OPP to announce significant investigations, including largest seizure of fentanyl

The OPP have announced they will outline details of two significant investigations on Tuesday June 10.
The investigations have been deemed separate.
One investigation includes using the 'dark web' for drug trafficking, while another investigation contains the largest amount of fentanyl the OPP say they have seized.
OPP, RCMP, and Hamilton Police Service are scheduled all be present that the announcement.

Police investigate two related thefts from Guelph business, almost $2.5K in cosmetics stolen

(Courtesy: Guelph Police Service) The Guelph Police Service is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection to what they believe to be two related thefts from a Guelph business. Police say on May 29, staff of a store near Gordon Street and Clair Road reported a man inside the store they believed had been involved in two earlier thefts. Nearly $1,300 in cosmetics were stolen on April 15 and another $1,200 were stolen on May 4, according to police. 'No theft occurred May 29 as it is believed the man realized staff were watching him and left the store,' police said in a media release. 'He is described as having tanned skin, 5'10', 200 pounds with dark hair. Staff saw him getting into a grey Dodge Caravan." Man rushed to the hospital following single-vehicle crash in Etobicoke
A man in his 20s was rushed to the hospital following a single-vehicle collision on June 8 near Dundas Street West and Shorncliffe Road. (Jacob Estrin/CTV News Toronto) A man has been rushed to the hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Etobicoke early Sunday afternoon. The crash, which Toronto police said happened around noon and involved a driver striking a concrete barrier trapping them inside, happened near Dundas Street West and Shorncliffe Road, just west of Kipling Avenue. Police said a man in his 20s was transported to a trauma centre via emergency run, but the extent of his injuries are not yet known. They also did not have any information on the victim's condition. Paramedics said they are on scene assessing the situation, but also do not have details at this point about any patients. Shorncliffe is closed in both directions as police investigate.
