Luke Northmore will make his debut at centre as the only change to the England matchday 23 to face Argentina in the second test in San Juan on Saturday, replacing the injured Henry Slade in the starting XV.
Coach Steve Borthwick has kept faith in the team that outclassed Argentina 35-12 in the first test last weekend, despite the fact they are missing a host of players on tour with the British & Irish Lions in Australia.
"Saturday's match in San Juan is another great challenge," said Borthwick. "The players have trained with real focus and intensity this week, determined to keep improving in every area.
"We're expecting a tactical battle as well as a tough, physical contest, and everyone is excited for what should be a fantastic test match."
Harlequins centre Northmore, 28, will partner Seb Atkinson in the midfield, with George Ford at flyhalf and Ben Spencer in the number 10 jersey.
The back three contains wingers Will Muir and Tom Roebuck, with Freddie Steward at fullback.
Jamie George is at hooker with props Fin Baxter and Joe Heyes either side of him, and Charlie Ewels and Alex Coles make up the second row.

Singapore's Gan Ching Hwee sets new 400m freestyle national record at World Aquatics Championships
Singaporean national swimmer Gan Ching Hwee has broken a long-standing national record in the women's 400m freestyle, surpassing a mark that had stood for nearly 16 years. The previous record of 4:11.24 was set by Lynette Lim at the 2009 SEA Games. Competing at the World Aquatics Championship Singapore 2025, Gan clocked an impressive 4:09.81. She finished first in her heat and placed 13th overall, while the United States' Katie Ledecky topped the four heats with a time of 4:01.04. 'I was very pleasantly surprised that I went below my best time by that much,' Gan told reporters. 'Past a certain age, my best times have only been incrementally getting better. Especially the 400m, which has been quite a challenging event for me. I don't think I've made a massive breakthrough in the past few years.' This is not the first time Gan has rewritten the record books. During her Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Games, she broke national records in both the 800m and 1,500m freestyle events. In the 800m freestyle, Gan set a new national mark of 8:32.37, finishing seventh in her heat. She followed that with another record in the 1,500m freestyle, winning her heat in 16:10.13, although she narrowly missed out on the finals by one place.

India have not ruled out Bumrah for the final test, coach says

Bumrah has already played three tests in the series, the maximum workload team management had targeted for the bowler after he spent three months on the sidelines with a back injury before returning to action in April. India snatched an unlikely draw in the fourth test at Old Trafford on Sunday but trail the hosts 2-1 in the five-match series. "We haven't had any conversation around the combination for the last test," Gambhir said. "No decision has been made on whether Jasprit Bumrah will play or not. Ultimately, whoever plays, they will try and do the job for the country." India captain Shubman Gill suggested it might be left up to Bumrah to make the call. "If he feels like he's fully fit and available for us, I think it would be a great deal for us," Gill told the BBC. Top stories Swipe. Select. Stay informed.
