Thousands of pounds worth of power tools stolen in early-hours burglary

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of power tools were stolen from a commercial property.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a commercial burglary in North Dorset.
At around 2am on Sunday August 3, entry was gained to a property in the area of Tarrant Gunville, near Blandford Forum.
A number of power tools were stolen during the incident, including a chainsaw, hedge trimmers and PPE equipment valued at approximately £2,660.
Police Constable Shaun Fewell, of Dorset Police, said: 'We are conducting enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area overnight between Saturday 2 August and Sunday 3 August 2025.
'I would also be keen to hear from anyone who has come across any tools matching those described being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances.'

A woman has succumbed to her injuries after getting struck from behind by a bicyclist in northwest neighbourhood. On Aug. 2, a woman out for a walk with her husband on a path near Hidden Valley Drive N.W. was struck from behind shortly before 4 p.m. by a 12-year-old on a bicycle. The woman, who was in her 50s, was knocked to the ground. The victim sustained serious/life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. The incident wasn't initially reported and police did not attend the scene, but officers are now investigating. Impairment and speed are not considered factors in the collision.
