A.P. Minister launches Danish road project in Banaganapalle
This advanced method from Denmark has already been used with success at Heathrow Airport in the U.K., the Dubai Metro and Germany's A7 highway, the Minister said.
He observed that the project is part of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's vision to usher in modern and advanced technologies to the State. 'The government is ready to encourage and fund new ideas. This road at Banaganapalle is on a trial basis, and it will soon be expanded across the State' the Minister said.
He said that earlier, roads were traversed by heavy trucks carrying smaller loads. With the emergence of more factories in the cement and granite sectors, lorries often carry heavier loads, leading to faster damage to roads. 'Generally, the efficacy of a highway lasts only 3-4 years. But with this Danish technology, roads could be effective for a period running up to ten years' he said.
The Minister said the cost involved in building one km of such a road would be around ₹28 lakh.
Officials of the Roads and Buildings department said the new roads would use two kinds of fibre materials for a stronger surface and to prevent potholes, which are generally formed by the passage of heavy vehicles.
The Minister alleged that the previous YSRCP government had ignored road maintenance, and stalled providing matching grants for the new projects.
'The Chief Minister had toured Gujarat and Assam to study the latest technologies being used in the construction of modern roads. If this Danish-tech pilot project succeeds, it would be used across the State,' he said.

Chandrababu Naidu ordered the formation of State-level executive and advisory committees for effective implementation of the P4 (Public - Private - People - Partnership) initiative in the maiden general body meeting of the Swarna Andhra P4 Foundation held at the Secretariat on Friday. It was decided to form P4 chapters in each one of the district headquarters and in the constituencies. Addressing the meeting, Mr. Naidu said the government was implementing the P4 policy to improve the living standards of the poor, and told the officials to identify 15 lakh'Bangaru Kutumbams' and one lakh mentors by August 15. He noted that the P4 initiative was intended to extend long-term support to the poor, and said NRIs, industrialists and wealthy individuals should be roped in to hand-hold the poor families. He said the objective of the P-4 initiative was to eliminate poverty by 2029, while recalling the overwhelming response received by the Janmabhoomi programme, which helped create assets in villages and towns. Through P4, it was contemplated to assist the poor, thereby reducing inequalities. The top 10% of the rich people must be connected with the bottom 20%, who were languishing in poverty, he advised, and that the help being extended by the likes of Gates Foundation, Vedanta and GMR should be utilised. Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and others took part. The Chief Minister approved a logo for the P-4 initiative.

P4 Foundation launched to eradicate poverty by 2029
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday chaired the inaugural general body meeting of the Swarnandhra-P4 Foundation, signalling the official launch of a comprehensive programme aimed at making Andhra Pradesh a poverty-free state by 2029. The meeting, held at the Secretariat with ministers, public representatives, and officials joining via video conference, saw the Chief Minister finalise the P4 logo and lay out the strategic framework for its implementation. After reviewing six proposed designs, the official P4 logo was approved. The Chief Minister directed extensive outreach measures to promote the logo and share success stories and case studies of 'Bangaru Kutumbams' that have benefited. He also emphasised adequate recognition for mentors. To ensure widespread and effective execution, CM Naidu announced the formation of two central committees: a state-level executive committee and an advisory committee. Furthermore, P4 chapters will be established at both district and constituency levels. These chapters will comprise vice-chairmen of the Swarnandhra-P4 Foundation (including assigned ministers), public representatives, and government officials, ensuring a collaborative approach across all administrative tiers. The immediate goal is to identify 1.5 million 'Bangaru Kutumbams' by August 15 and appoint 1,00,000 dedicated guides. These guides will provide continuous support, offering initial aid and ongoing mentorship. 'It's not enough to assist once; we need committed mentors who stay engaged,' the CM stressed. He urged the identification of mentors from diverse backgrounds, including NRIs, industry leaders, and philanthropists, who are already contributing to poverty alleviation. 'With P4, our vision is to eliminate poverty in the state by 2029. This isn't an ordinary goal—it's a battle we must win to make history,' declared Naidu. He highlighted that resolve can make the impossible possible and encouraged the adoption of evolving development paradigms such as PPP (Public-Private Partnership) models and new VGF (Viability Gap Funding) mechanisms to accelerate the state's growth. Each constituency aims to select 6,000–10,000 'Bangaru Kutumbams,' presenting a significant opportunity for MLAs to serve their constituents directly. The Chief Minister specifically lauded Bapatla district for its exemplary leadership in P4 implementation, attributing its success to the dedication of local representatives and the district collector. Ministers, public representatives, Swarnandhra-P4 Foundation vice-chairman Parivararao, and principal secretary chief secretary K Vijayanand were among the senior officials present at the meeting.
