Percy Pig is one of the United Kingdom's most popular candies, a berry and grape flavored gummy that reportedly sells more than 20 million bags a year in the UK — about 38 bags a minute, according to All Recipes.
The lil' pillowy piggy treat, 33 years after its founding by the food division of Marks & Spencer in 1992, finally makes it over the pond for sale at Target stores in the U.S.
Target will be the exclusive retailer of Percy Pig candies and will start selling the $3.99 bags on March 30, including in South Florida.
Cult star Percy Pig
Percy Pig fans include pop culture stars like singers Olivia Rodrigo and Harry Styles, tennis champ Andy Murray and 'Spider-Man' actor Tom Holland, who voiced the perky pig in a 2021 M&S commercial. Rodrigo dished on her love for Percy Pig gummies on stage in London after trying them during her Guts World Tour in February 2024. The clip went viral on YouTube and TikTok.
Percy's a digital star, too. The official Percy Pig Instagram page has amassed more than 123,000 followers and views number in the millions from all the TikTok posts.
TikTok-ers rave over how 'cute' the pink gummies are. The flavor? Comments we found on TikTok include 'the most pillowy, marshmallowy, chewy gummy' and comparison to Swedish candies in foamy texture and juicy taste. One video from inside a store in England finds a fan clutching a bag. She ponders whether the use of fruit juice as an ingredient gives Percy Pig its signature rush. As she gushes, she proclaims the treat as addictive 'like crack.'
'We're thrilled to bring Percy Pig sweets to the U.S. and introduce him as a character to a whole new audience,' said Sharry Cramond, food marketing director at M&S, in a statement. 'Percy isn't just a sweet treat, he's a British icon. ... Over the years, Percy has grown from a much-loved gummy into a brand with a personality of his own, complete with friends, adventures and even his own story.'
British Vogue put Percy on its Hot List in 2008. In the UK there are toys, clothing, home and beauty products with the cartoon pig's cheerful image. When Percy hit 30 in 2022, the confectionery went vegan. (No more gelatin or beeswax in Percy's makeup.) In 2024, Percy was cross-marketed at the Summer Olympics and the first 'Wicked' movie in Europe.
Crossing the pond
Now, Percy's on target for his domestic debut.
Note: fans have been able to order 6-ounce Percy Pig bags for delivery via Amazon but the price runs around $12 — three times the $4 tag for the same size product at Target.
'We're beyond excited to introduce Percy to the U.S. for the very first time,' said Kathryn Turner, head of product development at M&S.

TikToker Elgunnasibli has been posting videos of his tiny kitten doing just that, and it's the cutest thing you'll see today. The video is a montage of clips showing all the times his 'clumsy kitten' has slept so soundly on his guitar that he slips right off it! We can't get enough of the cuteness and could watch it on repeat all day! Swoon! What an adorable kitten! Now we need to learn to play the guitar and then get a kitten! Elgunnasibili's video has racked up millions of views and has more than a thousand loved it! @Abiska Aveely got more than 25 thousand likes when they said, "The fact that one day they'll be too big to do this is so sad!" @LazyPaws added, "He knows you're always gonna catch him. That's why. ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — When spotlighting the most prominent Rochesterians — it's easy to quickly showcase Foreigner's lead singer Lou Gramm, abolitionist Frederick Douglass, and inventor George Eastman. Did you know these celebrities were born and raised right here in the Flower City? Known for providing the voice of Phineas Flynn on the Disney Channel animated series 'Phineas and Ferb' and playing the role of Chris Rock's best friend 'Greg' on 'Everybody Hates Chris,' Vincent Martella was born in Rochester before moving to central Florida during his childhood — according to the star's IMDB page. But the Martella family has stayed in the area — Captain Tony's Pizza & Pasta Emporium has been serving guests for more than 45 years, after Martella's relative Antonio opened in 1972. Vincent stopped by the pizza shop in 2017 for a special meet and greet before emceeing the Special Olympics that year. A new season of 'Phineas and Ferb' premiered on Disney+ on June 5. Did you know these movies were filmed around Rochester? His heart is a stereo — that was born and raised just 45 minutes from Rochester. Travie McCoy, co-founder and lead vocalist of the group 'Gym Class Heroes' was born in Geneva in 1981. McCoy formed the group with his friend, Matt McGinley, who he met in ninth grade at a Geneva High School. Gym Class Heroes has had top 20 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, and hit singles 'Cupid's Chokehold,' 'Stereo Hearts' with Maroon 5's Adam Levine and 'The Fighter' with OneRepublic's front man Ryan Tedder. 'Live from New York' comes naturally to the 'Saturday Night Live' star, since she was born near Rochester in Canandaigua in 1973! Kristen Wiig had a seven-season tenure on the hit TV show from 2005 to 2012, where she received four nominations for Primetime Emmy awards. Time Magazine named Wiig as one of the 100 most influential people in the world twice — in 2012 and 2025. After moving to Pennsylvania at the age of three, Wiig and her family returned to Rochester where she went to school at Allendale Columbia School and graduated from Brighton High School. Wiig's family has even closer ties as well. Wiig's paternal grandfather was a formed executive here at WROC-TV! Her mother ran a lake marina in Western New York, as well.
