Brit woman, 59, arrested after groping girl, 14, on Costa del Sol beach in ‘repugnant & intolerable' sexual assault
A BRIT woman has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a popular holiday spot. The shocking incident is alleged to have taken place earlier this month, but only came to light today. 2 2 The 59-year-old Brit is said to have approached the teenager on a Costa del Sol beach. She allegedly spoke to her in English to "gain her trust" before groping her. The youngster, who is an Italian national, rushed to a nearby shop to seek help where a relative was working. They subsequently called the police to report the incident. Cops held the Brit, who allegedly has a history of sexual offences, in the same area. The shocking incident happened at La Cala de Mijas near Fuengirola earlier in the month. While the arrest was made by local police, Civil Guard officers are the ones who took her to court. It is unclear today whether the Brit was a holidaymaker or an expat in Spain. In addition, it's also unknown if she has been remanded in custody pending an ongoing investigation or released on bail. Local councillor Juan Carlos Cuevas described her alleged behaviour as "repugnant and intolerable". First tourists visit North Korea's ghostly 'Benidorm' resort where 'minders' follow visitors & phones are 'bugged' He added that, even though she has not yet been charged with any crime, it "deserves the strongest condemnation". The councillor further said the co-operation of locals and the rapid intervention of local police helped secure the arrest. "This case shows that when we work together, we manage to halt very serious situations," he said. Earlier this month, a Brit assassin who Spanish police say was on the run was arrested in Costa del Sol. Pistols, ammunition and a silencer were found in his smashed-up Nissan Qashqai. The suspected hitman had a run-in with two women at a petrol station - after which he crashed his car. He reportedly began harassing two Dutch women after trying to get them to buy him cocaine. The suspect tried to flee as cops arrived at the scene. Sources told local paper Diario Sur that he ran out of the car "with visible injuries" before quickly being caught by police.

Crossbow attacker who shot police thought he could ‘speak in dog'
A man who shot a police officer in the leg with a crossbow after stabbing a neighbour, thought he could 'speak in dog', a court heard. Jason King, 55, attacked Alistair Mahwuto, 63, with a small knife during a row that followed a 'long-standing' dispute on May 10 2024, Aylesbury Crown Court was told. Thames Valley Police officers called to the scene were shot repeatedly by King with a crossbow from his upstairs window before he chased them. Barrister Graham Smith, prosecuting, told the judge that King had appeared to be 'hunt and stalk' officers during the incident. He was later shot once by police in the stomach after refusing to put down the weapon when confronted. Mark Kimsey, defending, said King accepted the incident was 'very frightening' for those involved and that he had been suffering from a 'worsening mental condition'. He said: 'It appeared the defendant believed he was able to speak to the neighbour's dog and speak in dog,' adding that King thought he had contact with an 'Egyptian god'. The day before the shooting, King said his windows had been broken by a neighbour and had called police to his home in School Close in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The former computer worker admitted unlawful wounding, having an article with a blade or point, having an offensive weapon and wounding with intent and affray. He was jailed for nine years with a further three years on extended licence. 'Sense of grievance' Sentencing, Judge Jonathan Cooper said King had been motivated partly by 'revenge' and a 'sense of grievance' towards his neighbours and police who he believed had not handled the incident regarding his windows appropriately. Judge Cooper said: 'I note that you purchased the crossbow. I don't accept it was for recreational purposes. I consider that this was an attempt by you to arm yourself in the event of need.' In a statement read to court Mr Mahwuto, 63, who suffered a 2cm wound as a result of the stabbing, said the incident had 'affected me more than I would have ever imagined'. He said a doctor had told him his wound could have been fatal if it been a few centimetres higher. The officer shot by King said the incident had 'changed my outlook on life a bit', and that he now felt more 'protective' about his colleagues. In a statement read by Mr Smith, the officer said: 'I don't want anyone else to experience what I experienced. I hear jobs coming through on the radio and I don't want my colleagues going out to them.'
