Double delight for Matildas fans as two of the team's stars drop huge news about their love lives
Wheeler, who plays for Everton in the UK, announced her engagement to partner Jeremy with an Instagram post on Monday.
Sharing a photo of herself showing off a sparkling ring alongside Jeremy on an Italian beach, Wheeler captioned the photo with six digits: '17.07.25'.
The news sparked a wave of Australian teammates rushing to congratulate the newly engaged couple.
Mary Fowler posted: 'Yayyy congrats you cuties.'
Hayley Raso wrote: 'No way, this is sooooo beautiful. Congrats you two.'
Teagan Micah posted: 'Screaming! So happy for you both.'
Meanwhile, Melbourne Victory star Chidiac tied the knot with her long-term partner Erin.
The A-League star posted a series of photos from the ceremony at the Sun Theatre in Melbourne's inner-west, which left her Matildas teammates overjoyed.
'Congratulations you two! Looked amazing,' posted Courtney Vine.
'Love it Chids, so happy for you both,' wrote Emily Gielnik.
The dual celebrations come at an interesting time for the Matildas after some mixed results so far in 2025.
However, new coach Joe Montemurro is confident the team will be ready for the 2026 Asian Cup.
'I've had less time to prepare teams for big tournaments,' Montemurro said earlier in the month.
Chidiac, who plays for Melbourne Victory, also received many well wishes from teammates
'The good thing about it, we're going to have a lot of players who are in season [for the next window], so they're going to be at least physically - and from a rhythm perspective - in tune.
'That was the biggest thing over the last 20 days - you saw the players, the rhythms were up, down, everywhere.
'All of them had to be managed physically.
'We won't have that problem [next time]. So at least we can go forward with players that are ready to go.'

Gurnaik Johal: ‘I had no idea Zadie Smith was such a big deal!'
My earliest reading memory I used to regularly reread my bright green copy of the Guinness Book of Records. I can still clearly picture the woman with the longest fingernails in the world. My favourite book growing up I loved the world-building in Michelle Paver's Wolf Brother series. Its stone age setting was different to anything I knew, but so easy to imagine being a part of. The book that changed me as a teenager I bought NW by Zadie Smith because its cover design was so striking. I had no idea she was such a big deal! Once I finished it, I sought out the books that she recommended. That's how I ended up reading Elizabeth Strout, George Saunders and Gustave Flaubert – which was a very good place to start. The writer who changed my mind I didn't read biographies until I stumbled upon Dana Stevens's book about Buster Keaton, Camera Man. She changed my mind about the genre, and now I can't watch Keaton's films without thinking about scenes from the book. The book that made me want to be a writer Reading short stories at university made me want to become a writer. Extra by Yiyun Li, A Temporary Matter by Jhumpa Lahiri and Recitatif by Toni Morrison stand out as early examples that got me to think differently about reading and writing. The book or author I came back to I didn't get Heart of Darkness at all when I first read it, and was too quick to judge it. Thankfully, I revisited it and now count Joseph Conrad as one of my favourite writers. I love his prose style and the scale of ambition in his novels. The book I reread Teaching courses on the short story allowed me to regularly revisit some favourites. Two stories that never left my syllabus were Pet Milk and Paper Lantern by Stuart Dybek. After dozens of rereads, Dybek's writing always feels new – I get swept along every time. The book I could never read again I listened to Karl Ove Knausgård's My Struggle while training for a marathon. I think if I read it again, it would invoke some kind of Pavlovian response. The book I discovered later in life I have myself to blame for reading Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe later than I should have – it was on my university course but I missed the lecture. Since reading it, I struggle to get on with novels that don't have any oomph to them. To hold my wavering attention, there's got to be a sense of adventure and play either at the level of the plot or the sentence – Robinson Crusoe has both. The book I am currently reading I'm slowly making my way through Larry McMurtry's epic western Lonesome Dove, which is a comedy of manners set on a cattle drive from Texas to Montana. The free indirect style is very Jane Austen and the dialogue very John Wayne. My comfort read I sometimes take Sheila Heti's Alphabetical Diaries on the tube to work. Dipping in and out of it at random is as close as I can get to meditation during rush hour. Saraswati by Gurnaik Johal is published by Serpent's Tail. Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that Taylor also had a snap of her and Travis as her screensaver as they notice a glimpse of the black and white jumper he wore during their trip to Lake Como together in May 2024 Marking the first time the NFL star has featured the pop sensation on his social media, the pair appeared smitten in the series of pictures The letter, penned in elegant calligraphy, assigned them to 'Table 13' – a potential nod to Swift's lucky number. The Daily Mail reached out to Swift's representatives for comment at the time. The image ignited a frenzy among fans, fuelling speculation that the pair had already exchanged vows. 'TAYLOR AND TRAVIS KELCE?!????? EXCUSE ME,' one fan wrote. 'They got married ?' another one questioned. 'Would be a welcome surprise for them! If true, hope they always share happiness together ❤️'; 'I KNEW IT!!';'This feels like something we shouldn't be seeing.' However, other fans believed the name choice was simply for the 'aesthetic.' 'It's not that weird. it's solely for aesthetic purposes.'; 'Technically it should be Travis and Taylor Kelce'; 'That's usually standard for weddings i believe.'

Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning pays tribute to beloved 'old friend and mentor' who suddenly died
Bernard Fanning has shared a sweet tribute to his 'old friend and mentor' who suddenly died. The Powderfinger frontman, 55, took to social media to remember Brisbane musician Andy McDonell, who passed away this week. He shared a photo of Andy to social media, alongside a heartfelt remembrance of 'one of the most talented people' he's ever known. 'I want to pay tribute to an old friend, mentor and all-round maniac Andy McDonell who passed away a few days ago,' Bernard began. 'One of the funniest, kindest and most extraordinarily talented people I have ever known. 'He was equal parts singer, songwriter, guitarist, thespian, comedian, poet, clown, and raconteur of the highest quality who was comfortable on stages of any size.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Continuing, Bernard went on to chart Andy's musical and artistic exploits, as well as his live collaborations with Powderfinger. 'He was first introduced to Powderfinger fans at the 1993 launch of our Transfusion EP where he and his friends from Omniscient Gallery performed an operation onstage that sprayed the audience with fake blood,' Bernard remembered. 'I think the resultant letter of complaint from an audience member's mother was the first of many we received. Thanks Macca. 'He was also a key part of our first ever acoustic show at Van Gogh's Earlobe in 1995 with partner-in-crime Ali St Ledger.' Bernard's tribute continued, with the My Happiness hitmaker admitting just how influential Andy had been in his own formative musical years. 'In the early days we played shows with him as a member of Damp Pants, Brasilia, Andy McDonell and the Contraption where he was the first performer I ever saw that gave himself over COMPLETELY to what he was doing,' he wrote. 'His warmth and good humour, not to mention his encyclopaedic songbook were an absolute inspiration. 'He's the only person I know who was equally comfortable with Tom Waits, Jacques Brel, ABBA and Led Zeppelin.' Rounding out the tribute, Bernard bade a fond farewell to his mate with: 'Most of all though, he was an absolute lord of the art of conversation and I will dearly miss chinwagging with him. Rest in Peace Macca. Love BF x' The post was met with an outpouring of condolences from friends and followers, with legendary Aussie punk rockers Frenzal Rhomb offering a simple: 'xoxoxox'. Bernard's Powderfinger bandmate Darren Middleton also responded with his own tribute to Andy. 'Beautifully written mate,' Darren wrote. 'He was always the "bar" to reach when we were finding our feet in music. 'A hugely talented singer/songwriter that I used to love watching on a Thursday night at The RE in Toowong and always nothing but friendly, funny and engaging in conversation. Xo' Andy's aforementioned 'partner in crime' Ali St Ledger was quick to thank Bernard for his tribute. 'Beautifully eloquent and spot on Bernard. Thank you,' she commented. Another follower jumped in, summing up the sentiment of many with: 'Beautifully said. Andy Mac was one of a kind, a true artist and a great human.' It comes as Powderfinger look likely to feature quite prominently in the Triple J Hottest 100 Australian Songs poll, which kicked off on Saturday. The indie-rock legends, who have snagged a formidable 18 ARIAs, certainly have no shortage of iconic tunes to pick from for the anticipated poll. But it is their 2000 single My Happiness which has the best chance of success, with online bookmaker Betr giving the multi-platinum tune the best odds to nab the top spot at 2.50. Meanwhile, TAB had the track These Days as an outside chance at 17.00.
