Boone's nostalgic jumpsuits

Benson Boone's sparkling debut at Coachella this year was one for the books. That's not just because Boone finished his marvelous set with Queen's Brian May, performing the band's iconic Bohemian Rhapsody and his very own hit Beautiful Things, but also paid homage to the late frontman Freddie Mercury in more ways than one.
Aside from reviving the Live Aid call-and-response, Boone also rocked the stage in a vibrant, deep-neck jumpsuit, reminiscent of Mercury's own performance picks. The Before You singer, who also notably wore skin-tight fits at the Grammys, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the nostalgic intent behind his eye-catching sartorial choices.
"My dad has always been a fanatic about Halloween and costumes," he recalled. "Every year our family would go all out and we would do family pictures. And I think now, because of that, I see being on stage as an opportunity to dress up and be a little more of an elevated version of myself, because obviously I would never pull up to a hangout with the boys in a jumpsuit."
Laughing, he added, "But at the same time, when I'm on stage, I want to give people something that's interesting, fun, cool, colourful, and sparkly, something that I can move around in - sometimes that's jumpsuits, sometimes that's open vests with dress pants, and I'm sure it will elevate to something else."
Boone opened his Coachella segment with a cotton gabardine jacket and wide leg trousers strapped with a leather belt flaunting a gold Devotion Heart buckle. The golden accents of the ensemble complemented the crop top's blue straps. He later donned Dolce & Gabbana's custom belt-strapping printed lurex long-sleeve bodysuit, which flared down the crystal-decked legs. He paired the look with a velvet cape with faux-fur train.
"I probably spent more time on my outfits than I think I ever have in my life," he said. "But definitely the highlight was having Brian May up on stage. He is incredible and such a lovely person."
Boone's performance of Bohemian Rhapsody made quite the splash, eliciting cheers as the singer played the piano, tossed away his fur coat, and sprung down the platform with a flip. "It was actually my first time going to Coachella, so I really had no idea what to expect."
After serenading the audience, he lent the spotlight to May who strummed his iconic guitar solo, though even Boone's efforts to hype up the legendary guitarist fell short. He acknowledged the audience's underwhelming response in a funny TikTok video.
"The crowd for sure was tough," he admitted in the interview. "But really other than that, the experience is pretty wild. It was incredible."

Addison Rae releases debut album Addison with introspective pop anthems and bold artistic statement

Addison Rae has officially entered the pop music spotlight with the release of her highly anticipated self-titled debut album, Addison, out today (June 6). The album arrives nearly a year after her viral single 'Diet Pepsi' and marks a turning point in Rae's creative evolution — from TikTok star to a fully realized pop artist. The 12-track album features no guest appearances and includes two interludes. Rae co-wrote every song alongside collaborators Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd, giving the project a deeply personal touch. As reported by Billboard's Lyndsey Havens and Josh Glicksman, the album's strength lies in Rae's balance of vulnerability and boldness, embracing the duality of fame and self-discovery. Over the past year, Rae has expanded her presence in music through high-profile performances with Charli XCX and Troye Sivan on the Sweat Tour, as well as an appearance with Charli and Arca at Coachella. During her Coachella set, Rae revealed the album's release date by showing 'June 6' written on her underwear — a bold nod to her flair for theatrics and personal branding. Despite her rising profile, Rae has described Addison as both her 'first and last album,' suggesting the project may stand alone as a personal and artistic milestone. On her website, this phrasing appears beneath each version of the album (CD, vinyl, and box set). Whether or not Rae continues down this path, Addison captures a pop star unafraid to reflect, experiment, and be heard. With its blend of introspection, fun, and stylistic clarity, Rae's debut leaves its mark — and listeners pressing repeat.

Ryan Coogler addresses future of Sinners after massive box office success

Director Ryan Coogler has confirmed that he will not create a sequel to Sinners, his critically acclaimed vampire thriller that has been a box office success in 2025. Despite its popularity and financial performance, Coogler emphasized that he always intended Sinners to be a standalone film. The supernatural drama starred Michael B. Jordan in a dual role as vampire twins and was praised for its original storytelling and genre-bending direction. It became the only original title to break into the top 10 highest-grossing films of the year, solidifying its impact without needing franchise backing. In a recent interview with Ebony, Coogler explained his decision: 'I've been in a space of making franchise films for a bit, so I wanted to get away from that… I was looking forward to delivering something original and personal.' He added that he wanted Sinners to feel like 'a full meal'—complete and self-contained, with no cliffhangers or need for continuation. Coogler's directorial journey began with Fruitvale Station in 2013, followed by major successes like Creed, Black Panther, and Wakanda Forever. While those films expanded into franchises, Sinners represents a return to his indie roots and creative freedom. Looking ahead, Coogler is working on Wrong Answer, another collaboration with Jordan, and the Disney+ spinoff series Eyes of Wakanda. He's also expected to return for Black Panther 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter. For now, Sinners continues to draw audiences in theaters—with no sequel planned, just as Coogler envisioned.

WATCH: Dan Reynolds waves Palestinian flag at Milan concert during Imagine Dragons tour

Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons, drew widespread attention during the band's recent concert in Milan by draping a Palestinian flag over his shoulders onstage—a gesture that prompted cheers from the audience but has since sparked mixed reactions online. The flag was reportedly thrown onto the stage during the May 27 performance. Reynolds picked it up, held it aloft to loud applause, and then placed it around his shoulders as the band continued playing. Videos of the moment quickly went viral on platforms like TikTok, X, and Instagram, shared widely by pro-Palestinian accounts such as @humantiproject and photojournalist Motaz Azaiza. The move marks a notable shift for the band, which faced criticism in 2023 for performing in Israel and Azerbaijan despite public calls for boycotts. At the time, many fans and human rights advocates urged the group to cancel those shows. Reynolds defended their decision in a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, stating, 'I don't believe in depriving our fans… because of the acts of their leaders and their governments,' calling such choices a 'slippery slope.' Now, the Milan concert gesture is being interpreted by some as a possible reconsideration of that stance, while others view it as symbolic but lacking follow-through. You know it's moments like these where I genuinely don't know what to do with myself anymore... I actually really liked Imagine Dragons, But now it seems they genuinely hate my people. It's disgusting how people still view Palestine as a moral virtue when it's all a myth. — Thunder Kid🎗️ (@ThunderKidOG) May 29, 2025 The incident comes amid rising global scrutiny of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. As public awareness grows, artists are increasingly expected to take a stand on political and humanitarian issues. Imagine Dragons now joins a growing list of musicians—such as Green Day, who recently expressed solidarity during their Coachella set—who are visibly engaging with the issue of Palestine amid ongoing conflict and calls for international attention.
