Prime Day Deal: Save 15% on the Modular Speakers I Take Everywhere

CNET10-07-2025
Surround sound on the go? This Amazons Prime Day deal knocks the four-speaker pack to $400 , as long as you check the box next to the 15% off coupon. That's the best price I've seen all year, and it might disappear when Prime Day wraps on July 11.
A quick search for Bluetooth speakers online, and I get dozens upon dozens of options, which quickly becomes pretty overwhelming, even though I review these products for CNET. There are the more popular Bluetooth speaker options, and the safe buys, like the JBL Charge 6 and the Soundcore Boom 2 by Anker, both of which I've personally used. But each Bluetooth speaker serves a different purpose, so if I'm buying a new speaker, I need to think about what I want out of it.
What I'm looking for is a versatile speaker. One that's portable, but sounds high-quality. One that I can use at home and in the office, or toss up at a backyard party. That's where Rocksteady's Stadium 2.0 speakers come in. I can connect an unlimited number of high-quality speakers with the Stadium, including a wireless sub-woofer, for any summer activity I've got going on. They're wireless, portable and have up to 30 hours of battery.
A Bluetooth speaker that can morph from travel companion to full-blown party setup
Rocksteady's Stadium 2.0 kits all aim to do what most other Bluetooth speakers can't easily do: scale from a single bedside speaker to a backyard surround sound rig, all without the tangle of cables, and still provide high-quality sound.
You can go with a single speaker ($150), which offers a dual-driver setup (powered tweeter and mid-bass driver) along with dual bass drums, so you get crisp highs, warm mids and some of that low-end thump. I use a single speaker in my bedroom or office, where it's a relatively confined space, where I don't need too much.
This is a single Rocksteady Stadium speaker, great for smaller spaces.

If you want to upgrade your listening experience to something punchier, you can add a dedicated subwoofer ($180) to your speaker. You obviously get more bass, and you notice the difference if you're listening to hip-hop or EDM, or watching a movie with lots of gunfire and explosions. If you want to go this route, I would definitely recommend the speaker and subwoofer pack ($400), which comes with two speakers and a sub.
The two speakers with the subwoofer can easily upgrade your TV audio.

But where the Rocksteady Stadium 2.0 excels is in the four-speaker and subwoofer pack. Yeah, it is a little expensive at $600, but if you have the money, it offers the most versatility because you can connect as few or as many speakers as you need for whatever occasion. This is the setup I use the most for everything from backyard barbecues and parties at Airbnbs to listening parties and movie nights.
While this is the biggest kit they sell, you can always buy additional speakers to add on to the size, although it might mostly be overkill unless you have a large enough space.

Setting up all your speakers is as easy as a tap of a button
Getting the Stadium 2.0 up and running is pretty simple. You can power on any speaker and then hit the Bluetooth icon to pair it to your phone -- you should see a unique "Rocksteady_XXXX" ID.
That first speaker will become the host. After that, simply hit the Stadium button on the host and then on each extra satellite speaker, or wireless sub, to add it to the mesh. It takes about 15 seconds to pair all of the speakers into one, and the best thing about it is that your speakers remember this lineup, so the next time you turn them on, they'll all automatically connect, without you having to re-pair them.
There are buttons to connect to bluetooth, pair with other speakers, pause and play music, skip songs and adjust the volume.
Nelson Aguilar/CNET
Once you're all linked up, you can assign each speaker with a left, right or stereo duty designation with a quick toggle, letting you build a two-channel desktop rig for your computer or a bunch of dual-duty speakers for surround-sound in your backyard.
The system keeps all channels in sync up to roughly 150 feet, and each box charges over USB-C, so grabbing any phone brick will top them off for the quoted 30-hour run time. And the four-speaker kit comes with a carrying case, so it's easy to travel with all your speakers.
On the side you'll find controls to switch the speaker designation (left, both, right), plug in an aux cable and charge the speaker (USB-C).
Nelson Aguilar/CNET
In short: no app, no cables, no headache -- just place, pair and press play.

