Jeremy Clarkson's partner has cheeky trick to silence him during disagreement

Lisa Hogan has been in a relationship with Jeremy Clarkson for eight years - and has figured out how to use their show, Clarkson's Farm, to stop him interrupting her
Jeremy Clarkson's partner Lisa Hogan has been opening up about the subtle techniques she uses to ensure he doesn't interrupt her on camera. Former Top Gear host Jeremy, 65, has been in a relationship with 50-year-old actress Lisa since 2017.
The couple have given fans an insight into their relationship thanks to the camera crews that follow Jeremy while making his hit Amazon Prime documentary series, Clarkson's Farm. The series follows the motorhead after he bought a farm in the Cotswolds and documents the trials and challenges he faces while trying to turn a profit from the investment.

While Jeremy is often shown to be learning as he goes, Lisa can be seen as something of a rock for him, appearing in episodes where she gives sage advice or support as crops fail and local politicians make life on the farm difficult.

As fans will know, Jeremy is reasonably opinionated, and he is not one to be known for holding back. However, it seems Lisa has devised a smart way of ensuring she can voice her own thoughts on the show without fear of being interrupted.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, she explained: 'I've worked out that when he's wearing a mic, he can't interrupt me. So that's when I go for it.'

She explained she has discovered a way to avoid arguing with him, adding: 'I'm more conniving than that. Why argue with someone like Jeremy? He's so eloquent. I have to be a bit more… nimble. I like the long-term diplomatic approach.'
Lisa also gave insight into her partner's personality when the cameras are not rolling. She said: "He's always incredibly inquisitive.
"His mind is always on the move. He'll come in fizzing with energy about the smallest thing. I like that.

'I used to let my son stay up to watch Top Gear, but I never really watched it myself. I knew him more from his writing. I always loved his columns. I thought he was bright – and probably amusing. And I think he thought I'd be amusing.'
Lisa has long supported her man and frequently praises him during interviews. In 2023, she gushed to Lad Bible about her partner and the impact he has had on the farming community: "He's really loved, but I'm really proud of him for doing this.
"And creating such a movement within agriculture, where people like I would have gone by and I wouldn't have known what a tramline is. And now I do. You just look at the country in a different way, I think."
Jeremy has become an unexpected hero of the farming world after inviting cameras to document his attempts to turn his land into a viable business. He has battled adverse weather conditions that have ruined crops, and battled local council rules to open his farm shop.
He has also been praised by farming communities for highlighting the industry's difficulties and giving fans an insight into the highs and lows of life in the country.

Clarkson's Farm star Harriet sets new 'farmercore' trend with chic tweed cap

Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan has already been setting her own niche trend this summer with her 'farmercore' tweed cap proving a must-have with fans When the new series of Clarkson's Farm landed on Amazon Prime last week, one thing we weren't expecting to get from it was a new fashion trend. However thanks to the arrival of Harriet Cowan, it seems we're all keen to get in on the farmercore look that she's been wearing. Although obviously Harriet's outfits are based around practicality, not fashion, there's no denying she's managed to create a whole new look that everyone's dying to copy. Following on from the countrycore trend Claudia Winkleman kick started in January thanks to her The Traitors wardrobe, farmercore is the new way to embrace the outdoorsy aesthetic, even if you're a born and bred city dweller. One item that fans are already dying to snap up from Harriet's wardrobe is her PJ Powell Tweed Baseball Cap, which she wore in an Instagram post from way back in 2023. Commenting underneath the snap, one fan asked: 'Hi Harriet loved you on Clarkson farm. Would you kindly share where your cap is from please?' whilst another replied: 'I was just about to ask this too!' Thankfully Harriet's chic tweed cap is still easy enough to get your hands on, and is available from £32.95 on Amazon. It's made from a green tweed fabric with a brown suede peak, with the tweed being made from 80% wool which is breathable and durable. If you'd rather avoid the tweed look, Schoffel's Thurlestone Unisex Cap is £30 and is made from 100% cotton twill with a similar contrasting peak. For something that's slightly more street style than country chic, the Fiona Wool Blend Flannel Baseball Cap in Taupe from Reiss is £58 and has a brushed wool finish with gold accents. Harriet's PJ Powell Tweed Baseball Cap is one size fits all, but has an adjustable strap at the back. Amazon shoppers have also been singing its praises, with one saying: 'Had previous cheaper versions - this one is built to last. Never off the head!' Another agreed: 'Fits perfect, quality tweed finish,' whilst a third chimed in: 'This was a present and was great quality and unique design. Very happy with it.' In fact the only negative reviews were based around the packaging, with one saying: 'nice hat but the brim was slightly bent,' whilst another noted: 'The item came squashed and was not packaged adequately for price.'

