Paralympian missing in Las Vegas found
A British Paralympian who went missing in Las Vegas has been found safe, police in the USA have confirmed.
Sam Ruddock, from Rugby in Warwickshire, was reported missing by friends and family after he was last heard from on 16 April.
He had travelled to the US on 13 April to watch a Wrestlemania event, with his disappearance reported to Las Vegas police on 24 April.
A statement from the force said Ruddock, who has competed in shot put, cycling and sprinting, had been "located safe".
His friend Lucy Hatton had described his disappearance as "really, really out of character" and that she and his family were desperate for information.
Posting on social media on Monday evening, she celebrated that he had been found.

New York State Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance Supervisor Robert Bornt died May 30 after suffering catastrophic injuries related to a work zone intrusion in Pittstown, located just northeast of Albany, last week, according to Hochul. "The entire NYSDOT family is grieving over the death of Highway Supervisor Robert Bornt, who spent his entire life in the service of others, protecting the traveling public through his work at the NYS Department of Transportation and making his community a better place through his dedicated work at the Hoosick Falls Fire Department," NYSDOT commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez said in a written statement Thursday. A Hoosick Falls resident, Bornt, 54, was a member of the Hoosick Falls Fire Department for 27 years, including his most recent position of fire chief, a member of the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad for over 25 years and the CSEA regional union president, according to his obituary. "Whether responding to calls or offering his knowledge and steadfast support, (Bornt) was always ready to lend a helping hand," the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad said in a May 31 Facebook post. "His commitment, generosity and service to our community left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him." When he wasn't on duty, Bornt spent time coaching softball, hunting, riding snowmobiles and spending time with his grandson, Bentley. Bornt is survived by his grandson, wife, Sabrina Bornt, his mother, Patricia Bornt, children Charles Hodge Bornt and Allyson Bornt, sister, Julie Bryant and several other family members. Big Ten team loses key playmaker to potential season-ending injury One of the top teams in the Big Ten has potentially lost a key offensive playmaker with a season-ending injury. ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel reported on Friday that Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart has suffered a knee injury that is expected to "impact his availability" for the 2025 season. On3's Pete Nakos later added that Stewart's exact injury is a "torn patellar tendon" which can range to from three to 12 months for recovery. Stewart caught 48 passes for 613 yards in his first season with Oregon last year. He was a five-star prospect out of high school and originally played for Texas A&M before transferring to the Ducks. Michigan State doesn't play Oregon this upcoming season so the loss of Stewart doesn't have a direct impact on the Spartans. But it could impact the Ducks' ceiling this fall, which was Big Ten title contender. Should Michigan State surprise some folks and be in the mix for a Big Ten title this year, then the Stewart injury would have an impact on the Spartans. Investigation launched as woman found dead in property
The death of a woman in her 70s who was found inside a house is being treated as unexplained by police. Detectives have launched an investigation into the death after being called to the property on South Street in Salisbury on Thursday at about 08:30 BST. Det Ch Insp Phil Walker, from Wiltshire Police, said they appreciate the concern this will cause in the local community, but said there is "no risk to the wider public and we are not currently looking for anyone in connection with this investigation". He added that there will be will be an increased policing presence in the area while enquiries are carried out and offered his sympathies to the woman's family and friends.
