Alpine to sell Formula 1 tickets to fans through Viagogo partnership
BWT Alpine is to become the first Formula 1 team to sell tickets for races to fans as part of a new partnership with peer-to-peer marketplace Viagogo.
Alpine will use the ticketing platform to offer thousands of places at Grands Prix this season directly to motorsport fans, who normally have to buy from F1 itself or race venues such as Silverstone.
'The partnership with Viagogo is an exciting step to bring BWT Alpine closer to fans worldwide,' said team principal Oliver Oakes.
'By making tickets more accessible through a safe and trusted platform, we're ensuring more supporters can experience the thrill of race day firsthand.
'We're committed to enhancing the fan experience and strengthening global presence – this collaboration is a testament to that.'
Alpine is selling the tickets out of the allocation that all teams receive for Formula 1 races. The terms of the agreement are confidential but it is understood to amount to hundreds of tickets for fans at each of the 24 Grands Prix this season, which starts this week in Australia.
The partnership will also see Viagogo receive branding in Alpine's garage, hospitality areas and digital platforms, while the team will benefit from data insights it can use to reach new audiences and unlock marketing opportunities.
Alpine's driver line-up for 2025 features Frenchman Pierre Gasly, in his third season at the team, and Australian newcomer Jack Doohan, who has replaced Haas-bound Esteban Ocon.
'We're excited to partner with BWT Alpine to make attending Formula 1 races easier than ever for fans around the world,' said Viagogo's international business development lead Matt Drew.
'In 2024, fans from 160 countries bought tickets on viagogo to see F1 live, and through this partnership, we will connect even more fans to their favourite races.
'Our goal is to bring supporters closer to world-class events with a seamless experience, while helping our partner expand their global reach and grow revenues.'

Aussie coach Peters seeks redemption for Hull KR
The pain of recent history will weigh heavily on the mind of Australian coach Willie Peters as he plots a path to Challenge Cup final glory for his Hull Kingston Rovers side. Peters has the lingering memories of Rovers' heartbreaking 2023 final loss to Leigh to erase, not to mention a 40-year trophyless streak to explode as his side look to live up to their deserved billing as heavy favourites for Saturday's showdown with Warrington Wolves at Wembley Stadium. The 46-year-old Sydney-born Peters has told his players, who top the Super League, to embrace the weight of expectation that comes with being the domestic game's pre-eminent force. The club have scarcely looked back since Lachlan Lam's drop-goal denied them their long-awaited triumph in 2023. They were runners-up to Wigan in last October's grand final, four days after Peters had been named Super League coach of the year. Here's what James Batchelor and Willie Peters said ahead of this Saturday's @TheChallengeCup final 🗣️Watch the full Pre-Match press here 👉 — Hull KR (@hullkrofficial) June 4, 2025 East Hull has been awash with reminders that it is four decades since the Robins last lifted major honours, and Peters, who has immersed himself in the club and its community since he arrived as a relatively little-known head coach in 2023, is under no illusions about what a win would mean. "I don't think about what it would mean for me, but I think it about the effect it will have on our club," said Peters, who played halfback for the likes of South Sydney and St George Illawarra before taking up assistant coaching roles with Manly, South Sydney and Newcastle. "The people involved can be legends of this club for a long time, so that excites me. What would excite me would be being in a WhatsApp group for the next 30 or 40 years with the guys who won a Challenge Cup, and being able to come back and meet up. "We are a community club. I have always said our sole aim is to make our community proud, and we have got the chance to do that this weekend." Peters admitted glancing back at certain aspects of the 2023 final but has resisted plunging into the negative emotions that followed that loss, pointing out his side's ability to shrug it off almost immediately and finish their domestic campaign on a high. "I've watched some segments of the (2023) final because I know what I want to use this week, not so much about the emotions but around different actions in the game," added Peters. "If you talk about where you want to go, I believe that's a stronger emotion, so that's what I will be tapping into." Peters' opposite number, Sam Burgess, will also be on a mission at the London final, where Warrington will be attempting to erase memories of last year's miserable 18-8 final defeat by Wigan. But his side have been ravaged by injuries this season and languish in eighth place in the Super League.

BP Marsh offloads Sterling to Australia's ATC Insurance
BP Marsh, the UK-based specialist investor, has divested its approximately 20% stake in Sterling Insurance to ATC Insurance Solutions, an Australian underwriting agency in which BP Marsh already has a 25% holding. The transaction saw ATC acquire 100% of Sterling's issued share capital for a total consideration of A$33.2m, through a combination of cash and equity. BP Marsh's portion of the deal, corresponding to its 20% interest in Sterling, will be settled via equity in ATC valued at around A$6.5m. This increases BP Marsh's stake in ATC from 25% to 27%. BP Marsh initially invested approximately £1.9m in Sterling in 2013. The investment generated an internal rate of return of 8.8% over a 12-year period. The firm expects further value growth through its increased holding in ATC. As part of the transaction, Dan Topping has stepped down from his position as nominee director on Sterling's board, while retaining his board role at ATC. BP Marsh stated that the transaction is aimed at facilitating a combination of its two investee companies, allowing Sterling's senior management to roll equity into ATC and providing liquidity to long-term shareholders of Sterling. ATC chairman and managing director Chris Anderson stated: "Sterling is highly respected within its sector, with a strong focus on niche, hard-to-place and complex risks. We are thrilled to welcome Sterling to the ATC family and look forward to working closely with their team as we continue to grow together." Sterling Chairman Tony Parington said: "We are excited to be joining forces with ATC and look forward to contributing to the success of the combined business. "Our partnership with BP Marsh since 2013 has been productive, and we are pleased that this relationship will continue as part of ATC." The Romanian will take over at the Nerazzurri after just thirteen matches in charge of Parma in Serie A. And according to the Corriere, Chivu is keen to bring a few players with him from Emilia-Romagna. (Photo by) Firstly, there is striker Ange-Yoan Bonny. The 21-year-old has been on Inter's radar for some time, as they look to reinforce in attack. And the arrival of Chivu as coach will only increase the likelihood that Inter move for Bonny. The Frenchman did very well after Chivu took over at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. Advertisement Meanwhile, in defense, Giovanni Leoni has emerged as one of Inter's targets to replace the aging Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij. Leoni was in absolutely outstanding form for Parma in the last few weeks of the campaign. Therefore, there is little doubt that Chivu would trust the 19-year-old at the heart of his defense. Lastly, reports the Corriere, Inter could also turn to Parma midfielder Adrian Bernabe as an option in holding midfield.
