When the video was reposted by DramaAlert on X, it got over 58 million views. Many viewers didn't question its authenticity, and it slipped easily into people's feeds. Without seeing too closely, the video seems like just another type of content on the feed.
Videos on X play without sound by default, and include dialogue in a made-up, gibberish language. As explained by Mashable, 'The sound quickly exposes the artifice—the two women in the clip are speaking in a nonsensical language.'
The emotional support kangaroo may be the first truly viral AI-generated video to fool a mass audience.
