DU UG CSAS 3rd allotment result 2025 declared at ugadmission.uod.ac.in: Check important dates
The University of Delhi has declared the DU UG CSAS 3rd round allotment result 2025 today, August 5. Candidates who participated in the third round can now check their upgraded allocations through the official admission portal at As per the university schedule, colleges will verify and approve applications submitted in this round by August 6 (5 pm). Candidates who have received new allocations are required to pay the admission fee by August 7 (up to 4:59 pm) to confirm their seat. If the fee is not paid within the stipulated time, the allotted seat will be forfeited. Students who did not participate in the second or third rounds can apply through the Mid-Entry window, which opens on August 8 and will remain active till August 10. Step 1: Visit the official DU admission portal at Step 2: Click on the link that reads 'Upgraded Allocations for Third Round' Step 3: Log in using your CUET application number and password Step 4: View your upgraded allocation result on the screen Step 5: Download and save a copy for future reference Candidates who have been allocated seats in the third round must accept their allotted program and college and complete fee payment by August 7 to secure admission. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the allocated seat. Meanwhile, students who were not allotted any seat in the earlier rounds or were rejected due to incorrect subject mapping or invalid documents can utilise the Mid-Entry provision. This allows them to re-enter the system by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000, and update their preferences or correct errors between August 8 and August 10. The next round of allocations, including performance-based courses (Music, BFA, PE/HE&S) and quotas (CW, ECA, Sports, Ward) will be announced on August 13.

TN has 1,303 Nilgiri Tahr
Chennai, Aug 5 (UNI) Tamil Nadu a total population of 1,303 Nilgiri Tahr according to a report released today after the Second Synchronized Survey of Nilgiri Tahr. The Project Nilgiri Tahr is a species specific conservation project to conserve the state animal of Tamil Nadu. The Project Nilgiri Tahr was launched by Chief Minister M K Stalin on October 12, 2023 with an outlay of Rs.25.14 crore. It has nine different components which are focusing on Nilgiri Tahr protection, conservation, management of population, assessing its home range, technological interventions, adoption of different scientific methodologies on par with international standards, involving elite international and national experts in different aspects of projects. One among the activity of Project Nilgiri Tahr is Annual Synchronized Survey of Nilgiri Tahr in Tamil Nadu. Since inception of the project, the first synchronized survey was carried out in 140 survey blocks in the year 2024 for three consecutive days with selected regions of Kerala. Currently the second synchronized survey was conducted in 177 survey blocks of 14 Nilgiri Tahr holding forest divisions in Tamil Nadu for four days from April 24 to 27, 2025. The survey was conducted in the month of April, coinciding with the sightings of both mothers and young within the population. The Nilgiri Tahr young one is born between December and January. Hence, the April month is ideal for sighting of adult female and young, and the environmental conditions is favourable with greater visibility. The second synchronized survey of Nilgiri Tahr report was released at Guindy Children's Park here today. Tamil Nadu Forest Minister R.S. Rajakannappan released the survey report in the presence of Ms Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Forest, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden Rakesh Kumar Dogra, Dr. Yash Veer Bhatnagar - IUCN Country Representative, among others. Stranger lends Rs 2,800 to Reddit user, says keep it as Rakshabandhan gift
An unexpected act of kindness in response to a Reddit post left a user pleasantly surprised when a stranger stepped in to offer financial help during a moment of post, titled "A stranger helped me with Rs 2.8k during a desperate moment and then," was shared on the subreddit 'r/Indiasocial'.In it, the Reddit user recalled how a complete stranger came to his aid during one of the lowest points in his "I was in a really low place, rent overdue, loan repayments hanging over me, and I had absolutely no way to get money in time. My PayPal wasn't working, and I was supposed to receive payment from an international client. My options were running out, and honestly, I felt helpless," he added that he asked Reddit for help, not expecting much. "If anyone with a working PayPal + UPI could help me out," he his surprise, a stranger not only responded but also sent him Rs 2,800, no questions asked. "She sent me 2,800 from her own pocket. No conditions. No second thoughts. Just out of kindness."When he insisted on returning the amount, the woman declined, asking him to treat it as a raksha bandhan gift from an elder sister."That kind of kindness from someone who doesn't even know me? It meant everything in that moment," he said, adding, "I still plan to return it one day, not because she asked, but because she deserves it."He concluded the post with a heartfelt message: "If you ever wonder whether genuine, good-hearted people still exist, they do. And sometimes, they show up when you need them most.
