What to know about 'All's Fair,' the new lawyer drama starring Kim Kardashian

NBC News13-05-2025

Kim Kardashian is taking her passion for law to the small screen.
The reality star, who has repeatedly expressed her desire to become a lawyer in real life, appears in a new trailer for Ryan Murphy's new legal drama, 'All's Fair.'
Kardashian's fans first learned that she had signed up to star in the scripted series in June 2024, when it was discussed on Season 5, Episode 2 of 'The Kardashians.' In the scene, Murphy pitched the show to Kardashian, who seems excited to take it on.
'I know I don't need to add another thing to my schedule or another TV show, but it's so different than what I do and it's such a challenge for me,' she said in a confessional interview. 'I love the challenge, so I just want to see this out.'
A year later, Hulu has released new details about the project and a first look at the series.
What is the show about and when will it premiere? Read on to learn more.
What 'All's Fair,' Ryan Murphy's new show starring Kim Kardashian, about?
According to a Hulu synopsis, 'All's Fair' follows a team of female divorce attorneys after they leave a 'male-dominated firm' to start their own practice.
'Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances — both in the courtroom and within their own ranks. In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don't just play the game — they change it,' the synopsis reads.
On 'The Kardashians,' Murphy pitched Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner on the show's premise.
'It's a really good idea,' he said. 'So, Kim is the world's best, most expensive divorce lawyer and she has her own firm. And the thing about her firm is that it's an all-female firm.'
Murphy compared the series to 'Sex in the City,' saying people would love it because it portrays 'a bond of women trying to get through an experience together.'
Kardashian, who has been vocal about her experiences studying for the bar exam, said the show was very 'on brand' for her, and Murphy agreed.
He joked that her catchphrase could be, 'Not only am I a lawyer, but I play one on TV.'
'That's the best catchphrase ever,' he said with a smile.
'Totally,' Kardashian said.
The two previously collaborated when Kardashian appeared in Murphy's series ' American Horror Story: Delicate.'
Who else is in the cast of 'All's Fair'?
The all-star cast features Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close.
Kardashian, Close, Watts, Nash-Betts and Paulson also serve as executive producers on the project alongside Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson and Nissa Diederich.
Murphy played triple duty, writing, directing and producing the project. Anthony Hemingway worked by his side as an executive producer and director.
A new trailer for the series is now out
Hulu has released a new trailer for 'All's Fair' to hold viewers over until its premiere later this year. The short clip begins with Kardashian's character addressing a client, saying, 'Deep breath. Tell us your story.'
'It's been a lot. I'm sorry,' the client, who appears to be actor Elizabeth Berkley, says as she grows emotional.
'No, no, no. We don't meet with sorry people,' Watts replies.
Actor Judith Light then appears in a scene and says, 'You know what a girl's best friend is. Not diamonds. Her lawyers.'
Set to the song 'Cell Block Tango,' the trailer promises plenty of intrigue and revenge for the law practice's clients. In one scene, Close addresses a client and says, 'Get mad. Get hot. Get revenge.'
Next, a man appears in that practice's office and says, 'What do you ladies think you could possibly hit me with that I haven't seen before?'
Kardashian replies, saying, 'You're right. Everything we're going yo show you today, you should be intimately familiar with.'
Paulson appears to stir up some drama in one scene as she addresses the female lawyers, saying, 'You're not the only ones to suffer abuse. Plenty of women inflict it, don't they?'
She later appears then takes a sip of her drink and says, 'That's bitter, just like all the women who own this joint.'
When will 'All's Fair' come out?
According to Hulu, 'All's Fair' will debut on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally in fall 2025. An exact premiere date has not been released yet.

