The ANA5 Funnel Catheter is engineered to optimize mechanical thrombectomy by maximizing clot capture with its vessel-matching diameter funnel. Simultaneously, it enables antegrade flow arrest and offers the potential for flow reversal, enhancing aspiration-assisted clot retrieval. The ANA5 promotes improved clot capture and removal through its unique proprietary geometry.

The CE Mark approval is supported by a comprehensive body of evidence, including preclinical bench and animal studies, and clinical data from the recently published ANAIS study demonstrating high reperfusion and first-pass success rates. Further clinical validation is ongoing in the ATHENA trial, a prospective, multicenter randomized study systematically evaluating the impact of proximal flow arrest on reperfusion effectiveness, to support future regulatory submissions and commercialization efforts in the United States.
' Receiving CE Mark approval is a pivotal achievement for ANACONDA Biomed thatadvances our mission to innovate in the interventional management of acute ischemic stroke,' said Trent Reutiman, chief executive officer. " This milestone reflects the strength of our science and the dedication of our team. We now have the capability of making ANA5 available to clinicians across Europe, bringing this innovative technology to broader stroke application.'
Dr. Marc Ribo, the co-founder of Anaconda Biomed, added, " Receiving CE Mark approval for ANA5 is deeply meaningful, as it represents the culmination of years of research, iteration, and belief in an idea that began at the bench. This is more than a regulatory milestone; it's the moment where innovation becomes impact. We're now gearing up to capture real-world data by collecting more invaluable insight into how ANA5 performs across diverse stroke centers and clinical realities. '
About ANA Funnel Catheter
ANA5 Advanced Neurovascular Access™ (ANA Funnel Catheter) is designed as an expandable and collapsable funnel catheter for interventional neurovascular procedures, requiring the retrieval of clot, and benefiting from limiting flow and/or flow reversal towards that goal. The device consists of a radiopaque nitinol braid funnel, covered with a polymeric coating enabling local flow arrest. The catheter is currently an investigational device and is not available for sale in the United States.

Fashion sector contributes $382.85bn to EU's GDP annually
EBCA, which represents more than 75 leading fashion brands across 14 global companies has shared new findings on the EU's fashion sector by Oxford Economics. The study shows the fashion sector contributes €331.8bn ($382.85bn)to the EU's GDP each year, which is nearly 2% of total EU GDP and fuels jobs, trade, innovation, and prosperity across the continent. The direct GDP contribution is equivalent to 8.5% of the entire EU retail and trade sector. For every €1 gross value added (GVA) generated by the fashion industry, another €5 GVA was stimulated in other sectors in the EU. EBCA's director general Isabelle Maurizi explained the figures show Europe's branded clothing sector is a vital engine for jobs, innovation, and competitiveness. She said: 'We're committed to advancing a forward-looking trade agenda that supports sustainability, predictability, and a stronger voice for European brands and consumers in the global economy.' The findings were revealed at an event that gathered EU policymakers, fashion brand leaders, and sustainability advocates to discuss what's next for one of Europe's most creative and globally connected industries. The study revealed branded clothing makes up 80% of the EU clothing retail market. Plus, the EU is the largest global importer of apparel, footwear and bags. And second-largest exporter of apparel, footwear, and bags. The study also underscored the fashion sector's strong employment footprint with women representing 62.8% of the workforce. EBCA believes the findings and the event itself highlight the fashion sector's central role in shaping a more sustainable and more equitable future for branded clothing with responsible business practices and innovation driving growth "Fashion sector contributes $382.85bn to EU's GDP annually" was originally created and published by Just Style, a GlobalData owned brand. TSX futures rise as Iran-Israel ceasefire boosts market sentiment
(Reuters) -Futures linked to Canada's main stock index rose on Tuesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire after 12 days of war. Futures on the S&P/TSX index were up 0.5% at 06:50 a.m. ET (10:50 GMT) However, the truce remained shaky as, hours after the ceasefire declaration, Israeli Defence Minister said Iranian missiles were fired in violation of the agreement and he had ordered the military to strike Tehran in response. Iran denied the charge. Trump said both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire he had announced hours earlier. In other developments, the European Union and Canada agreed to deepen ties with a new security pact on Monday before the NATO summit began in the Hague. Oil prices, dropped more than 3% to two-week lows, while gold slipped as demand for safe-haven assets dampened on news of the ceasefire. The commodity-heavy S&P/TSX composite index approached recent record highs on Monday as the market shrugged off escalating tensions in the Middle East. Investors will monitor Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's semi-annual monetary policy testimony before Congress closely for clues on rate cuts after recent dovish remarks from Fed speakers. Also, Canada's May CPI data is expected later on Tuesday.
