Farmers stumble but top European Cricket League
Julius Sumerauer led the way for Farmers against Darmstadt scoring 46 runs, and Zak Tribe was the highest scorer in the loss to Skanderborg, with 54.However, defeat by Dutch side Voorburg was undoubtably the shock of the afternoon, as Farmers seemed well on course for victory after bowling out Cedric de Lange and Carl Mumba in quick succession. But 18-year-old bowler Toby Britton bowled five wides in the final over allowing Voorburg to get over the line.As things stand, Farmers stay top of the European Cricket League with 14 points from six games, with other teams in the table still yet to complete all their fixtures following bad weather on Monday and Tuesday.

Chelsea's swap deal offer for Xavi Simons rejected as Man City attempt hijack
Chelsea's latest swap deal offer to sign Xavi Simons in the summer transfer window has been rejected by RB Leipzig, according to reports. The Blues offered €40m (£34.5m) plus Christopher Nkunku for the 22-year-old Netherlands international – one of Enzo Maresca's top targets. While Leipzig view their former star Nkunku as an interesting player, they are not willing to consider bringing him back as part of a deal for Simons. German outlet BILD reports that Bundesliga side Leipzig rejected Chelsea's offer because Nkunku 'no longer fits into their salary structure'. It is also understood that Nkunku – said to be earning €20m (£17.2m) per year at Stamford Bridge – is not keen on a second stint at his old club. In The Mixer: Exclusive analysis, FPL tips and transfer talk sent straight to your inbox every week – sign up, it's an open goal. Chelsea are now set to go back to the drawing board as negotiations continue to bring Simons to west London before the window closes. Leipzig want €70m (£60.4m) for Simons, who has conjured up 21 goals and 23 assists across 76 games for the German club to date. Simons, who plays as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea – and a move seems likely as the new Premier League season looms. Manchester City have reportedly launched an attempt to hijack the deal but it's thought that Simons would prefer to join the Blues this summer. Chelsea have already signed a number of players this summer, including Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jorrel Hato, Estevao Willian, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez. Dutch coach Rene Meulensteen believes Simons would thrive at Chelsea if he becomes their latest signing. 'Xavi Simons is a great player to float around the No.10 position, or cut inside from the wing into the pockets,' he told Poker Strategy. 'He's a good dribbler, versatile and has cut his teeth with PSV and RB Leipzig, performing well in the Bundesliga. 'The Premier League is a step up, but you would expect playing for Chelsea or another top six side that the team would dominate most games they play – and that would suit Simons. More Trending 'He's very creative and plays with a lot of intensity. He's certainly a player Chelsea fans could warm to immediately. 'While the areas in which they both operate may be similar, Cole Palmer and Simons are different in various aspects; they aren't the same player. 'But they both excel at working in the forward pockets and have an eye for manufacturing the lead-up to a goal. 'Another Dutch player Chelsea have brought in is Jorrel Hato, who has already shown great maturity early on in his career. Usually, young players show some immaturity or appear to lack character when they play their first few games. But Hato plays like he's already got hours of gametime under his belt.' Kenan Bilalovic an Aberdeen transfer target as Jimmy Thelin races to register Swedish winger for Europa League
The 20-year-old winger, on the books of Varnamo, is a Sweden youth international and could cost over £500K Aberdeen are eyeing up a deal for Varnamo winger Kenan Bilalovic. Jimmy Thelin is looking to add to his squad before Thursday's European signing deadline. They are keen on Bilalovic and sources in Sweden have claimed that a deal of around £550,000 between is close to being finalised. The 20-year-old is a Swedish youth international and has been in recent Under-21 squad but has still to be capped at that level. Bilalovic is a left winger and would provide competition for Topi Keskinen on that side. He has come through the ranks at Varnamo and had a loan deal at Skovde last year. The Scottish Cup winners had previously bid for the Ajaccio winger Moussa Soumano but he decided on a move to Dutch NAC Breda. Aberdeen are also looking to close a deal for AC Milan striker Marko Lazetic. A deal has been agreed with the Italian side, which would also see them land a 20 per cent sell-on in the future. The Dons are now in the process of trying to get a visa and a work permit for the Serbian under-21 cap. If Aberdeen can get both these deals done then they would be looking for another two before the close of the window. They can also register one wildcard signing after the deadline ahead of next week's Europa League play-off. The Dons will play the winners of FCSB or Drita. The Romanians are leading 3-2 after the home leg.
