Barcelona star spotted back in training ahead of Levante clash
The player in question? Robert Lewandowski.
Frontman Lewandowski was for his part forced to sit out on Saturday night, as Barcelona got the club's La Liga campaign up and running in a meeting with RCD Mallorca.
As much came after the Pole picked up a muscular issue during the final week of the Blaugrana's pre-season preparations.
The initial expectation was that Lewandowski would likely be ruled out for several weeks, potentially missing Barca's first three fixtures of the season as a result.
After word was forthcoming earlier today that the former Bayern Munich man was ahead of schedule in his recovery, though, further positive news has since followed.
As showcased below, Lewandowski managed to play his part in some of the group activities at the Ciutat Esportiva on Sunday morning.
The hope, in turn, is that the veteran goalscorer will be cleared to play his part against Levante next weekend.

Report – Chivu Still Deciding On Midfield For Inter Milan Vs Torino Around Suspensions & Injuries
Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu is still deciding on his midfield for next week's Serie A opening day match against Torino. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that the coach is working around the suspension of Hakan Calhanoglu and questionable fitness of Davide Frattesi. Inter Milan face Torino in Serie A next Monday. They are officially one week away from the start of their season. Cristian Chivu will name his first ever Inter starting eleven in Serie A. There are many doubts for the 44-year-old. He will likely stick with the 3-5-2 shape for now, despite his efforts to switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation. Chivu Still Deciding On Midfielder For Inter Vs Torino Clash MONZA, ITALY – AUGUST 12: Petar Sucic of FC Internazionale in action during the Pre-season Friendly match between AC Monza and FC Internazionale at U-Power Stadium on August 12, 2025 in Monza, Italy. (Photo by) In midfield, therefore, Chivu will likely go with a trio. However, one player who definitely won't be playing at the base of midfield is Hakan Calhanoglu. The Turkish international is serving a one-match suspension. Therefore, Petar Sucic could be the player to start in holding midfield. However, there are lingering doubts as to whether Chivu will trust the 21-year-old with such an important role right away. Then, it is not yet clear whether Davide Frattesi will be available. He is still trying to regain fitness after abdominal surgery.

Whirlwind Deal For Poland Star To Join Atalanta From Inter Milan Suits All Parties
A move for Nicola Zalewski to join Atalanta from Inter Milan suits all parties. This is the view in today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They highlight the financial side of the transfer for Inter, and the playing time for Zalewski. Inter Milan are reportedly on the verge of selling Nicola Zalewski to Atalanta. The Nerazzurri only signed the Pole on a permanent basis from Roma this summer. This after he had been on loan over the second half of last season. Inter will pocket a fee of around €17 million. This after they had signed Zalewski for a fee of €6.5 million. That gives an obvious clue as to why Inter were willing to negotiate so quickly to sell the 23-year-old. Nicola Zalewski Move To Atalanta From Inter Suits All Parties MILAN, ITALY – MAY 03: Nicola Zalewski of FC Internazionale competes for the ball with Nicolas Valentini of Hellas Verona FC during the Serie A match between FC Internazionale and Hellas Verona FC at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on May 03, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) While Inter do end up with a hole in their squad depth as a result of selling Zalewski, the Polish international was hardly a first-choice starter. And there was no indication in preseason that coach Cristian Chivu planned to use Zalewski. By contrast, Atalanta coach Ivan Juric had pushed to keep hold of Zalewski when he was briefly in charge of Roma. That is an indication that the Croat trusts Zalewski to play a big role. Therefore, the 23-year-old can get plenty of playing time at the Gewiss Arena, on the left flank which has been an area of need.

Hughes explains Scott decision and latest transfer potential
Mark Hughes said a change in Carlisle United's style of play was behind his decision to allow Cedwyn Scott to leave. The frontman left the Blues last week to join National League North side South Shields. Scott's second spell with the club had seen him on United's books since January, when he was signed by previous boss Mike Williamson. But the 26-year-old struggled for opportunities under Hughes and has now moved on. Speaking for the first time on the decision, Hughes told the News & Star: 'Cedwyn was brought in to fill a specific role for a different style of play, and that's not the way we're going to play now. 'So really his opportunities to play we're going to be limited. 'He wanted to play. I had a conversation with him and couldn't guarantee him lots of game time. LISTEN: Mark Hughes on Boreham Wood draw, transfer decisions and more 'Clearly he was part of our group and in pre-season did really well, but I think he wants to play week-in, week-out and I wasn't able to give him that assurance, so he's moved on and we move on.' Scott scored once in his second spell with Carlisle, at Fleetwood last season (Image: Richard Parkes) Scott, who made 11 appearances and scored once for United in his latest spell, scored on his South Shields debut in their 2-0 win at Leamington on Saturday. Hughes, meanwhile, has not ruled out more incoming transfer business at Carlisle. He had previously said that the focus was more likely to be on offloading players before any more arrivals. Asked if, following Scott's move, this was still the case, he said: 'I would imagine so, [although] we might have the possibility to bring one or more in, but we'll see over the next week.'