How To Contour Your Nose According To A Professional Make-Up Artist

Like most millennials, the first evidence of nose contouring I saw came courtesy of Kim Kardashian and her make-up artist Scott Barnes in 2015. The grainy image uploaded to Instagram caught the SKKN By Kim founder mid-glam with a paint-by-numbers-style arrangement of contour streaks all over her face, which, even before being blended out, proved how effective light and shadow trickery could be when creating a sculpted look. Kardashian and Barnes weren't inventing the wheel here, this artful face contouring hack is steeped in history - it was once most closely associated with stage performers. Ballet make-up in particular has long drawn on the art of contouring to emphasise character traits in productions. Nonetheless, a decade ago that candid snap spread like wildfire, igniting a whole new generation of beauty buffs intent on snatching everything from their cheekbones to their décolletages, legs and noses. Nose contouring especially is enjoying a revival at the moment, with 34.2K TikTok tutorials dedicated to mastering the art. The latest viral nose contouring video to blow up our feeds is all about lifting - so can you really paint on a nose job in seconds? With a cool 5.4 million views and counting, the video sees beauty content creator @velabeauty draw up what she calls a 'lifted nose contour'. Inspired by TikToker @kittyprincessgat, using the E.l.f Cosmetics Halo Glow Contour Beauty Wand, £9, the lifted look begins with two dots of contour at the base of the nose near the nostrils, followed by a horizontal line over the tip of the nose and two lines painted down the bridge, before everything is carefully and thoroughly blended out with fingertips. The results are impressive and @kittyprincessgat even questions, 'is this nose catfishing?' From lines to dots, circles and crosses, in the last few years we've seen a real evolution of nose contouring hacks crafted to alter the look of our noses with a few quick swipes. Some rather niche methods - presumably produced to pick up views on TikTok - have promoted using tweezers, bobby pins and forks to take the guesswork out of product placement. As someone who contours her nose every day, I can attest to its transformative powers. Before getting a liquid nose job, I looked to contouring to help me define and lift my nose shape. Even thought I unapologetically adore my post-filler nose, I still never consider my make-up routine complete without a little Kim-Kardashian-style contouring. 'Nose contouring is all about defining the nose,' says make-up artist and Grazia Beauty Panel member, Lan Nguyen-Grealis. 'You can create the illusion of more symmetry (if that's your MO) with make-up. It's standard practice with a lot of my clients and it's a long-practiced way of balancing features where there's the desire to do so.' When picking the right products to contour with, Nguyen-Grealis advises sticking to cream sticks and powder that are 'no more than two shades darker than your skin tone and they should have taupe undertones rather than orange'. As for highlighting, again use a cream stick or powder that is one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, trying the nose contouring hack It's easy to get this hack wrong because the placement is pretty precise. To avoid mistakes, Nguyen-Grealis recommends being light-handed when it comes to application. 'Using a small brush to apply will help give a more natural and accurate finish as you'll end up with less product build-up and it affords greater precision. Sometimes applying the contour direct to skin delivers a look that's too harsh and obvious, because the resultant streak is more difficult to blend out, especially if you're a beginner.' Nguyen-Grealis warns against using shimmery products, 'they reflect too much light to look like a natural contour,' she adds. Now for the fun part, Nguyen-Grealis explains her three steps to the perfect nose contour: Base: Start off with your usual base and ensure everything is blended in well. Contour: Using your contour stick or with a straight edge or angled brush, draw two straight lines down the sides of the nose. Start from the inner corner or your eyes following the side of the natural bone structure. Add some shadow under the tip of your nose to lift it and blend. Highlight: Using a concealer or highlighter apply straight down your nose bone in the centre and dot it at the highest point of the tip of your nose. Then evenly blend with a small fluffy brush or beauty blender sponge. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, trying the nose contouring hack 1. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand What the brand says: This creamy liquid formula that is both buildable and blendable, and provides a natural-looking sculpted finish. What we know: Viral and frequently duped for good reason, the wand is enriched with treated pigments that lend a natural, uniform contour, and siloxanes that give the product its light and breathable consistency. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'I havent been able to part with this since I was first introduced to it last year. Having always favoured cream compacts, this wand offers a featherweight yet seriously pigmented formula that is easy to apply just about everywhere thanks to its sponge applicator. Importantly, the shades on offer are rich and cool, so I was easily able to find my match with Tan, which offers up a medium-deep hue that chisels while lending my skin some glow.' Pros Easy to use wand appliator Shades are cool not orange Cons 2. Victoria Beckham Beauty Contour Stylus What the brand says: 'A slim, targeted sculpting stick that takes the guesswork out of contouring, for smooth, controlled application.' What we know: Victoria Beckham certainly knows how to set a trend and her beauty brand's take on contouring has just done that. Pulling away from chunky contour sticks that don't allow much room for precision, this Contour Stylus fashions as the antidote with a blendable, nifty stick that allows you to get really precise. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'As a nose contouring obsessive, this product has been a real game-changer. I can forgo brushes and beauty blenders completely and rely on this stick and my finger tips alone. I especially love being able to create precise lines around the tip of my nose for a more believable, lifted look.' Pros Small and precise Super blendable Cons Won't cover larger areas easily 3. E.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Contour Beauty Wand What the brand says: This contour wand features a cushion-tip applicator that helps to create a natural-looking sculpted and radiant complexion. With a liquid texture, the formula is easy to work into the skin and blends with ease. What we know: Another viral beauty buy, this is the same product used by TikTokers @velabeauty and @kittyprincessgat, and we can see why. Its foolproof applicator and easy to blend formula means you can contour your nose in 30 seconds flat, plus the formula is enriched with 2% skin-loving and hydrating squalene to make you glow. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'With an easy-to-use applicator, blendable glow-giving formula and accessible price point, it is hard not to love this product. It provides natural definition that can be built up and always leaves my skin with covetable radiance.' Pros Affordable Small and easy to carry Cons Shades can appear more warm than cool Sameeha Shaikh is Grazia's beauty writer, covering all categories to bring you insights on the latest trends, industry news and the products you need to know about, viral or not (most probably viral).

