The last rites of Shefali Jariwala, the actor known for her iconic single 'Kaanta Laga', were performed at a crematorium on Saturday evening in the presence of her friends and family.
Jariwala passed away on Friday night at the age of 42. Many media reports claim that she died due to a cardiac arrest, though the official cause of her death is yet to be ascertained.
Her funeral was held Oshiwara Hindu crematorium. The last rites were performed by Jariwala's actor-husband Parag Tyagi, her father Satish Jariwala, and younger sister Shivani Jariwala.

The actress' husband Parag Tyagi once said this about his wife, 'Shefali is a sweetheart. When her music video was out, people had another image of her, but she was completely the opposite of her screen image. She is a girl any guy would love to have as a wife.'
The actor added, 'She is very caring, and it shows. To judge a person, you need to look into what is happening in his or her home. She loves her parents and looks after them like a son would. She also looks after my parents.'

The actress once said, 'The road to adoption is not an easy one. here are a lot of laws in place. Authorities check every aspect from the stability of a couple's marriage to their health. It is also a lot of paper work and counselling.'
She added, 'It (adoption) is a very brave decision, especially in the culture we belong to. My family is still in the process of being okay. I know they'll be supportive.'

Its preliminary report is likely to come today. 14 people questioned, CCTV footage collected The police are leaving no gap in their probe. They have already recorded statements from 14 people. These include her family members, domestic staff, and close friends who often met Shefali. This will help them build a clear timeline of her last days. The same report mentioned, 'The police have also recorded the statement of the pharmacist of the medical store from where Shefali and her family used to procure medicines.' Along with this, police have taken seven samples of CCTV footage from around her building. They are now going through these videos to check who visited Shefali's home and if anything unusual was caught on camera. Early medical findings hint at natural causes As per the findings from the first medical checks, the report further said, 'Shefali's death is said to have been due to low blood pressure, cardiac arrest and heavy gastric condition.' But exact confirmed details are awaited. Emotional final farewell Shefali was cremated at the Oshiwara Crematorium on Saturday evening. Her husband Parag Tyagi was seen breaking down at the funeral and later told the media and her fans to pray for her. Close family, friends and many well-known faces from the television world were there to pay their final respects.
