Volbeat have announced a new album, God of Angels Trust, out June 6th, plus a massive world tour including a US leg with Halestorm and The Ghost Inside.
First up, Volbeat will embark on a co-headlining Canadian tour with Three Days Grace in June. Then, the US outing will launch on July 17th in Denver and run through an August 22nd show in Tinley Park, Illinois. The Danish band will then hop back overseas for European/UK dates as part of an extensive 2025 itinerary in support of the new LP.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for the North American dates begins Wednesday (March 12th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code FUNKY. General ticket sales start Friday (March 14th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Along with news of the album and tour, Volbeat also offered up the single 'By a Monster's Hand.' The mid-tempo riffer has a Metallica 'Black Album' vibe with its combo of heavy grooves and melody, though the chorus climbs into power-metal range with its ascending lead guitars and epic vocal delivery from Michael Poulsen.
Work on the new album, the follow-up to 2021's Servant of the Mind, began last summer during the band's year-long break from touring, as Poulsen recovered from throat surgery and played gigs with his death metal band, Asinhell. Molding many of the songs during rehearsals, Volbeat eventually hit the studio with longtime producer Jacob Hansen to record the 10 tracks that would become God of Angels Trust, which features lead guitarwork from touring axeman Flemming C. Lund.
'In the past, I've taken a long time to write and obsessed over so many elements of the songs before finishing them,' said Poulsen in a press release. 'This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any kind of structure I said, 'Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want. I can start with a chorus or do songs that are just a bunch of verses stacked on top of each other. Anything goes.' That was freeing for me and made it exciting to write this album.'
Pre-order the new album via Republic Records. Stream the video for 'By a Monster's Hand' and see the artwork and tracklist below.

Advertisement The tournament, part of the FedExCup regular season, carries a total purse of $9.8 million, with $1.764 million and 500 FedExCup points awaiting the champion. As golf fans prepare for another historic weekend, the PGA Tour took to X on Wednesday with a reminder of the last time a Canadian claimed victory at the national championship. The Tour's post featured a clip of Nick Taylor's walk-off eagle to win the 2023 RBC Canadian Open at Oakdale Golf & Country Club, with the caption, 'For the eagle. FOR THE WIN. Nick Taylor's walk-off victory at the 2023 @RBCCanadianOpen was one for the ages." Fans online were quick to reminisce on the iconic moment. Advertisement "Big moment for the win ⛳️," said one user.