Kylie Jenner hints she is remodeling $36M mansion as she posts construction zone snaps with secret writing on wall

Kylie Jenner seems to have embarked on some sort of home renovation project inside $36M. The influencer, 27 - who was seen attending a Pilates class with her sister Kendall, 29 - shared a few snaps of the work in progress on social media on Thursday. Photos show an unfinished archway and stairs with electrical wires exposed with the word 'sconce ?' written by future outlets on either side of the entry. It looked like the Kylie Cosmetics mogul's daughter wanted to leave her mark on the scene. 'Stormi' was printed in fancy green double lettering by the seven-year-old, along with a heart and what looked like Jesus on the cross. The workers seemed to have been touched by the second grader's message and sent one in return. 'We love you Kylie. God is here,' was printed on a bare beam with two hearts below it. The reality star may have posted the construction photos to draw attention away from headlines about how she had changed her body in the past. Early in the week, Jenner made headlines when she responded to a TikTok fan's question about the specifics of the breast augmentation surgery she had at age 19. '445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol,' the influencer wrote in a fact-like manner. Fisher is an in-demand plastic surgeon for many stars around Hollywood, even though the Kardashian/Jenner family may be his most visible patients. Although Kylie was now willing to reveal the intimate details of her surgery, it wasn't always that way. In a 2023 episode of The Kardashians that she finally admitted to getting implants during a conversation with her BFF Anastasia 'Stassie' Karanikolaou. In the emotional chat, Kylie admitted that she got her augmentation 'within six months' of having Stormi, whom she shares with ex Travis Scott. The former couple are also are parents to a son Aire, three. She told Karanikolaou she hadn't been planning on having a child at 20 at the time, and she noted that her breasts were still healing from the surgery by the time Stormi was born. The Kylie Cosmetics mogul's daughter made her mark writing 'Stormi' along with a heart and what looked like Jesus on the cross on the wall. The workers responded writing 'We love you Kylie. God is here' Although she seems to be making the most of the results, she admitted regretting getting the procedure at the time. 'I had beautiful breasts, like natural t**s, just gorgeous, like perfect size, perfect everything, and I just wished, obviously, I never got them done to begin with,' she said. 'I would recommend anyone who was thinking about it to wait until after you have children,' she added, noting that becoming a mother altered how she felt about plastic surgery. 'Obviously I have a daughter too. I would be heartbroken if she wanted to get her body done at 19,' Kylie admitted.

