Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Konkona Sen Sharma are coming together for Anurag Basu's Metro In Dinon. This is an extension of what we saw in Basu's own 2007 Life In A Metro. The trailer of the film is out and looks a promising take on love and loss.
Eight people at the crossroads of life. One story is about an unplanned pregnancy, the next one is about two aging people for whom age is just a number, a third one is about a woman's complicated love life and her complex relationship with her mother. More interesting here is Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan's track, where nobody has any idea where their tale is heading.
STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
Pritam has done some of his best work for Basu and here too, music is the thread that holds the fragility of these vulnerable stories together. And yes, Irrfan Khan and KK are no more with us. And the director did recall their absence recently.
Basu said, 'We miss Irrfan. We also miss KK very much. There were a lot of people whom we missed while shooting; the cameraman, my art director Rajat Poddar… There are so many who are not there in this room, sitting with us.'
Dada, as the director is fondly called, added, 'There were many moments during the shoot when we missed him. There was a scene we were shooting with Konkona, and right in the middle of the scene, she exchanged a look with me and she started crying…Let's not go there.'

What Dharmendra Told Ranveer Singh After Kissing Shabana Azmi: 'Mere Ek Hi Kiss Ne Hila Dala'

Last Updated: Dharmendra described kiss with Shabana Azmi as "aesthetic" and emphasised that "there is no age for romance." When Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani hit theatres in 2023, it made headlines for different reasons. Apart from the chemistry between the lead pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, what also caught everyone's attention was a lip-lock sequence between veteran actors Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. It instantly became the talk of the town and left everyone surprised. In a recent interview, Dharmendra also opened up about kissing Shabana Azmi in the movie. He described it as 'aesthetic" and emphasised that 'there is no age for romance." The actor recalled a hilarious conversation with Ranveer Singh and told ANI, 'Maine Ranveer ko bola, Ranveer, Rocky aur Rani ki prem kahani me, tune to bohot kisses ki hain, or meri ek hi kiss ne hila dala logo ko." 'In a way, he (Dharmendra's character in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani) was like Devdas, the Devdas who wandered in alcohol, with no memory of anything, and then he dies… It's tragic, and it was a good story," the veteran actor added. This is not the first time that Dharmendra opened up about his kissing scene in the Karan Johar directorial. Previously, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, the veteran actor said, 'I am hearing that Shabana and I have surprised the audience with the kissing scene, and at the same time they have even applauded it. I think people weren't expecting it and it came very suddenly which is why it created an impact. The last time I did a kissing scene was in Life In A Metro with Nafisa Ali and at that time too people had appreciated it." 'When Karan narrated the scene to us, I did not get excited (laughs). We understood it and I realised that it was something that the film required and wasn't forcefully put in and I said I will do it. Also, I believe there is no age for romance. Age is just a number and two people irrespective of age will show their love for each other by kissing. Shabana and I both did not feel any kind of awkwardness while doing it as it was very aesthetically shot," he added. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also stars Jaya Bachchan, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly and Anjali Anand in key roles. First Published:
