Caring Together: Carefull to Partner with the Alzheimer's Association to Protect Families
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Carefull, the first financial safety platform built specifically for older adults and their families, is proud to support the Alzheimer's Association in raising awareness of the financial warning signs of cognitive decline and equipping families with tools to take early, protective action to prevent fraud and mistakes. Carefull is proud to support the care, services and research initiatives of the Alzheimer's Association. The Alzheimer's Association will provide information and resources aimed at helping families affected by dementia navigate financial challenges on Carefull's website. "Alzheimer's disease comes with a daily financial reality for families, and we are beyond proud to be working with the Alzheimer's Association to ensure financial safety is part of the cognitive health conversation" Share Designed to detect early behavioral signals and safeguard day-to-day finances, Carefull offers both a window into the early stages of cognitive change and a system to help preserve the financial independence and wellbeing of those affected. Carefull partners with financial institutions nationwide to bring these protections directly to the families they serve. Each year, more than 900,000 Americans develop Alzheimer's disease, with 7.2 million people aged 65 and older currently living with the condition. Behind each diagnosis is a network of loved ones offering critical support— nearly 12 million unpaid caregivers in the U.S. provide more than 19 billion hours of care annually for individuals with Alzheimer's or other dementias. 'We're committed to working with organizations that share our mission to protect and support older adults and their families. This effort is about helping families see what's happening sooner and act with confidence,' said Todd Rovak, Co-Founder of Carefull. 'Alzheimer's disease comes with a daily financial reality for families, and we are beyond proud to be working with the Alzheimer's Association to ensure financial safety is part of the cognitive health conversation.' Growing evidence shows that financial missteps—like missed bill payments, rising credit card debt, or unusual generosity—can signal early cognitive decline, including Alzheimer's. Research from institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, and the National Institute on Aging suggests these behaviors may surface up to six years before a clinical diagnosis. Identifying these financial warning signs offers a powerful opportunity for early intervention and support. Carefull turns this insight into action, offering families and caregivers proactive tools that can detect behavioral changes in financial activity. Through real-time alerts, Carefull ScamCheck, trusted contact infrastructure, and an expert and empathetic care team, Carefull provides early signals that allow families to act before small issues become life-altering crises, and deploy a system to safeguard someone who may become vulnerable to inbound financial scams. Long before a diagnosis, subtle financial changes like missed bills, unusual spending, or increased vulnerability to scams, can be among the first signs that something is wrong. Early detection of Alzheimer's can make a significant difference in how families respond, plan, and care for a loved one. About Carefull Carefull is the first financial safety platform designed to protect aging adults and their families, from elder fraud, scams, and money mistakes. VergeSense Launches Breakpoint Analyzer to Transform Space Planning with AI-Powered Precision
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- VergeSense, the leader in occupancy intelligence, today announced the beta release of Breakpoint Analyzer, a powerful new AI-powered tool that enables real estate and workplace teams to identify hidden inefficiencies in their floor plans, reclaim wasted space, and optimize their existing footprints. Breakpoint Analyzer is the first release in a new suite of predictive space planning tools from VergeSense designed to bring speed, clarity, and data-driven insights to portfolio planning. Breakpoint Analyzer is the first release in a new suite of predictive space planning tools from VergeSense designed to bring speed, clarity, and data-driven insights to portfolio planning. Share Breakpoint Analyzer leverages a proprietary AI model from VergeSense trained on over 200 million square feet of occupancy data to predict which spaces on a floor plan will fill up first, identify where you have too much of a space type, and where you can rebalance spaces to reduce space waste and improve efficiency. In a time when workplace teams are under pressure to optimize space while protecting employee experience, traditional planning methods—like expensive consulting engagements that yield static ratios or rely on outdated benchmarks—no longer meet the moment. Breakpoint Analyzer changes that. 'Space planning has historically been slow, siloed, and assumption-driven,' said Dan Ryan, CEO at VergeSense. 