Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Al Jomaih & Shell Lubricating Oil Company Ltd., (JOSLOC) has officially entered a strategic partnership with United International Transportation Company (Budget Saudi, Rahal Ltd, Auto World, and Payless). In this supply agreement, the full range of Shell lubricant's product portfolio will be supplied to Budget Saudi Arabia and Auto World's extensive fleet across the Kingdom. This collaboration reinforces the commitment to delivering superior quality and efficiency in the vehicle's performance and maintenance.
Budget Saudi strives to be the best and preferred mobility solutions partner in the transportation and logistics sector in the Middle East. The organization boasts the most extensive fleet in the Kingdom, and places significant emphasis on customer satisfaction, quality, and sustainability.

Saudi Arabia's economy expanded by 3.4 per cent in the first quarter of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, according to new data released by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT). The Kingdom's robust economic performance was driven primarily by a 4.9 per cent surge in non-oil activities, alongside a 3.2 per cent increase in government activities. Meanwhile, oil-related activities declined slightly by 0.5 per cent, underscoring the country's ongoing shift towards economic diversification under Vision 2030. Saudi GDP 2025 On a seasonally adjusted basis, real GDP increased by 1.1 per cent compared to the fourth quarter of 2024. GASTAT's report highlighted that non-oil activities were the largest contributors to real GDP growth on an annual basis, adding 2.8 percentage points to the total. Government activities contributed 0.5 percentage points, while net product taxes added a further 0.2 percentage points. Among individual sectors, wholesale and retail trade, restaurants, and hotels stood out with the highest annual growth rate of 8.4 per cent in Q1 2025, and a quarterly growth of 0.7 per cent, reflecting a rebound in consumer demand and tourism activity.

Budget Saudi's board mulls 34% capital increase

Riyadh – The board of United International Transportation Company (Budget Saudi) recommended a 33.74% capital hike, according to a bourse disclosure. The group will distribute 26.05 million shares as bonus shares to shareholders by granting one bonus share for each three owned shares, representing a 33.33% increase in the company's capital. Moreover, the company will allocate an additional 320,000 shares, equivalent to 0.41% of the company's capital raise, for the long-term employee incentive shares program. Accordingly, the new capital will stand at SAR 1.04 billion distributed over 104.54 million shares, compared to SAR 781.66 million and 78.16 million shares. The board member proposed the transaction on 4 June 2025 to support the company's growth and reinforce its financial position. Budget Saudi will capitalize SAR 263.75 million from the retained earnings account. In the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, the company's net profits jumped by 18.13% to SAR 82.76 million from SAR 70.05 million in Q1-24.
