizing cost and complexity and maximizing value. 0 0

The ECOWAS Commission, in collaboration with the World Bank, has launched a four-day regional workshop from the 28th to the 31st of July,2025 in Dakar, Senegal focused on strengthening the capacity of francophone and lusophone Member States to evaluate and manage tax expenditures. Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Representative of the Minister of Finance of Senegal, Mr. Issa Faye warmly welcomed delegates on behalf of the Government and people of Senegal. He emphasized the country's commitment to greater fiscal transparency and effective public resource management. ' Tax exemptions, if well-targeted, can be tools for growth and poverty reduction. However, their real impact must be rigorously measured ' he noted. Senegal's hosting of the event, he added, reflects its strong support for regional fiscal harmonization and cooperation. Mr. Rajiv Kumar, representing the World Bank, acknowledged the progress made by several ECOWAS Member States and encouraged greater transparency and systematic reporting. 'World Bank is pleased to partner with ECOWAS to deliver this important workshop that aims to strengthen the capacity of member states to manage the fiscal and economic impact of tax expenditures,' he stated. Ambassador Zelma Yollande Nobre Fassinou, ECOWAS Resident Representative to Senegal, emphasized the importance of the workshop and expressed gratitude to the Government of Senegal for its continued support for regional integration efforts. She highlighted that ' Tax expenditures, when not properly evaluated, can undermine domestic resource mobilization and limit the capacity of our governments to finance vital programs. ' Ambassador Fassinou emphasized that the workshop is not only a platform for technical learning but also an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and enhance collective governance in line with the 2023 ECOWAS Directive on Tax Expenditures. She further noted the importance of timely submission of tax expenditure reports by Member States, in alignment with the provisions of the Directive, as an important step towards improved transparency and accountability in fiscal policy across the region. Ambassador Fassinou also highlighted the workshop's aim to encourage open dialogue and peer exchange, noting that participants will present their national frameworks, challenges, and best practices. ' This workshop provides an ideal platform to deepen our shared understanding, align our methodologies, and enhance regional cooperation in managing fiscal incentives ' she said. The workshop features technical sessions, practical exercises, and country presentations aimed at improving governance, transparency and alignment of tax incentives with national development strategies. Participants include officials from finance ministries, tax administrations and regional and international partners. This workshop reinforces ECOWAS' commitment to strengthening national capacities and aligning fiscal practices with regional integration objectives. HPE buys Juniper Networks for $14 billion

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has closed a deal to buy Juniper Networks for $14 billion, after the US Department of Justice (DoJ) recently granted approval, effectively doubling the size of its networking business. In a briefing, HPE president and CEO Antonio Neri and former Juniper Networks CEO Rami Rahim provided colour on integration efforts and the possible future impact of the combined entity. The combination positions HPE to capture more of the growing AI and hybrid cloud market by creating a cloud-native and AI-driven IT portfolio including a full, modern networking stack. The company will reach large adjacent markets including data centres, firewalls and routers. 'We will have an organisation that integrates at the functional level and obviously at the business unit level, which obviously has the engineering, the product management, all the typical type of activities', Neri said. 'And at the corporate function level, the Juniper team will be integrated inside the HPE corporate structure'. The plan is to offer a full networking stack which includes hardware, silicon, the operation system, software and services, AI for networks and vice-versa. 'We're not just building a stronger company. We are establishing an industry powerhouse with vision, scale and innovation to define and lead the future, one that will serve our customers and partners better than ever,' Neri explained. Rahim is now the president and GM of the combined networking business, which includes HPE Networking, HPE Juniper Networking and HPE Aruba Networking. 'My objective here as the leader of this combined networking business is to build the best networking business really on the planet, one that's founded in innovation. And we plan on doing this first by starting to focus on our customers and partners'. Rahim is 'rolling up my sleeves' and 'starting on a customer and market focused, thoughtful integration strategy'. 'We're starting now via true north, which is around secure, AI-native and cloud-native networking'. Rahim and Neri emphasised no customers would be left behind as the combined entity moves forward. DoJ concessions The executives firmly denied concessions made to the DoJ to get the deal approved would have any impact on the competitiveness of the new entity. One of those conditions includes HPE licensing Juniper's AI Ops for Mist source code used in WLAN systems through an auction process. Neri said the code IP would remain with HPE, which will continue to support it. 'As it pertains to Mist, this is a licensing, this is not a divestiture'. Rahim said the Mist team would continue to innovate as part of HPE, with work accelerating due to a combination with HPE Aruba Networking. The DoJ also required HPE to sell its Aruba Instant On WLAN (WLAN) campus and branch network switching business, including all assets, IP, R&D personnel and customer relationships. Neri said the business had been built over the past three years and is 'completely separate from the rest of the traditional HPE Aruba platform or Aruba Central'. The unit targets SMBs and is 'a very small business for us'. Rahim stated the combination of the companies' WLAN portfolios would pose a new challenge for Cisco, pointing to a comprehensive 'secure, AI-native client-to-cloud portfolio for networking products'. Neri believes the company faces competition from about seven US companies with more rivals overseas. 'I think this combination will create more competition and more innovation'. Neri said HPE integrated its channel partner programmes last week at its HPE Discover conference. 'So now HPE has one comprehensive channel programme, which includes all aspects of our business. And then over time, we're going to integrate the Juniper channel programme to be able to sell the entire portfolio because obviously we want to make sure that they [customers] take advantage of everything the new networking business has to offer.'
