A British tourist who died after falling from his hotel balcony in Malta has been officially named and pictured.
Keiran Thomas, 25, from Bangor, north Wales, died at the scene in St Julian's, a popular tourist town on the east of the island, on Friday morning.
A medical team were called to Triq Spinola at around 4.15am, where they discovered Mr Thomas' lifeless body on the ground outside of the building.
Malta Police's investigations into the tragic fall, which occurred at the Cavalieri Art Hotel, remain ongoing.
Mr Thomas' heartbroken father, Alan Hughes, told the BBC that the family were thankful for the supportive messages they had received from members of the public.
He also shared that his son, who had a twin brother, was working as a software engineer at the time of his death, with 'a promising career ahead of him'.
On Friday morning, the road outside of the hotel was temporarily closed as emergency services worked on the scene before the body was taken away.
By 9am, the hotel appeared to be operating as usual.

Welsh MP Sian Gwenllian, who represents Arfon, previously described Mr Thomas' death as 'truly devastating'.
She said: 'News of the death of a 25-year-old from Gwynedd in Malta is truly devastating.
'The pain his family must be experiencing is unimaginable.
'My thoughts, and those of the people of Gwynedd, are with them in their grief.'
Meanwhile, MP Liz Saville Roberts, who represents Dwyfor Meirionnydd, added: 'Heartbreaking news. My heart goes out to the young man's family at this extremely difficult time.'
A Foreign Office spokesperson said: 'We are in contact with the local authorities regarding the death of a British man in Malta.'
It comes less than two months after a British holidaymaker was left fighting for his life after plunging from a Costa del Sol hotel.
The tourist was rushed to the Costa del Sol Hospital in May in a 'critical condition' after the incident at the Hard Rock Hotel in Puerto Banus near Marbella.
He was then transferred to the Regional University Hospital of Malaga after 5am on Sunday May 25, when the incident took place.
Witnesses say the unnamed tourist fell from a first-floor balcony although it is said to have been the equivalent of a third-floor fall because of the area the hotel is built in.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

Haunting final words of Fall River fire victim to care worker before assisted living center went up in flames

An elderly victim of the fire at a Massachusetts senior care home voiced an eerie premonition just two days before he died in the blaze along with eight more people. The unnamed resident told maintenance worker Nelson Gonzalez that 'tomorrow's not guaranteed' on Friday, before he was killed in the inferno on Sunday night. Officials said nine people died and 30 were injured at Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility in Fall River, close to Providence, Rhode Island, after a fire tore through the building at around 9.30pm. One of those injured is reported to be 'very critically-ill'. First responders were still combing the building for bodies by daylight on Monday as relatives gathered at the scene desperate for news about their missing loved ones. Maintenance worker Gonzalez told The Boston Globe that he was friends with many of the relatives and he was with them as they enjoyed a picnic on Friday. 'I did make friends with a lot of the residents here, and unfortunately a few of them passed away,' said Gonzalez, 65, of New Bedford. As he left work on Friday, he told the residents: 'I'll see you guys Monday', and one of them replied: 'Well, not sure because tomorrow's not guaranteed.' 'That was one of them that passed away,' Gonzalez said. 'I told him, "I'll see you Monday." He says, "Well, no God willing because tomorrow's not guaranteed." And he passes away.' The victims have not yet been named, and the cause of fire is under investigation by Fall River Police and Massachusetts State Police. State Fire Marshal Jon Davine's office told the Boston Globe that around 70 people were sleeping at Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility when the fire broke out. Fall River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon said that more than 30 people were taken to the hospital and nine people have died. One person remains in a critical condition. Five firefighters were also treated at hospital and each has since been released, Bacon said. Around 50 firefighters rushed to the blaze, which triggered five alarms. 'Our heart goes out to all of the families of the people that were injured here, and the people that lost their lives here,' he told a press conference just after midnight. 'Fall River stands with them and sends out our thoughts and prayers.' Bacon grew visibly emotional and choked up as he announced the death toll at the facility. Fall River, which is home to around 94,000 people, is about 20 miles (32 kilometers) southeast of Providence, Rhode Island, on the Massachusetts side of the border. Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility on Oliver Street has a total of 100 units on the site, which was built in 1999, according to a state website listing care homes. The Fall River Police Department said their patrol officers were the first on the scene. They were greeted by a wall of thick black smoke, and broke down doors to begin rescuing residents. 'Approximately a dozen non-ambulatory residents were physically carried out by our officers,' the department said in a statement. 'Their bravery and quick action undoubtedly saved many lives.' A family reunification center has been opened at St. Anne's Hospital on Middle Street for people who have relatives in the care home. Families can also call 508-674-5741 for assistance.

Grieving family attacked after excited daughter, 11, ran ahead at beauty spot and tumbled off 20-story cliff

A grieving couple have been inundated with hateful criticism after their excited child ran ahead of them on holiday and fell to her death from a huge cliff. Bianca Zanella and her family were on vacation last Thursday when the 11 year-old ran away from her father and tumbled down Fortaleza Canyon in Cambará do Sul, a city in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. She died on impact. Zanella's parents and her two younger brothers returned to Curitabá – where they reside in the nearby state of Paraná – on Friday and the little girl's body arrived Saturday for the wake and burial services. Carolina dos Santos, who is representing the family, called on the public to support the grieving parents instead of blaming them for their daughter's death. Zanella had Autism Spectrum Disorder levels two to three. 'In this moment of tragedy, of profound sadness for this family, Brazilian society must show solidarity and respect the memory of Bianca, who was an autistic girl, who lived and was included,' dos Santos said during a press conference Saturday at the funeral home. 'It is very easy for public opinion to judge a family, a family that wanted to give Bianca a dignified and inclusive life. May Brazilian society understand that people with disabilities have the right to have a dignified life.' Zanella's parents, whose names have not been released by authorities, have yet to publicly comment on the tragic incident and will not be planning on doing so, the lawyer said. '[The incident] is being investigated by the authorities and the family has already provided all necessary clarifications,' dos Santos said. 'At this time, the family is mourning Bianca and needs respect.' The family-of-five were preparing to return to the base of Fortaleza Canyon – the largest in Brazil – when tragedy struck. Zanella's told the Cambará do Sul police that his wife was escorted their two sons, ages 5 and 9, to a snack bar while he stood behind with the girl in an area of the canyon that is considered its highest point. They were about to sit on a bench when Zanella ran off while her father was not looking. He attempted to stop her before she fell from the edge of the cliff around 1pm local time. First responders launched a rescue mission and located Zanella's body around 5:30 pm. However, a helicopter operation to reach the young girl was called off due to fog and bad weather at the canyon. Firefighters rappelled into the mountain in a mission and found Zanella dead at around 11pm. ''The family is completely devastated, as you can imagine. They are a family absolutely devoted to their daughter and children,' dos Santos said. 'A family that fought for Bianca, fought for health, treatment, education, and a life of inclusion, dignity, and happiness for Bianca.'
