FM Visits Saudi Arabia for Bilateral Talks

Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty, departed on Monday morning for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on an official bilateral visit.
The visit is set to include the convening of the Political Consultation and Follow-up Committee between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
In addition, FM is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Saudi officials to further strengthen and support bilateral relations and to engage in consultations on shared regional challenges.

N. Korea Condemns U.S. Strikes on Iran

Nada Mustafa North Korea on Monday condemned the recent U.S. attacks on Iran, according to Al Arabiya. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that "the United States exploited the security interests of a sovereign state," in reference to the strikes targeting Iranian nuclear sites. Meanwhile, CNN quoted a U.S. Department of Justice official who said that the bombing of three nuclear facilities did not meet the threshold requiring congressional approval. The official added, 'If the conflict continues, the Trump administration may have to seek Congress's authorization,' noting that President Trump carried out the strikes under his executive powers and in accordance with the U.S. Constitution. In a statement issued on Sunday following a high-level meeting attended by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, President Abdul Latif Rashid, and Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the Iraqi leadership denounced the aggression. "The meeting condemned the blatant aggression against Iran, describing it as a flagrant violation of international laws and norms," the statement read. Jordanian King, UK PM Starmer Discuss De-escalation, Regional Stability

Nada Mustafa Jordanian King Abdullah II and UK Prime Minister (PM) Keir Starmer held a phone call on Sunday to discuss efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region. According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), King Abdullah emphasized the urgent need to intensify international diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive de-escalation. He warned of the consequences of continued escalation and rising tensions in the region, firmly stating that Jordan will not be a battlefield for any conflict and will not allow its security, stability, or the safety of its citizens to be compromised. Jordanian King also stressed the importance of maintaining international focus on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