Christine McGuinness makes huge sexuality admission as she addresses divorce

Christine McGuinness has opened up about her sexuality, admitting she has dated both men and women since she was a teenager, and has never shied away from this Christine McGuinness has admitted to dating both men and women. The former model turned reality star has dated women since she was a teenager and admits her sexuality has never been a secret. The Blackpool-born star admitted that her now ex-husband, Top Gear star Paddy, and her family had all known about her sexuality throughout her marriage. Christine and Paddy, 51, announced in 2022 that they had decided to separate after 11 years of marriage. ‌ Despite their separation, they continued to live together at their Cheshire home for the sake of their children, twins Leo and Penelope, and Felicity. Prior to dating Paddy, Christine revealed she had a "two-year situationship" – but while she's openly looking for love, she's not looking for somebody to be a step-parent for her children. ‌ Instead, she wants a connection on a more personal level for herself. "It shouldn't matter somebody's gender," she said. She went on to add: "It never mattered to me, which was why once me and my ex-husband were separated and I met people, I didn't properly date. "It was more like blurred the lines of friendships for me, that was normal. It felt comfortable because I'd done that as a teenager and I, as a teenager, I dated both men and women. My ex-husband knew, my family knew, it was never a secret for me." Speaking on the How To Fail podcast, Christine, who also appeared as a guest on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, was asked if she would label her sexuality. Despite hesitating, she insisted that she is a "free spirit." "No, and again, I've thought about it," she commented. Christine added: "A lot of people always ask me, are you a lesbian? Are you bisexual? Are you what? Is this a phase? I've always been quite a free spirit. I think that's the only word I would put on it. When I was a teenager, I'd dated boys and girls. 14/15 was probably when I had my first kisses with, with both, and I never felt it was anything different or a big deal." ‌ The TV star went on to say, "Then I think where I grew up, everyone was kind of just there for a good time." But while she's had "situationships," she and her partners have never put labels on their relationship status. "My experiences with women have been lovely, and it's not like women are better or worse," she told broadcaster Elizabeth Day. Speaking about the differences, she said: "It's simply that the connection for me is different. I need a connection now. I need something different. I really, really, honestly, I love my family, and Patrick is part of my family, and he always, always will be. But now for my next relationship, I know what I want, and I want someone for me. "I want someone that I like spending time with, we can do stuff together that we both enjoy. I want that emotional connection where I can be open and I can talk and I can be vulnerable and I can ask for help, but I can also have a laugh and just have a good time. It's not like I'm trying to find a new family unit or someone to come in and be a stepparent. I want my next relationship to be for me." But while she and Paddy still live together, she admits that they can both enjoy dating others due to the fact they are divorced. However, one thing that isn't up for discussion – neither of them overshare about their dating experiences. "We are still exes and we are still living in the same house," she said of the decision. Christine had initially signed up for Celebs Go Dating as part of her quest to find love and a connection again. However, she dramatically quit the series after explaining that the platform and attention from the show was "too soon" for her. But bosses behind the show had said that the door would always be open for Christine to return.

Supercars: your most-Googled questions, answered

Top Gear Advice Here's what the internet wanted to know about supercars. We (perhaps unhelpfully) answered Skip 1 photos in the image carousel and continue reading Unfair question. Supercars don't depreciate badly. They depreciate spectacularly well, with jaw dropping pace. A truly top tier supercar can blast from £250k to £80k in the time it takes its Lotto winning new owner to dent all four corners while driving it off the forecourt. When were supercars invented? In 1946, when Corporal Peter Supercar accidentally dropped a Crusader tank onto his Austin 10. Sadly Cpl Supercar never profited from his creation, having failed to patent it, and also having been thoroughly squashed by the Crusader tank. But if it's, say, Dr Oetker, the famed German food scientist behind the multibillion euro international cake company, then yes. Apart from the fact he died 100 years ago. Can dentists afford supercars? Really hung up on the 'which professions can afford supercars' thing, huh? We're guessing the reason you're asking this is because... your dentist recently started driving a supercar? In which case, time to ditch your dentist. That dude is charging too much for your scale 'n' polish. You might like OK, bored of these ones now. Do supercar drivers get paid? Yes. In special negative money, because they're big special important people. Advertisement - Page continues below Because their custodian helmets won't fit under the low roofline. Are supercars difficult to drive fast? Yes. Not because modern supercars are twitchy at the limit, but because generally speaking they're locked in humidity controlled garages in the vain hope that they won't depreciate catastrophically. Why do supercars have low ground clearance? It's popularly believed supercars sit close to the ground in order to lower their centre of gravity and also generate downforce. This is not the reason. It's because low ground clearance forces supercars to slow for urban speed bumps, thus allowing the driver to accelerate obnoxiously thereafter, thus alerting everyone within a 500 metre radius that there's a big special important person in the area.
