Auburn basketball recently landed forward Keyshawn Hall from the transfer portal with the thought of him potentially never playing a second in orange and blue.
However, head coach Bruce Pearl received great news Tuesday as Hall has decided to back off the NBA draft process and will play for Auburn for the 2025-26 season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. Now that Hall has made his choice, attention turns to guard Tahaad Pettiford, who is also testing the NBA waters, to make his final decision.
Hall joins Auburn's roster following a strong season at UCF that saw him score a Big 12-leading 18.8 points and haul in 7.1 rebounds, which ranked No. 9 in the conference. He reached double figures in points 29 times last year, and scored 20 or more points in 16 games. He scored a season-high 40 points in UCF's win over Arizona State and scored 34 points in a game against Kansas.
Hall will play a major role in Auburn's frontcourt rebuild. A unit depleted by the departure of Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, and Chaney Johnson will be filled by Hall, Mississippi State transfer Keshawn Murphy, and JUCO center Emeka Opurum. Pearl says that he hopes to add one more center to round out what should be a stellar rotation at forward and center.

A Kevin Durant trade appears imminent. ESPN's Shams Charania reported Friday on 'The Pat McAfee Show' that the Suns superstar could be traded 'in the next few days' with the Rockets, Heat and Timberwolves at the forefront of the negotiations. 'There is some serious traction on conversations, on trade scenarios with the Suns,' Charania said, noting that between six and eight teams have reached out to Phoenix, but that the front office has keyed in on conversations with those three contenders in the past day or two.
