Ramky Infra begins debt-free growth journey after fully repaying INR 3,859.81 Cr

Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI) Ramky Infrastructure Limited (Ramky, a flagship company of Ramky Group), one of the leaders in the realm of infrastructure development, has become one of the few Indian companies to successfully execute a Restructuring Exit Agreement (REA) with its lenders.
The company had earlier entered into a Restructuring Agreement (RA) on June 12, 2015, to reorganize a total debt of INR 3,859.81 crores, comprising both term loans and working capital facilities.
The restructured term loans were fully repaid by June 2019, the Hyderabad-based company said in a release here today.
Subsequently, on July 11, 2025, Ramky Infrastructure and its lenders formally executed the REA.
As a result, all working capital facilities are now classified as regular and standard by the lenders.
With no outstanding term loans and a successful exit from the restructuring framework, Ramky Infrastructure is now well-positioned to improve both its external credit ratings and internal bank assessments, thereby strengthening its overall financial profile.
Y.R. Nagaraja, Managing Director, Ramky Infrastructure Ltd said: "Entering REA not only fortifies our financial position, but also empowers us to aggressively pursue our strategic objectives in the rapidly expanding sustainable infrastructure market. We are committed to delivering enhanced value to our shareholders and contributing to India's infrastructure development. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the shareholders, investors, lenders, auditors, and other internal and external stakeholders for their invaluable and continued support."

In 1993, when Pichai received a graduate scholarship to Stanford University, his family spent more than his father's annual salary (USD1,000) to buy a flight ticket to California. Long Journey At Google And Focus On AI After joining Google, Pichai worked hard for more than a decade and took the company to new heights. He helped in developing the Chrome browser and led the Android division, even before being named CEO in 2015. During an interview with Bloomberg in October last year, Pichai said that 'One of the first things I did as CEO was focus the company on AI.' Hyd realty: Long-term growth potential remains strong

Hyderabad: Institutional investment in Hyderabad fell 53 per cent quarter-over-quarter and 15 per cent year-on-year, according to a recent report by investment management firm Colliers India. However, the long-term growth potential of Hyderabad's real estate is still strong, say experts. According to the report, foreign investments in Indian real estate decreased by 39 per cent in the first half (H1) of 2025, totalling $1.6 billion. In contrast, domestic capital rose 53 per cent, reaching $1.4 billion. Total investments during H1 of 2025 were led by select deals in office assets. Bengaluru attracted $0.5 billion investments during H1 of 2025, contributing nearly 17 per cent to the total inflows. Office and residential assets together made up 57 per cent of the city's investment share. A large deal in retail segment in Kolkata, resulted in 13 per cent share in total investments by the city during H1 of 2025. Speaking to The Hans India, Vimal Nadar, National Director & Head of Research, Colliers India, said: 'Even though Hyderabad witnessed a 51 per cent year-on-year dip in investment inflows during Q2 of 2025, the city's real estate sector continues to demonstrate strong fundamentals and long-term growth potential—particularly in the office segment.' 'The city attracted $0.3 billion in investments in H1 of 2025, nearly double the inflow recorded in entire 2023, backed by select asset-level deal in the first quarter of the year. This momentum builds on a robust 2024, when capital inflows surged 2.4X times on an annual basis, with over 90 per cent of the inflows directed towards office segment,' he said. The residential segment has also seen substantial investment activity since 2024. Despite witnessing fewer deal closures in Q2 of 2025, the outlook for Hyderabad's realty sector is optimistic. Driven by strong occupier demand, sustained investor confidence and ongoing infrastructure upgrades, it is expected to witness a robust supply of 30–35 million sft in Grade A office space in 3–4 years. The investors are also increasingly diversifying their portfolios beyond core assets—office, residential, industrial and warehousing, and focusing on alternative assets such as data centres. They are targeting portfolio-level or platform deals that include assets across multiple geographies including Hyderabad.

‘Deep as ocean,' PM Modi calls Maldives India's ‘most trusted' friend, announces ₹4,850 cr line of credit

India and the Maldives on Friday exchanged eight key agreements covering a wide range of sectors, including Line of Credit, debt repayment, fisheries, digital transformation, and Unified Payments Interface (UPI), in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu. Modi's visit signals a significant improvement in India-Maldives relations after a period of tension. He also revealed that the two nations are moving forward with negotiations for a bilateral investment treaty and have already begun talks on a free trade agreement. 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised that New Delhi is proud to be the "most trusted" friend of the Indian Ocean archipelago. 'For us, it is always friendship first,' Modi said in his media statement, adding the 'roots of our relations are older than history, and as deep as the ocean.' The Maldives holds an important place in India's "Neighbourhood First" policy and MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions) vision, the prime minister said, as reported by PTI. 2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced that India is proud to be the Maldives' most trusted friend, following the announcement of a ₹ 4,850 crore line of credit to support the island nation. The two leaders witnessed the exchange of six MOUs in the fields of fisheries and aquaculture, meteorology, digital public infrastructure, UPI, Indian pharmacopoeia and concessional Line of Credit. 3. The new Line of Credit offers Rupees 4850 crores [ approx USD 550 million] in support of infrastructure development and other activities in Maldives. An Amendatory Agreement for the existing LoCs was also exchanged. It reduces Maldives's annual debt repayment obligations by 40% [from USD 51 million to 29 million]. Both sides also exchanged Terms of Reference of the proposed Free Trade Agreement. 4. The two leaders also virtually inaugurated a roads and drainage system project in Addu city and six High Impact Community Development Projects in other cities. Prime Minister handed over 3,300 social housing units and 72 vehicles for Maldives National Defence Force and the Immigration authorities. 5. Prime Minister also handed over two units of Aarogya Maitri Health Cube [BHISHM] sets to the Government of Maldives. With state-of-the-art medical equipment as part of the cube, it can provide medical aid to 200 casualties with in-built support to sustain a crew of six medical personnel for up to 72 hours. The recent improvement in India-Maldives relations is particularly notable given the initial strain under Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu, who took office in November 2023 after campaigning on an "India Out" platform and is seen as having close ties to China. Tensions escalated quickly after Muizzu's inauguration, when he called for the withdrawal of Indian military personnel from the Maldives. In response, India replaced its military presence with civilian personnel to ease diplomatic friction. The Maldives remains one of India's key maritime partners in the Indian Ocean Region, and bilateral ties in defence and security had strengthened significantly under previous Maldivian administrations.