'Breakpoint Analyzer gives teams a faster, smarter way forward—grounded in how their spaces actually perform, not how they were designed on paper.' A New Standard for Measuring Capacity and Performance Powered by over 200 million square feet of real-world occupancy data, Breakpoint Analyzer leverages a customer's floor plans and occupancy data—like WiFi or sensor data—to evaluate: True usable capacity based on actual employee behavior Which space types will run out first, triggering productivity or experience issues How much capacity is lost due to inefficient room sizes or poor space mix Where layout changes could unlock hidden capacity Even in areas without full sensor coverage, Breakpoint Analyzer leverages VergeSense's proprietary benchmark dataset to simulate usage with high confidence—eliminating blind spots and guesswork. What It Means for Workplace and Real Estate Teams Breakpoint Analyzer helps teams: Replace static planning with dynamic, real-world analysis Act confidently even when occupancy data is incomplete Avoid costly overbuilds or under-provisioning Accelerate decisions that previously took weeks or months This release marks the first step in VergeSense's broader vision for predictive workplace planning. In the near future, customers will be able to take advantage of a new scenario planning tool to simulate the impact of policy changes, headcount growth, or layout adjustments—before making costly decisions. Beta Now Available Through August 31, 2025 Breakpoint Analyzer is now available in beta through August 31, 2025. Survey of America's Doctors Reveals Biggest Opportunities, Current Gaps for AI
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Inlightened, a tech-enabled insights platform that connects innovative client companies to a network of vetted healthcare professionals (HCPs), today announced the findings of a survey of U.S. physicians regarding AI. The findings reveal current usage and benefits, in addition to unrealized opportunities for novel solutions. The findings More than half – 57% – are currently using AI tools at work, such as ambient listening/clinical documentation, billing, chatbots, and diagnostics 26% are using AI tools because they believe they provide a competitive advantage Less than 1 in 3 (28%) say they feel prepared when it comes to leveraging AI's benefits and protecting patients from its risks Nearly 4 out of 10 (38%) said their organization does not have guidelines for the use of AI Half (52%) believe AI will be an ally in their current role. Of those: 29% believe AI will enable them to capture more revenue 40% believe it will both enable more accurate billing and help them design treatment plans for patients 3 out of 10 believe AI will be both an ally and a threat. Of those: 76% said AI is a potential threat because they could be held accountable for AI errors if patient data is misrepresented 57% said AI is a potential ally because it will help improve patient diagnoses 23% said AI is a potential threat because it will erode trust with their patients For those who feel unprepared to leverage AI's benefits and protect patients from its risks to feel more prepared: 55% said case studies/examples from colleagues/others in similar roles 45% said outside training (i.e., AI/tech expert outside my organization) 'These findings reveal significant opportunity for AI to drive responsible disruption across healthcare,' said Shelli Pavone, co-founder and president, Inlightened. 'America's doctors are ready and willing to try AI for a number of use cases, but need the right solutions to demonstrate both the business and [delivery of] care case. The opportunities are vast for companies to close existing gaps – e.g., AI for revenue capture – while addressing clinicians' concerns, such as AI's potential to erode trust between a doctor and patient and the question of accountability. I believe the companies that position themselves – and their solutions – as physicians' advocates will stand out and impact the future of healthcare.' According to the findings, 3 out of 10 clinicians feel their organization is behind in regards to developing guidelines for the use of AI, highlighting an opportunity – and need – for leaders to ensure those within their organizations have clear guidance for the inevitable adoption of AI tools. When asked what impact they believe AI will have on healthcare in the U.S., the top answers were: 'I believe AI will improve patient outcomes' – 55% 'I believe AI will reduce clinical burnout' – 50% 'I believe AI will lower healthcare costs' – 47% 'I believe AI will lead to increased data and security breaches' – 42% 'These results mirror the conversations I'm having with colleagues about the promises and risks of AI,' said Dr. Oren Mechanic, MD, MPH, MBA, practicing physician, professor, and strategic advisor. 'The technology's promise for improving both the delivery of care and patient outcomes is exciting, and we are currently at an important crossroad that could determine the future of healthcare in the U.S. With the widespread adoption of tools, there are still some gaps to fill, such as the dissemination of compliance guidance. These survey findings highlight the need for the right leadership to ensure we are pursuing AI's promises and mitigating its risks, such as privacy. As with many healthcare innovations, we will soon better understand all the ways this technology can help us improve our patients' – and our own – experience with the healthcare system.' Survey Methodology Inlightened sent the online survey to a randomized sample of its clinician experts and received 72 responses between March 4 and March 19, 2025. Inlightened is the go-to SaaS platform for healthcare innovation. We connect client organizations to on-demand insights, via an unparalleled network of curated, vetted, and engaged experts. In addition to being recognized among Forbes' Inaugural Next 1000, Inlightened has been featured in Crunchbase, Forbes, and MedCity News. We were acquired by part of the Jackson Healthcare® family of companies, in August of 2023, and continue to operate as an independent entity.
