A huge British actor, who starred in Masters of the Air, is a fan-favourite option to take on the role of James Bond in the upcoming instalment
A huge British star with a pop singer girlfriend is in the lead to take on the role of James Bond for the next instalment of the 007 franchise. There have been many rumours on who could be taking on the coveted role, including Saltburn star Jacob Elordi, Spider-Man's Tom Holland and Babygirl actor Harris Dickinson.

It is now being said Hammersmith-born star Callum Turner could also be in running for the role. In new odds from Heart Bingo, the Masters of the Air star, who is engaged with Dua Lipa, is being lined up as the next 007. Sarah Caskie, Head of Brand for online website Heart Bingo, said: 'The masses have spoken on X and we've collated the data to find that Callum Turner is the people's choice to replace Daniel Craig, with 63% of posts concerning his potential role in the next film being positive, while 0% were negative."

She added: "Henry Cavill's 34% positivity put him second in the eyes of the public, but 3% didn't seem too keen on him being the next Bond."
Callum is best known for his role as Theseus Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Frank Churchill in Emma.
He also starred in The Boys in the Boat, and TV shows Masters of the Air and The Capture.

Amazon completed its massive $8.5 billion acquisition of MGM Studios just over three years ago, which included the James Bond franchise. Fans of the movie haven't seen a new James Bond film since 2021, when No Time to Die was released as the final movie with Daniel Craig playing the lead role.
Amazon recently announced that Denis Villeneuve has signed up to direct the movie. He is best known for directing the Dune movies.

Tanya Lapointe will serve as executive producer, and Amy Pascal and David Heyman will serve as producers.
Upon taking the role, Denis emphasised that he is a huge fan of the franchise and that it is a 'huge honour' to take on the role of director.
He said: 'Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery.

"I'm a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he's sacred territory. I intend to honour the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come.'
He continued: 'This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour. Amy, David, and I are absolutely thrilled to bring him back to the screen. Thank you to Amazon MGM Studios for their trust.'

I'm trolled for having Christmas done in July with the food shop & gifts wrapped – but us single mums must be organised

Plus, scroll down for more on why supermarkets start selling Christmas stock so early FEELING FESTIVE I'm trolled for having Christmas done in July with the food shop & gifts wrapped – but us single mums must be organised Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) DESPITE December 25th being five months away, a single mother has revealed that she has already bought and wrapped her children's gifts. Not only this, but Char Chandler has also done her food shopping and stocked up on drinks and snacks for the festive season. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 A single mother has revealed that Christmas may be five months away, but that hasn't stopped her getting prepared Credit: / TikTok 2 Char Chandler has not only bought and wrapped gifts, but she's even done her food shopping too Credit: / TikTok But this mum-of-three, who 'loves Christmas' and can't get enough of shopping, has been trolled for being so prepared. Posting on social media, the brunette beauty proudly showed off her epic 'Christmas cupboard,' which despite it being only July, is already full with wrapped gifts and sweet treats. The short clip left many totally stunned, so much so that shortly after, Char uploaded a follow-up video in response to a rude remark from a troll. The comment read: 'F**k. Right. Off. It's. Only. F*****g. July' and to this, Char clapped back and said: 'I really don't get it, why can't you just be happy for someone, show it love, or scroll past? 'I'm happy, I'm organised and I don't have that Christmas rush and the hassle.' Char then urged people to 'be nice' and confirmed that "you never know what people are going through.' Not only has she purchased a variety of gifts for her little darlings, but she's also stocked up on Pringles, Mini Cheddars, Twiglets, nuts, tins of biscuits and a variety of crackers. As well as this, she's also purchased three bottles of fizzy drinks and dessert sauces, as well as popcorn, pretzels and marshmallows. Char later confirmed: 'My kids are 14, 13 and 6 - my eldest two know [the gifts] are there. It's just the youngest we hide them from and he doesn't know the cupboard exists.' Not only this, but Char confirmed that she likes to be organised and 'spread the cost.' I feel like a failure for only getting my 9-year-old cheap bits off TikTok for Christmas, but trolls slam my 'sob story' As well as having Christmas gifts to buy, she also has the cost of the summer holidays, her eldest son's birthday and two holidays coming up. So when asked 'why so early?', Char set the record straight and explained: 'Because I am a single parent and I want the best for my children so I spread the cost to make it the best I can.' I will stock up more as the months go on Char Chandler The bargain hunter later revealed that she got her wrapping paper from Amazon and acknowledged that she wraps each of her children's presents in different wrapping paper, rather than using gift tags. And for those wondering if Char's food shopping would go out of date before the special day, the savvy mum clarified that she checked the dates on her items and apart from a bottle of Coca-Cola, which goes out of date on 31st December 2025, everything else expires 2026 and onwards. Despite having a hefty stash already, the content creator later shared: 'I will stock up more as the months go on.' Why do shops start selling Christmas stock so early? Charlotte Harrington, the manager at Summerhill's garden centre in Basildon, Essex, explained: 'For many, many years now, we've opened our Christmas department on the August bank holiday. "The stock comes in early and we gradually start putting it out on the shop floor. This is just a small fraction of what we have. 'But our Christmas displays are so spectacular it takes time to get everything set up, so we have to start early. 'It may seem a little odd putting them out now — especially with the hot weather. 'But we have to plan so far in advance.' Social media users react The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 239,900 views. Not only this, but it's also amassed 10,800 likes, 2,298 comments and 900 shares. But social media users were left totally divided by Char's organisation - whilst some thought it was 'a great idea', others weren't as complimentary. One person said: 'Fail to prepare, prepare to fail! This is organisation at its finest.' By the time Christmas comes, they might not like it. That'll be my worry TikTok user Another added: 'That's why there's so many kids go without because parents don't do this! Why not buy all year so you know your children have the best Christmas!!' A third commented: 'That's actually a great idea. Don't have to spend a mint all at once and save money by getting stuff each week.' Meanwhile, someone else beamed: 'You are an amazing mum and very organised. I hope you have a magical Christmas 2025.' But at the same time, one user questioned: 'How do you know what to get them? By the time Christmas comes, they might not like it. That'll be my worry.' And another wrote: 'I would just forget what I had brought.' Iconic cafe serving the 'best full English breakfast' in London has been saved

