Rono Mukherjee, known for directing films like Haiwan (1977) and Tu Hi Meri Zindagi (1965), passed away on May 28 following a cardiac arrest. He was in his 80s and the eldest among the renowned Mukherjee brothers. His death came just months after the passing of his brother Deb Mukherjee.

As Shweta helped her into the car, Jaya again snapped at a paparazzo attempting to record her, saying sharply, 'Aao... aap aa jao gaadi me.' Her remarks quickly went viral online, with social media divided over her confrontational stance.

R Madhavan Says Pee Scene In Shaitaan Made Him Uncomfortable: ‘Had To Make It Disgusting'

Last Updated: R Madhavan says he felt deeply uncomfortable filming the urination scene in Shaitaan and reveals how he used a blanket to avoid looking and change the tone. R. Madhavan, who chillingly portrayed the antagonist in the psychological horror hit Shaitaan, recently opened up about the emotional and psychological toll of certain intense scenes from the film. In a new promotional interaction with Kajol for her upcoming horror film Maa, Madhavan reflected on one particular moment that left him deeply unsettled on set. The conversation, shared by JioStudios on YouTube, saw Kajol asking Madhavan if there were any scenes in Shaitaan that felt too disturbing or realistic to perform. Madhavan candidly responded, referencing a scene in which his character forces his on-screen daughter to dance all night, resulting in her wetting herself out of sheer physical strain. 'It was a very sensitive scene," Madhavan said. 'There's this moment where I make my daughter dance through the night. She reaches a point where she can't hold it anymore and urinates. In the original version of the film, the approach to the scene was different. But here, I realized that even as a villain, if I looked at her during that moment, it would send out a completely different message. I needed the audience to feel disgust—not pity or justification." Madhavan explained how he changed his physical performance to reflect that discomfort. 'So, I wrapped myself in a blanket, deliberately avoiding looking at her. That decision not only worked for the character but gave me relief as an actor. I could step away emotionally while still staying true to the role. I simply tell the mother, 'Can you go help your daughter?'" He further added, 'There were many such moments during filming that made me deeply uncomfortable. But I had to find ways to stay authentic while protecting myself emotionally." Shaitaan, directed by Vikas Bahl, is the Hindi adaptation of the 2023 Gujarati film Vash. It stars Ajay Devgn, Jyotika, and Janki Bodiwala alongside Madhavan in a dark and sinister role. The film, which follows a family held hostage by a mysterious man who exerts mind control over their daughter, was both a critical and commercial success, grossing over ₹100 crore at the Indian box office. Madhavan's raw honesty adds another layer to a performance that was already haunting—showing how even seasoned actors have to wrestle with the moral and emotional weight of their roles, especially in films that tread psychological depths. 'Thug Life' star Kamal Haasan's ex-wife Vani Ganapathy once revealed she walked out of the marriage with him: 'I have always refrained from mudslinging because...'

Kamal Haasan's marriage to Vani Ganapathy ended in divorce in 1988, amidst rumors of his relationship with Sarika. Haasan claimed the divorce nearly bankrupted him, a statement Vani disputed. She revealed she initiated the divorce and expressed disappointment over his handling of the financial settlement and his alleged relationship with Sarika during their marriage. Kamal Haasan , the legendary actor with a career spanning over six decades, has always been in the spotlight—both for his cinematic achievements and his personal life. While his recent film Thug Life has captured attention for its gripping story and bold scenes, the whispers about his past, especially his divorce from first wife Vani Ganapathy, continue to intrigue fans and media alike. Here's a closer look at the untold story behind their split and the aftermath that followed. Kamal Haasan fell in love with dancer Vani Ganapathy and married her in 1978. But problems started when news came out that Kamal was seeing Sarika . It was said that he began dating Sarika before he legally separated from Vani. In 1988, Kamal and Vani got divorced. Kamal later said that the divorce almost made him go bankrupt. Since their divorce, Vani has kept a low profile, but Kamal's claim about going bankrupt after their split upset her. She expressed frustration over his continued focus on the past, mentioning that despite their long separation, he refused to even give her used appliances from their shared home, reflecting her disappointment in his behavior. Vani also shared that she was the one who ended their marriage. She expressed surprise at Kamal's claims about bankruptcy, saying it was hard to believe that alimony could cause such a situation. She felt his ego might have been hurt by her decision to leave but thought he could have handled the matter more gracefully by simply mentioning financial difficulties. Vani and Kamal never publicly revealed the true reason for their divorce. However, several reports suggested that during his marriage to Vani, Kamal began a relationship with Sarika, and they were reportedly living together. When Sarika became pregnant with Shruti Haasan , Kamal divorced Vani and married Sarika later that same year.
