Why Enbridge's Low-Risk Customer Base is a Win for Shareholders

Enbridge Inc. ENB in its first-quarter 2025 update claimed that more than 95% of its customers have an investment-grade credit profile. This means that most of the companies it does business with have been given strong credit ratings by independent agencies like Moody's or S&P. This indicates how creditworthy their customers are, which in turn signifies clients with high credit ratings will probably never miss payments for the midstream services they are getting from ENB. Thus, it can be said that the customers' strong financial standing signifies stable and predictable income for Enbridge.
This predictable cash flow is supporting ENB's stable business model. With most of the contracts being long-term, and the customers having a high credit profile, Enbridge's overall activities have lower vulnerability to the volatility in oil and natural gas prices and uncertainty in the energy business.
The midstream energy giants' stability in business secures stable and sustainable returns for shareholders. Enbridge has already rewarded shareholders with three decades of consecutive dividend increases. In the coming years, ENB will likely continue to reward its shareholders with attractive dividend yields, backed by its stable business model. Currently, ENB's dividend yield of almost 6% is higher than the 5.2% yield of the composite stocks belonging to the industry.
Do EPD & KMI Also Have a High-Credit-Profile Customer Base?
Like ENB, both Kinder Morgan KMI and Enterprise Products Partners LP EPD have a stable business model and are midstream energy majors. Both KMI and EPD are paying higher dividend yields than the oil-energy sector. While KMI's current yield of 4.3% is higher than the sector's 4.1%, EPD rewards unitholders with a 6.8% yield.
Most of the time, both Kinder Morgan and Enterprise Products have been rewarding investors with higher yields than the sector over the past several years. This reflects the midstream players' stable business model, likely backed by customers with a handsome credit profile.
ENB's Price Performance, Valuation & Estimates
Shares of Enbridge have gained 37.6% over the past year, outpacing the 34.9% rally of the composite stocks belonging to the industry.
From a valuation standpoint, ENB trades at a trailing 12-month enterprise value to EBITDA (EV/EBITDA) of 15.20X. This is above the broader industry average of 13.93X.

Resilient Performance in a Strategic Transition Quarter GURU reported Q2 2025 net revenue of $6.5 million, compared to $8.0 million in Q2 2024. Year-over-year growth momentum was largely negated by: the $1.4 million in US wholesale club rotations last year that were not repeated this year, and temporary significant order and shipments shortfalls in Canada in Q2 leading up to the end date of GURU's agreement with its former exclusive Canadian distributor. The shortfalls resulted in short-term disruption to product availability at certain retailers and are not expected to continue or recur in future quarters. Excluding the wholesale club rotations, US sales grew 38.9% on a constant currency basis, supported by velocity gains, innovation, and growing traction across online and premium retail channels. Canadian Innovation Leads to Direct Model Relaunch Despite temporary significant shipments dip, consumer response in Canada remained strong. The Q2 debut of GURU Zero Wild Berry, Wild Ruby Red, and Wild Ice Pop was met with high demand— Wild Ice Pop, in particular, outpaced legacy products in the early launch weeks at a major C&G banner. In addition, Q3 2025 will see the launch of Zero Wild Strawberry Watermelon in Quebec retailers and online in Canada. On May 22, GURU transitioned to a direct distribution model in Canada, regaining control over retail execution and strategic investments. New retail agreements are in place across all major banners, and field activation is already underway through best-in-class sales and marketing partners. US Growth Momentum Across Channels In Q2, GURU continued to build momentum in the US (+38.9% excluding prior year wholesale club rotations), the largest energy drink market in the world and a key growth driver for the Company. On Amazon US, March marked an all-time monthly sales high, supported by a successful spring sales campaign. More importantly, the repeat purchase rate increased to record levels, reinforcing the brand's consumer stickiness and growing loyalty in the competitive e-commerce space. In retail, combined sales in the natural food channel and at Whole Foods grew at an average of 26% year-over-year 3, with Whole Foods posting two record months. TSX Futures Fall Amid MidEast Tensions

Futures linked to Canada's main stock index fell on Thursday as optimism over tame U.S. inflation figures waned, while escalating tensions in the Middle East prompted investors to adopt a more cautious stance. The TSX Composite Index progressed 97.85 points to end Wednesday at 26,524.16. The index had reached a record closing high on Wednesday after U.S. consumer prices rose less than expected in May, boosting prospects for Federal Reserve interest rate cuts in coming months. Futures were down 0.3% Thursday. The Canadian dollar gained 0.17 cents to 73.34 cents U.S. In corporate news, Ivanhoe Mines said it had resumed underground mining in part of its Kakula copper mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which had been closed due to seismic activity, but lowered its output forecast for the year. ON BAYSTREET The TSX Venture Exchange sank 8.6 points, or 1.2%, Tuesday to 717.30. ON WALLSTREET Stock futures fell early Thursday after the S&P 500 saw its first negative session in four, pressured by a slide in Boeing shares following a crash in India. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrials stumbled 263 points, or 0.6%, to 42,645. Futures for the S&P 500 index retreated 29.5 points, or 0.5%, to 5,999.50. Futures for the NASDAQ let loose 94 points, or 0.4%, to 21,793.50. Dow component Boeing lost more than 7% in premarket trading after an Air India Dreamliner 787 crashed after takeoff with 242 passengers on board. The cause of the crash is unknown, and authorities said the injured are being treated. Shares of Oracle surged more than 7% after the company reported fiscal fourth-quarter results that beat on the top and bottom lines and indicated more cloud growth ahead. Wednesday marked a losing session on Wall Street, with the S&P 500 snapping its three-day win streak, as did the NASDAQ. But the moves were slight. While the day's losses put the S&P 500 a bit further away from reaching a new record high, the index is also still just more than 2% below its late February record. The previous session's losses come after consumer prices rose less than expected in May. Investors are now looking ahead to May's reading of the producer price index, due out at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday. Economists polled by Dow Jones are expecting the index to show a gain of 0.2% for the period. Subtracting out food and energy, core PPI is expected to show growth of 0.3% on the month. Wall Street is also waiting for more developments on trade, especially between the U.S. and China, as talks between the two countries have been a focal point this week. While officials reached an agreement in London, the deal still awaits approval from U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index dropped 0.7% Thursday, while in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng backpedaled 1.4% Oil prices docked $1.22 to $66.93 U.S. a barrel. Gold prices marched $62.10 to $3,495,80 U.S. an ounce.
