A SELF-PROCLAIMED ''UC bandit'' has sparked fury after confessing he ''could not imagine working for minimum wage''.
According to the latest figures, a whopping 8 million people in the UK are now claiming Universal Credit - with nearly half not expected to work.

New data reveals the July 2025 figure is the highest since UC launched in 2013, up from 6.9 million a year earlier.
Amongst those fuelling Britain's benefits bill is also TikToker Liam, who recently received a hefty payment of over £2,700 in his bank account.
According to Liam, who posts under the username @xylevel, his Universal Credit payment got bumped up by more than £600 from the previous month.
Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs.
According to the Gov website, it's paid monthly - or twice a month for some people in Scotland.
Brits may be entitled to it if they're on a low income, out of work or you cannot work.
Some 46 per cent are in the 'no work requirements' group — meaning they are not asked to find a job, often because of long-term sickness, caring duties, being over pension age or having a baby under one.
The DWP says this share is continuing to increase and now covers 3.7 million people, overtaking jobseekers as the biggest group on the benefit.
Only 34 per cent of people on UC were in work in June 2025, equal to 2.7 million claimants.
However, while some UC claimants are working to boost their bank account, Liam proudly confessed he could never be one of them.

Showing off the huge sum of money he was about to receive, the ''UC bandit'' said in the video: ''Guys, I'm loving this free money.
''And it was so f*****g hot today as well - I could not imagine sitting in an office or working on a building site for minimum wage.
''That is just disgusting, guys.
''Big up Universal Credit,'' he said in the clip, which has racked up close to a staggering 600k views in just one day, sparking fury.
Am I entitled to Universal Credit?
According to the GOV website, if you're on a low income or need help with your living costs, then you could be entitled to Universal Credit.
To claim, you must live in the UK, be aged 18 or over (with some exceptions if you're 15 to 17), be under State Pension age, and have £16,000 or less in money, savings and investments.
Other circumstances are if you are out of work, or unable to work, for example because of a health condition.
Almost 1,000 people flooded to comments, where Liam came under fire.
One furious viewer said: ''Just what u wanna see after working in the sun all day cheers mate enjoy.''
Another person chimed in: ''That's a grand a month more than I get for working a 35hr week for the NHS.''
''Picking up extra overtime to help you fella,'' a third joked.
''Absolute joke this government,'' someone else thought.
