One hospitalized in Algiers shooting
ALGIERS, La. (WGNO) — A person has been hospitalized following a shooting that occurred in Algiers on Tuesday, June 10.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting, which happened in the 3200 block of Memorial Park Drive, was first reported shortly before 12:15 p.m.
Metairie man sentenced in 2024 child pornography case
On scene, officers say they found one person who appeared to have been shot at least once. The victim was then taken to a hospital by New Orleans EMS.

That's what happened to me with the mysterious case of Thomas Crooks, the 20-year-old who last July tried to assassinate Donald J. Trump at a presidential campaign rally in Butler, Pa. By the following morning, the authorities had identified Mr. Crooks as the gunman who fired eight bullets toward Mr. Trump, grazing him in the ear. The piece offered an eye-opening portrait, but there was still so much about him that remained unknown. But the world seemed to move on. The presidential race was underway; President Joseph R. Biden Jr. dropped out and Vice President Kamala Harris replaced him on the ticket; there was another apparent assassination attempt, this time at one of Mr. Trump's golf courses in Florida; and then, Mr. Trump reclaimed the presidency. Greta Thunberg appears to fake being handcuffed as she arrives in France after being deported from Israel
Greta Thunberg has been mocked for appearing to fake being handcuffed upon her arrival to France. The Swedish activist was deported from Israel following a brief spat with local authorities this week. She and 11 others attempted to sail to Gaza to make a statement against Israel's campaign, but were seized by Israeli authorities and quickly sent on their way. Of the 12 activists on board the Madleen, which was carrying food and supplies for Gaza, four, including Thunberg, agreed to be deported immediately, while 11 of them have been banned from Israel for 100 years, the rights group that legally represents some of them said in a statement. Rep. Luna: China is dangerous, behind funding of protests
(NewsNation) — Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican, announced the House Oversight committee will be calling China-based billionaire Neville Singham to testify regarding the funding of a group that organized protests in Los Angeles. 'If he refuses to appear, he will be subpoenaed, and if he ignores that, he will be referred to the DOJ for prosecution,' Luna said in a post on social platform X. She alleged that the Party for Socialism and Liberation, a Communist political party to which Singham has previously donated, is also receiving funding from the Chinese Communist Party. The committee will be looking into links between Singham and the CCP, as well. Luna joined NewsNation's 'CUOMO' on Wednesday to discuss the investigation. She said she believes Singham and the CCP are purposely trying to create division within the United States. Hogg forgoes reelection for DNC vice chair 'I do believe the Chinese government knows what they're doing; they're smart and they're dangerous,' Luna said. She added that she believes they are creating a ruse with the protests and making Hispanic-Americans think the unrest going on is all about the recent ICE raids. Lindsey Graham asked then-U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate Singham over Foreign Agents Registration Act violations and ties to China, but the administration did not follow up. 'It's not just me, but the entire Oversight committee in Congress,' Luna said. 'This is a different administration. We are not playing games.
