(Also read: Maala Parvathi calls FIR on Shwetha Menon over obscene content 'tug for power' during AMMA elections) The interim order in connection with actor Shwetha Menon was passed by Justice V G Arun.(Instagram/@shwetha_menon) Update on Shwetha Menon case The interim order was passed by Justice V G Arun on a plea moved by the actor to quash the FIR against her. The court also issued notice to the state and the complainant on whose complaint a magisterial court had ordered lodging of the FIR. An FIR under section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology (IT) Act and provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act was lodged against the actor. An officer of Ernakulam Central police station told PTI that no case was initially registered based on the complaint, but the activist went to court to seek registration of an FIR. About the complaint Social activist Martin Menachery filed a complaint against Shwetha. The complaint alleges that Shwetha had shot some obscene scenes in her past movies and that these were being circulated online on social media and various sites. The complaint specifically cited the actor's roles in films like Rathinirvedam, Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha, and Kalimannu, in addition to her appearance in a condom commercial. Shwetha is currently contesting for the post of president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Malayalam superstar Mohanlal had stepped down from the same post last year in the wake of the Justice Hema Committee Report. The election to the executive committee is scheduled for August 15. Meanwhile, speaking to the press, Martin has said that his complaint has nothing to do with AMMA elections.

Dhadak 2 box office day 6: Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri's film falls flat, earns just Rs…, faces tough competition from Son of Sardaar 2 and…
Shazia Iqbal's Dhadak 2 , starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, has had an underwhelming box office run since its release. Despite strong word-of-mouth, the romantic drama has shown minimal growth, and is facing a tough fight from Saiyaara, Son of Sardaar 2, and Mahavatar Narsimha , which has further impacted its business. Dhadak 2 box office collection Day 6 Released on August 1, 2025, Dhadak 2, according to Sacnilk, has been able to earn over Rs 15 crore in 6 days. The film opened with Rs 3.50 on Day 1, and saw a moderate growth on Day 2, earning Rs 3.75 crore. On Day 3, it saw a rise of 10 percent, brining its collection to Rs 4.15 crore. However, On Day 4, the film saw an unexpected fall in its numbers, collecting only Rs 1.35 crore, which further increased to Rs 1.65 crore on Day 5. On Day 6, Wednesday, the film saw a dip. According to early estimates, the film made Rs 1 crore across India, which is the lowest single-day collection for the film so far. With this, the film's sixth day earnings stands at Rs 15.40 crore. About Dhadak 2 Bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Dhadak 2 is a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. Apart from Siddhant and Triptii, the film also stars Zakir Hussain, Saurabh Sachdeva, Deeksha Joshi and Vipin Sharma in pivotal parts. Dhadak 2 revolves around two young law students, whose inter-cast love story is fraught with social injustice and caste politics. The film received appreciation for its sensitive subject and cast performances. Expressing her take on film's touching message, Triptii told PTI, 'It should reach the maximum audience because it's entertaining and also leaves a little note, so that is something which we are constantly looking for. We found that equilibrium… There is something real and sensitive about it ('Dhadak 2'). All of these guys have more responsibility, and they are very well aware of that. That's why they have been very quiet about everything, like while we were shooting for the film, even the censor board issues, we never spoke about anything.'
