The final Spartan to enter the transfer portal off last year's team has found his new home.
Gehrig Normand announced his commitment to Santa Clara on Saturday night. Normand was one of three Spartans from last year's team to enter the transfer portal and is the final one to commit to his new team, with Xavier Booker already committing to UCLA and Tre Holloman to NC State.
Normand played two seasons for the Spartans before entering the portal. Normand redshirted during his freshman year and played sparingly this past season. He was considered, though, a great teammate despite the lack of production on the court.
With Normand committing to his new school, fans and media took to X to post their thoughts and feelings. Check out some of the best reactions to Normand's commitment to Santa Clara below:

Steelers CB Beanie Bishop's viral Pitt logo stomp blasted by GM Doug Whaley
Steelers CB Beanie Bishop's viral Pitt logo stomp blasted by GM Doug Whaley Beanie Bishop Jr.'s viral disrespect of Pitt football continues to make headlines — as new information on the situation has been brought to light. On 93.7 The Fan Morning Show, it was revealed that the Steelers were invited into the Pitt Panthers' locker room — where Bishop would commit his stomp and cleat drag on their logo— making the situation that much worse. A special guest on The Fan Morning Show — acting Pitt GM Doug Whaley — made it clear he was less than thrilled with Bishop's actions: "When you get invited to someone's house, and when you're in their locker room house, as sacred as it is — that locker room, you have to give it mad respect. And for [the Steelers] to be invited guests over — and for him to do this — it shows how unprofessional, but to the core, the type of person he is. There's lines you just don't cross. It's a fun rivalry, and we say 'we hate each other,' but we hate each other on the field. We respect the rivalry off the field." Whaley also previously worked as the Steelers' pro personal creator from 2000 to 2010 — which adds an extra layer of intrigue to his comments. Additionally, Bishop was unapologetic about his actions or the potential backlash, claiming that he only cared about the reactions of Steelers fans and WVU fans.
