Sharjah to host the first Badminton World Cup 2025
This World Cup will showcase badminton in a unique outdoor stadium that will be built in Sharjah, with the exact location still to be revealed. To qualify for the World Cup, teams need to participate in four regional tournaments around the globe: the Americas Championship in Lima, Peru, from April 12-13; the African Championship in Accra, Ghana, from July 3-6; the Asian/Oceanic Championship in Port Dickson, Malaysia, from August 8-10; and the European Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan, from September 5-7. The best team in the team relay from each regional tournament will earn a spot in the World Cup, while the triathlon teams will be formed by players from these qualifying teams. With Sharjah's experienced track record in organizing beach sports, she is confident that the Sharjah Sports Council will make the first tournament a memorable one. Thieves scaled fence, busted window before ransacking Brad Pitt's L.A. home, sources say
LOS ANGELES — Police are investigating a reported burglary at 'F1' actor Brad Pitt's home, two law enforcement sources familiar with the incident told NBC News on Thursday. Pitt was not home at the time, the sources said. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed a break-in at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at a Los Feliz neighborhood residence but did not identify who lived there or who owned the home. Thieves ransacked the home and took an unknown amount of miscellaneous property, officials said. The value of the items was not immediately disclosed. Police were looking for three suspects who climbed over a front fence and broke in through the home's front window, the sources said. It's the latest in a wave of burglaries in recent years that have targeted high-end neighborhoods across L.A. and Southern California, where VIPs and celebrities have been victimized. On Valentine's Day, the L.A. home of actress Nicole Kidman and musician Keith Urban was burglarized. A week before that, the Southern California home of Los Angeles Football Club star forward Olivier Giroud, member of the French National Team that won the 2018 World Cup, was burglarized. In that case, thieves made off with what a source described as 'a significant amount' of jewelry and other items. Authorities have not said whether any of those crimes are connected to South American burglary crews that have been targeting high-end homes from coast to coast and have been a fixture in the L.A. area for more than a decade.

'What's the status of things with Ross and Drake?' Ali asks a bewildered Montana. The Bronx native does more than dodge the question; he tosses the headphones at the host and says 'touchdown' when she catches them. He then proceeds to get up, saying, ' I'll be right back. I think I double-parked my car outside. I'll be right back.' Another angle shows the French walking off the set and eventually out of the studio, leaving a confused Ali asking, 'Where is he going?' French never returned, and Page Six notes that it wasn't the first moment that irked him in the interview. The site reports that it started well with conversation about his success as a Bronx rapper who gained influence via his mixtape run, to now performing for the World Cup. But eventually the discussion turned to his personal life, which he refused to talk about, only saying, 'I'll skip that. I just want to keep my private life my private life.' That, plus the beef question, must have set him off. French's new signature may be to walk out of interviews when he's uncomfortable with the line of questioning because back in April, he was asked about Diddy, who's currently on trial for sex trafficking, while at LAX.
