Save For the past three years, Elon Musk has steadily elbowed his way into the booming market for in-flight Wi-Fi, with his Starlink service signing up blue-chip carriers from Air France to Qatar Airways to United Airlines. Alaska Air Group Inc. said on Wednesday it will install Starlink starting next year and Virgin Atlantic in early July reached a deal to use the SpaceX-owned satellite network. Arch-rival British Airways might be not far behind, according to people familiar with the matter, in a deal that would let Musk lock up another flagship airline on the lucrative trans-Atlantic route.

Deadline Alert: Charter Communications, Inc. (CHTR) Investors Who Lost Money Urged to Contact Glancy Prongay & Murray LLP About Securities Fraud Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Glancy Prongay & Murray LLP reminds investors of the upcoming October 14, 2025 deadline to file a lead plaintiff motion in the class action filed on behalf of investors who purchased or otherwise acquired Charter Communications, Inc. ('Charter' or the 'Company') (NASDAQ: CHTR) common stock between , inclusive (the 'Class Period'). IF YOU SUFFERED A LOSS ON YOUR CHARTER INVESTMENTS, CLICK HERE TO INQUIRE ABOUT POTENTIALLY PURSUING CLAIMS TO RECOVER YOUR LOSS UNDER THE FEDERAL SECURITIES LAWS. What Happened? On July 25, 2025, Charter released its second quarter 2025 financial results, reporting that total internet customers had declined by 117,000, compared to about 100,000 in the second quarter of 2024, when adjusted to remove the prior year's impact of Affordable Connectivity Program ("ACP") related disconnected. The Company's total video customers also decreased by 80,000. On this news, Charter's stock price fell $70.25, or 18.5%, to close at $309.75 per share on July 25, 2025, thereby injuring investors. What Is the Lawsuit About? The complaint filed in this class action alleges that throughout the Class Period, Defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements, as well as failed to disclose material adverse facts about the Company's business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, Defendants failed to disclose to investors that: (1) the impact of the ACP end was a material event the Company was unable to manage or promptly move beyond; (2) the ACP end was actually having a sustaining impact on Internet customer declines and revenue; (3) neither was the Company executing broader operations in a way that would compensate for, or overcome the impact, of the ACP ending; (4) the Internet customer declines and broader failure of Charter's execution strategy created much greater risks on business plans and earnings growth than reported; (5) accordingly, the Company had no reasonable basis to state the Company was successfully executing operations, managing causes of Internet customer declines, or provide overly optimistic statements about the long term trajectory of the Company and EBITDA growth; and (6) as a result, Defendants' positive statements about the Company's business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times. If you purchased or otherwise acquired Charter common stock during the Class Period, you may move the Court no later than October 14, 2025 to request appointment as lead plaintiff in this putative class action lawsuit. The End Of An Era: AOL Discontinues Dial-Up Internet After 30 Years

AOL said last week stating that it would be discontinuing dial-up internet as of Sept. 30. The move marks the end of an era when it comes to the internet, as AOL is one of the last major companies to offer the service. The notice stated that AOL had made the decision to eliminate its dial-up option after a routine evaluation of its products and services. AOL has long been an internet pioneer. In the '90s and early '00s, it was one of the first companies to bring the world wide web into people's homes, capturing many users with its free trial CDs that appeared in mailboxes across the country. A disastrous merger with Time Warner in 2000 nearly brought an end to the company, but it managed to rebound. Throughout the 2010s, it rebranded as a digital media entity before being purchased by Verizon (NYSE:VZ) in 2015. In 2021, AOL was bought by private-equity firm Apollo Global Management (NYSE:APO) as a part of a $5 billion deal that also included another former internet giant, Yahoo! You can AOL has shrunk considerably over the last three decades, chipping away at former offerings— like instant messaging service AIM that shut down in 2017— bit by bit. Still, it's managed to plug along, offering services like dial-up, technical support, and identity theft protection. However, with U.S. Census data showed that only 163,000 people still rely on dial-up as the primary way they access the internet, it's not surprising that the company decided to call it a day on the former mainstay. A spokesperson for the company told CNN that the change "does not impact the numerous other valued products and services that these subscribers are able to access and enjoy as part of their plans." For those over the age of 30, however, the news certainly feels like an ending. Read Next: Bill Gates Warned About Water Scarcity.