Rigetti Secured a String of High-Profile Awards in Q1 Rigetti Computing's Q1 2025 financial report, released on May 12, paints a picture of a company balancing operational challenges with strategic and technological advances. For the quarter ended March 31, revenues totaled just $1.5 million, down markedly from the prior-year quarter's $3.1 million, while operating expenses climbed to $22.1 million, resulting in an operating loss of $21.6 million. Despite this, a net income of $42.6 million was recorded, driven almost entirely by $62.1 million in non-cash gains stemming from derivative warrant and earn-out liability revaluations, a significant turnaround from the losses in the year-ago quarter. Rigetti reported EPS of $0.13, a notable improvement from the loss of $0.14 per share in Q1 2024. Rigetti simultaneously secured a string of high-profile awards and collaborations that underscore its commitment to advancing quantum computing. The company entered Stage A of DARPA's Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, a performance-based contract worth up to $1 million, centered on its utility-scale quantum computer concept developed with partner Riverlane. An additional award worth $5.48 million was granted to lead a consortium exploring the Alternating-Bias Assisted Annealing (ABAA) chip fabrication technique aimed at improving the microscopic quality of superconducting qubits. Across the pond, Rigetti won three Innovate UK Quantum Missions pilot awards, funding projects such as upgrading its NQCC-hosted QPU from 24 to 36 qubits, integrating chip-based controls with its 9-qubit Novera QPU in partnership with SEEQC, and developing a shared open-architecture quantum testbed with collaborators like TreQ, Qruise, Q-CTRL, and Oxford Ionics. In terms of capital strength, the company ended Q1 with $209.1 million in cash, cash equivalents and available-for-sale investments, which grew to $237.7 million by April 30 following the closing of the share purchase by Quanta Computer. Meanwhile, analysts anticipate loss per share to improve 30.6% YoY to $0.25 in fiscal 2025, before improving by another 16% to reach $0.21 in fiscal 2026. Regarding the broader 2025 roadmap, Rigetti has laid out some forward-looking technical milestones. Management highlighted plans to scale its quantum systems, targeting a 36-qubit processor by mid-2025 and surpassing 100 qubits by year-end, along with achieving 99.5% to 99.7% two-qubit gate fidelity and gate speeds under 10 nanoseconds. What Do Analysts Expect for Rigetti Stock? Rigetti's stock has seen a wave of bullish upgrades in recent weeks. The most notable came on Aug. 4, when Needham analyst Quinn Bolton raised his price target from $15 to $18 and reaffirmed a 'Buy' rating, citing surging momentum in the quantum computing industry, boosted by initiatives like DARPA's Quantum Benchmark Initiative and Congressional progress on the Department of Energy Quantum Leadership Act of 2025. Just a couple of weeks earlier, on July 23, B. Riley also increased its price target, lifting it to $19 (from $15) while maintaining a 'Buy' stance. Wall Street is majorly bullish on RGTI. This trending deal at Best Buy gets you a MacBook for under $700

Whether you're going back to college or just need a new MacBook, now seems to be the time to buy. Rare Apple deals are popping up everywhere as the school bells start to ring and shoppers are making tariff-affected decisions. Let's look at just one of these deals today, and a darn good one at that. Presently, you can get a 13-inch MacBook Air Laptop with an M2 chip for just $699. That's a new MacBook for under $700, and a savings of $100 off the usual $799. Tap the button below to see it yourself, or keep reading to remind yourself of the capabilities of the M2 chip, as well as see more about what the laptop is capable of in full. Why you should buy the MacBook Air M2 Despite what Apple may want you to think, it's the numbers that make up a laptop. This 13-inch MacBook Air M2 Laptop has 16GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a battery life that goes up to 18 hours. All for less than $700 while this deal is on. Then there's the 2560 x 1664 resolution screen (which will look great on 13-inches), Thunderbolt ports, and even a (rare for Apple) headphone jack. Great, great, and great. Clearly, this laptop has good stats. One thing that may worry you, however, is the fact that it has an M2 chip. The latest MacBooks have an M4 chip, after all. But is 2 really half of 4? Not necessarily. Beyond our Apple M2 chip explainer, which explains that the chip supports up to 24GB of RAM (among other stats), there's an incredibly great resource that compares the M2 vs the M3 chip. While there's a lot of nitty gritty, the key line is this: 'There's much less of a difference between the M3 MacBook Air and the M2 MacBook Air than in the previous generation jump.' You're still getting incredibly quality from the MacBook Air M2, beyond what numbers may suggest. The 13-inch MacBook Air with an M2 chip at $699 is undoubtedly a good deal. And, it's yours (along with the $100 in savings off of the usual $799 price) if you tap the button below. Alternatively, check out these other amazing laptop deals if you want to scout for something outside of the Apple ecosystem.
