Report: Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Gary King Sued for Sexual Battery by Makeup Artist

Yahoo26-02-2025

Below Deck Sailing Yacht bosun Gary King's questionable behavior has finally caught up with him.
A former BDSY makeup artist has filed suit against both Bravo and Gary. She's alleging that Gary sexually assaulted her while the show was filming back in 2022.
Reality Tea reported the production member's allegations in August 2023. At the time, Samantha Suarez accused Gary of attempting to force himself on her during filming of BDSY Season 4.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Samantha alleges Gary acted inappropriately when she was asked to deliver a snack to his hotel room. In 2022, Covid restrictions required cast members to remain isolated in their rooms. In addition to makeup duties, Samantha delivered food and water to cast members isolated in their rooms.
When Samantha was in Gary's room, she claims that he refused to allow her to leave. When she went to the door, she says he grabbed her, restraining her upper body and arms.
Gary had just finished filming some confessionals for the show, where he'd consumed unknown quantities of alcohol. It's standard practice for producers to provide alcohol to cast members during interviews to make them more talkative.
Fearing she was about to be sexually assaulted, Samantha attempted to fight him off. She says he used his full weight to slam the door shut as she tried to leave, blocking her exit. Gary even suggested they should get into bed together, despite knowing she had a boyfriend.
Fortunately, Samantha's phone rang while she was attempting to free herself. When she answered it and Gary realized they could be overheard, he finally allowed her to leave.
Though he initially admitted his behavior, Gary later denied the story amid support from his crewmates and Captain Glenn Shephard.
Samantha says her boyfriend, Grey Duddleston, a BDSY production member, also reported the incident. Though Gary admitted the accusations, both Samantha and Grey were eventually fired. They were also added to a 'do not hire' list.
When Gary's future on the popular franchise seemed in question, he tried to backtrack and deny he did anything wrong. Though he was uninvited from BravoCon 2023, he was still featured in BDSY Season 5, which had already completed filming. Not wanting to scrap an entire season already in the can, Gary's scenes were reportedly edited for Season 5. He also turned on the charm for producers, 'trying to stay' on television.
'I know [that I did nothing wrong],' he said, reversing his previous admission of guilt. 'I know the truth, but it still hurts when people will tell lies to bring you down.'
Samantha is now suing Bravo and Gary for sexual battery, hostile work environment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and more. She is also seeking financial compensation.
TMZ reached out to NBC and Bravo, but received no comment in return.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht is available for streaming on Peacock.

This one question turned Daniel Mac into an online star overnight

A video about what expensive car owners do for a living took the internet by storm and started one online influencer's lucrative content-creation career. Daniel Macdonald, known as "Daniel Mac" across social media platforms, spoke with Fox News Digital about how he became an internet sensation by inquiring about what people on the streets do for a living. "It was during COVID and I walked up to somebody in an Audi R8 and I asked them what they did, I posted a video and my first video got like 40 million views just right off the bat," Macdonald said. He continued to post similar videos and, a week later, had one million followers. "It was kind of like an untapped market of people that were interested in a little bit of comedy, but also in figuring out how they could also get wealthy too. It was like the boom of kind of financial, on-the-street interview-style content," Macdonald said. Along with interviewing supercar owners, he has also interviewed owners of yachts, watches, and other luxury items. Macdonald described his niche as asking what luxury owners do for a living in order to get an insight into how these people became wealthy. When he started producing content, he didn't realize that there was also an opportunity to make money from content creation outside of YouTube. Then a few months later, Macdonald started receiving deals, recalling, "I did my first brand deal with Helen Mirren for 'Fast and Furious.' And that was like six months after I posted my first video." One big check surprised Macdonald, and was the start of his full-time content creation career. "The money was really interesting too. I remember, the first check that actually made me consider quitting my job was from Snapchat. And I remember looking at it and thinking it was a misprint, but the amount was basically my annual salary for a month. And that's when I realized that this is actually something that can be really lucrative." He then quit his 9-5, which he described as "really scary," and moved to Los Angeles. The leap of faith paid off and now Macdonald has met many celebrities and continues to post content to his social media pages that each have millions of followers and subscribers. "Every day, I'm like, this is the dream job. I can't even believe it's a reality," he said. Macdonald shared what he learned from interviewing wealthy people. "I think that's something that a lot of younger people need to hear is that you really don't need to have your job figured out because most of these wealthy people did 10 different things before they got wealthy that I interviewed." Additionally, Macdonald added that many wealthy people are not flashy and maintain a low profile. "It's actually a lot harder for me to get interviews out of people that are on that top, top level because they don't want to flex," he said. Macdonald concluded that he believes his platforms are encouraging other young people to get out of their comfort zone. "I get people to get out of the house and get out of their comfort zone, kind of like I do," he said. Watch Daniel Mac on "Fox & Friends" on June 17 at 8:50 a.m. ET.

Kim Cattrall Perfectly Explained Why She Met Partner Russell Thomas at Just the Right Time

While fans of Kim Cattrall have watched her date countless men in her years on Sex and the City, it seems she's luckier in love than even Samantha herself. Cattrall has been dating her partner, British actor Russell Thomas, since 2016, and she's finally opening up about their love story. In a new interview with The Times UK, Cattrall gushed about her longtime love. 'He's had an incredibly interesting life and really done it on his terms,' she said of Thomas, who is 14 years her junior. 'He's a bit of a rebel, which I love.' More from SheKnows Why Kate Middleton Is No Longer Wearing Her Engagement Ring That Belonged to Princess Diana The two first met in England when she was recording for a BBC radio show. The two instantly clicked, and soon Thomas was traveling to Canada (where she lives) to see her. 'We've been together almost ten years now,' she looked back. 'And we've had a blast. We've just had so much fun.' Cattrall, who's also starred in shows like Glamorous and How I Met Your Father, then explained why her connection with Thomas came at just the right time. In her words, having him was an expected joy after her brother Christopher's death by suicide in 2018. He was 55. 'I think when someone dies from suicide, those around them think, 'Why didn't I see it? Why wasn't I there?' Or, 'How could I have been ignoring, in retrospect, signs that were clearly unhealthy?' But that was ultimately his choice,' she said. 'I had to accept that I couldn't change that destiny. That as much as I thought I could, and as powerful as I thought I was, I couldn't have prevented it.' 'I keep saying I wish I hadn't gone through all that,' she said of the loss. 'And then I thought to myself, well, if I hadn't gone through that, I wouldn't have met Russ.' 'So life has surprises and trade-offs,' she continued. 'It was a bad time, but I learned a tremendous amount. And at the other end of it was this incredible, fun playmate.' We're so glad Cattrall has someone by her side no matter what. Rudy Gobert Addresses Concerning Details on Breakup With Pregnant Girlfriend

Facing backlash for his alleged breakup with his pregnant girlfriend, Minnesota Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert attempted to clear the air just hours after news broke. According to a TMZ report on May 16, Gobert kicked his girlfriend, Julia Bonilla, the mother of his one-year-old son, out of his home in April after learning that a second baby was on the way. Advertisement Bonilla addressed the report in a lengthy Instagram story post, saying, 'one of the most painful times in my life.' 'I considered Rudy the love of my life. I left everything for him. I gave him a child and poured my heart into our relationship,' she wrote, getting ahead of any assumption that she had cheated. 'I NEVER EVER been unfaithful to the father of my children,' she added. Gobert addressed the report himself a few hours later and redefined his relationship with Bonilla. "I'm asking everyone to please refrain from speculating and to respect our privacy in these difficult times."