Kris Jenner's facelift 'is a FAKE': Top plastic surgeon says transformation is AI trickery - 'It defies all surgical and anatomical realities'

A renowned plastic surgeon has cast doubt on Kris Jenner 's dramatic new look—accusing her of using AI tools to manipulate images and 'create unrealistic expectations… because these are not normal results'. The Kardashians matriarch caused a meltdown when she appeared in Paris last month, accompany daughter Kim during court appearances, looking decades younger than her 69 years. Social media commentators begged to know the name of her doctor—and even suggested Jenner had discovered 'the fountain of youth'. Her representatives later confirmed she had enlisted celebrity plastic surgeon Dr Steven M Levine—also known as 'the facelift maestro'—to achieve her new look. However in an Instagram post that's been viewed more than 250,000 times since it was posted last night, Dr Gary Lawton suggested 'AI tools or morphing software' had been used to alter pictures and videos of the star. The San Antonio-based surgeon said the pictures published worldwide showcasing her new look 'defy all surgical and anatomical realities'. Dr Lawton, who gives practical advice and debunks beauty trends to his 548,000 followers on the platform added: 'There is no possible way that this is a surgical transformation'. Jenner has neither confirmed or denied that she has undergone surgery recently, however it wouldn't be the first time the mother of six has gone under the knife. In 2011, a visibly nervous Kris Jenner was filmed being wheeled in for a facelift on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. She was 55 at the time and underwent the procedure just a month before Kim's wedding to basketball star Kris Humphries. Jenner also previously admitted she had a breast augmentation, earlobe surgery, and has had 'Botox and fillers and lasers and things like that'. Commenting to MailOnline on recent photographs of Jenner plastic surgeon Dr Lisa Friederich said she appeared to have had 'a combination of aesthetic treatments to maintain her youthful and lifted appearance'. She added: 'It's quite possible she's undergone a surgical facelift or mini-lift. 'The tightness around her face, jawline and neck would be challenging to achieve through non-invasive methods alone, particularly in someone over 60. 'Her cheeks also appear fuller and more contoured, likely due to dermal fillers used to restore mid-face volume and create a more sculpted look.' However, now, offering a detailed analysis of recent photographs of the star Dr Lawton said the images were in fact 'suggestive of AI-generated or heavily digitised imagery. 'The problem is that people have seen her in person. If you look at the images, there is no possible way this is a surgical transformation. 'If you look at the jawline and chin, it's markedly narrower. The chin is more pointed and there is drastic reshaping of the mandible [jawbone]. 'Severe slimming at the gonial angle [the corner of the lower jawbone] would necessitate bony recontouring, with extensive soft tissue repositioning—where is there no surgical evidence. 'There's nothing left over to show.' Jaw reduction, also known as V-line surgery involves removing portions of the jawbone to create a more defined shaped or pointed chin and narrower jawline. Although incisions are typically made inside the mouth, avoiding the appearance of scarring, patients experience swelling after surgery that can take months to subside. Dr Lawton continues: 'That kind of extensive restructuring, the precise symmetrical, idealised geometry suggests digital manipulation, AI-generated or heavily retouched images. 'If you look at the midface and cheek volume, the cheeks appear significantly elevated. 'They're fuller and unnuaturally projected, with exaggerated volume, suggesting deep structural augmentation and repositioning. 'Neither mid-facelifts or fillers can produce this kind of flawless surface, devoid of any subtle depressions or textural inconsistencies.' The medic concludes: 'Cosmetic surgery can produce some dramatic results, but the perfection, the anatomic symmetry, the flawless, smooth skin [seen in Jenner's pictures] is just going to create more unrealistic expectations in patients, because these are not normal results.' Dr Lawton's followers were divided in the comments. 'Thank you. Someone had to say it,' wrote one. 'It's hard to believe anything you see these days,' suggested another. Jenner surgeon, Dr Steven M Levine, is also allegedly behind actress Lindsay Lohan's equally dramatic recent facial transformation. Among the procedures the Mean Girls star has been speculated to have undergone include a nose job, and eye, face and neck lift, cheek fat removal, a brow lift, fillers, Botox and a chin augmentation. Lohan, 38, has never admitting to having surgery, but has credited her newly flawless skin to her dermatologist in Dubai.