London's most famous greasy spoon which has starred in film and TV has reopened to hungry visitors. The Regency Cafe in Westminster claimed to sell the 'best English breakfast in London' after opening in 1946. Fans of the cheap fry ups and old school service feared the caff would be gone forever after it closed in December 2024 when its owners put the business up for sale. But after just two days of viewings, the Regency Cafe was snapped up by new owners Fevzi and Zafer Gungor. Christie & Co confirmed to Metro that the sale was completed on Tuesday, with the kitchen serving customers again the same day. The new bosses, who own dozens of eateries in the capital, want to add a new flavour to the famous venue, by introducing a line of merchandise and expanding overseas. Fevzi Gungor said: 'I'm honoured to take over such a historic and much-loved institution. As someone born in Turkey and raised in White City, West London, my journey started humbly – delivering newspapers at 13 before school – and I've never looked back. 'My aim isn't to change what people already love about Regency Café, but to enhance it – extending opening hours, refreshing equipment, strengthening our social media presence, and introducing merchandise that captures the spirit of this iconic spot. 'We're also exploring partnerships with major British brands for co-branded sauces, beans, and more. 'We may look at expanding the kitchen to cater for Halal dining, reflecting the diverse communities and tourists we serve, including many from the Arab Peninsula. 'In time, I'd love to see the Regency name in key global cities – Amsterdam, Berlin, Istanbul, Dubai – but our immediate focus is on Regency Street.' Regency Cafe has played a starring role in a string of TV shows and films set in London. More Trending It has featured in the crime thriller Layer Cake (2004), which starred Daniel Craig before he was cast as James Bond. The famous fry ups also made an appearance in Oscar nominated films Pride (2014), which followed the efforts of London LGBTQ+'s community to support striking miners in the 1980s, and Elton John biopic Rocketman (2019), The business was sold to the pair at an undisclosed price, but it was originally listed for £170,000 through Christie & Co. The Pope's former private chef has opened a restaurant in SoHo

Chef Salvo Lo Castro's resume is truly a journey. The Italian-born chef has cooked all up and down the peninsula, from firing the burners at the three Michelin-starred Enoteca Pinchiorri to manning the kitchen of the five-star hotel San Domenico Palace in Sicily's Taormina region. But perhaps the most stunning of them all in this CV flex: For over a decade, chef Castro spent his time as a private chef for the Vatican, preparing meals for both Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. As of 2022, the chef moved stateside to introduce New Yorkers to the way that coffee should be consumed with the opening of CASASALVO. Made the Italian way, his four cafes sell espressos, Americanos and cappuccinos at the low price of $2.51. Continuing to cater and work as a private chef on the side, Castro decided it was time to break out on his own, opening his first NYC restaurant in SoHo. As of July 20, chef Castro's restaurant, also named CASASALVO, is now open on 195 Spring Street. The restaurant reads like an elevated neighborhood find with a dining room marked by crisp white tablecloths, Italian walnut paneling and lemon and olive trees that frame the whole thing. The illuminated onyx bar comes fully stocked with over 350 wines for the choosing, sourced from the reaches of Italy and France to New Zealand. But if you are more of a cocktail stan, you can take to the terrace facing Spring Street, as the streetside bar is dedicated to the one and only Aperol Spritz. The menu explores Castro's Italian and Mediterranean influences with starters that include truffle-topped beef carpaccio and deconstructed Mediterranean salad with blocks of feta. However, the meatballs may be his most personal, as the dish takes a page from his mother's kitchen. Pastas and risottos travel all around Italy: Think bowls of paccheri with guanciale and pistachios, and Carnaroli rice with parmigiano crema and summer truffle. From the sea, Dover sole is cooked in a tomato sauce and garnished with mint, while the whole branzino comes with a touch of flair, getting deboned tableside. All meats are cooked over charcoal, including the filet mignon, Colorado lamb chop and house ossobuco. And on the sweet's menu alongside seasonal fruits, eclairs and gelatos, one dessert clearly
