Celeb-loved haircare brand launches Bank Holiday sale - here's what to buy
Color Wow is offering up to 30% off their cult-favourite hair products this Bank Holiday weekend - here's what you should be adding to your basket
As a beauty writer, I try more products than I can count – but when it comes to haircare, one brand I reach for time and again is Color Wow. And to celebrate the Bank Holiday, the celebrity stylist-loved brand is offering up to 30% off their cult-favourite hair products, making it the ideal time to finally try them out, or stock up on some hero products.
Used by Claudia Winkleman's and Kim Kardashian's hair stylists, the brand is best known for their high performing hair care and styling formulas, from frizz-fighting sprays to high-shine serums. They're all developed in-house and led by founder Gail Federici who has a whopping 40 years in the industry, and even produced the hair world's first anti-frizz product, Frizz Ease, when she was at the helm of John Frieda Hair Care. Iconic.
Kickstarting today (May 22) and running until Tuesday, May 27, the more money shoppers spend, the bigger the discount they can unlock. Customers who spend £50 or more can get 20% off with the code SAVE20, or unlock 25% off with the code SAVE25 when they spend £75. For shoppers who want to splurge, they can save 30% with the code SAVE30 when they spend more than £100.
But they're not the only brand hosting a sale. Elsewhere, Amazon is hosting its first Everyday Essentials Week, offering seven days of deals on everyday essential items until 23.59pm on Tuesday, May 27. As part of the event, there is up to 40% off beauty, including brands like NIVEA, KIKO and Neutrogena. Meanwhile, Charlotte Tilbury is offering 20% off sitewide with the code MAGICMAY.
But when it comes to the Color Wow event, which products should you be snapping up? As someone who isn't a huge haircare lover, it takes a lot to win me over and these are the Color Wow products I genuinely rate – and why they're worth your basket space.
1. Dream Coat Supernatural Spray - usually £27
This bestselling spray is Color Wow's holy grail anti-frizz treatment. It uses innovative humidity-blocking technology to literally waterproof your hair and keep frizz away for up to four washes. It also gives hair a mirror-like, glassy shine and provides two levels of built-in heat protection.
Lightweight but super effective, it's beloved by stylists for taming summer frizz, even in the worst humidity. Among the fans is Claudia Winkleman's stylist, Amy Short, who revealed she uses it on The Traitors ' star to achieve her covetable shine. Chris Appleton, who is known as Kim Kardashian's go-to hairstylist, has also been vocal in his praise for the product, having previously said: 'The level of glossy shine is incredible. Nothing can create a mirror-like-finish like Dream Coat...and keep the style humidity-proof for days,'
2. Pop & Lock High Gloss Finish - usually £22.50
A hybrid between a lightweight oil and a shine serum, this multitasking finisher smooths, hydrates, and adds serious gloss. With 3 levels of heat protection, Pop & Lock protects against UV rays and colour fade, plus, the sparkling high-gloss finish locks down the cuticle and temporarily seals split ends. I love how this product gives my hair that freshly blow-dried look in seconds, leaving it glossy without looking or feeling greasy like I've found with some oils. A little goes a long way and it even comes in a mini 12ml version for £9 which is ideal for throwing in your bag for on-the-go touch ups.
The product has a near-perfect 4.8 star rating from shoppers, based on almost 3,000 reviews. One shopper wrote: 'This is great for controlling humidity and makes your hair shine!'
Another added: 'For years I have tried to find a product that tames my frizzy hair and I have finally found the perfect product! My hair feels so silky and soft after using it as well and it lasts for days.'
However, some have found the applicator to be a little challenging. One said: 'The product is amazing! Looks as if it is going to be sticky but it's not. My menopausal hair is dry and frizzes easily. This is transforming my hair! I love it. However, I ordered the small applicator initially to try it and the hoke gets easily clogged up, difficult to use, it comes out thick and to get 1cm length even I have to pump it several times. If it wasn't such a good product I'd have given up and thrown it away. I also wish the black parts were clear plastic as it can't be recycled.'
3. Color Security Shampoo - usually £21.50
Summer heat makes your scalp sweaty and ramps up oil production, which can cause irritation, clog follicles, even cause hair loss, so a good shampoo is a must. Many cheap formulas simply don't cut the mustard, especially on coloured or treated hair, which is where Color Wow's Color Security Shampoo comes in.
When I dyed my hair copper last year, this fast became my go-to for maintaining my hair between salon visits. The sulfate-free, residue-free shampoo gently but thoroughly cleanses without leaving behind any build-up that could weigh hair down or irritate the scalp. In fact, every ingredient is designed to rinse off fully, leaving hair feeling squeaky clean which I find lets me go longer between washes, too. It's safe for all hair types and colour-treated strands, it's even said to be 'perfect' for extensions.
4. Money Mist Leave-In Conditioner - usually 29.50
Because my hair is quite fine, I don't really like to use thick heavy conditioners in the shower. Instead, I prefer a light, leave-in formula like the Money Mist from Color Wow. I discovered this earlier this year and now I use it as part of my regular wash routine, every time without fail.
The weightless, glossy leave-in conditioner strengthens, detangles, and smooths, all while adding shine and heat/UV protection. No heat tools required to activate. My favourite part is how it makes my hair feel so expensive. That silky, swishy finish you get after a salon blowout? Money Mist gives me that without having to leave the house. For a similar experience, I also quite like Lush Super Milk and Sol de Janeiro's Brazilian Joia Milky Leave-In Conditioner, which are both £28.
And, if the discount wasn't tempting enough, anyone who spends over £60 on the Color Wow site will be able to choose a free travel-sized product at the checkout. I recommend getting a mini version of your favourite product and stashing it away for your next holiday, or opt for a product you've been wanting to try for a while but didn't want to get at full price. Jeremy Clarkson's furious response as fan complains about £24 steak pie at pub
TV's Clarkson's Farm star Jeremy Clarkson has hit back at a moaning customer who complained about the price of the steak pie at his pub - and told them 'enjoy your chlorine' Jeremy Clarkson hit back at customers grumbling about the £24 price tag on his pub's steak pie, cheekily retorting: "Enjoy your chlorine". The star of Clarkson's Farm, 65, has insisted on paying 'premium' prices for top-quality local beef for the pies served up at The Farmer's Dog, the pub showcased in the Amazon series. Clarkson suggested that those balking at the cost could resort to less scrumptious, chemically-treated alternatives. The sharp-tongued ex Top Gear presenter delivered the rebuff following criticism from a disgruntled punter who contacted him on social media, griping: "Thought @JeremyClarkson wanted an affordable pub for customers. £24 for pie and veg is a bit much." Never one to shy away from a challenge, Clarkson fired back: "Have you seen beef prices right now? If you could make it for less, I'll give you a job." In response to another query, "Your cows aren't they Jeremy?" Clarkson clarified: "Some are. Most come from other farmers in the area and we pay a premium. We are here to back British farming. If you don't want to do that, fine. Enjoy your chlorine." The recent series of Clarkson's Farm documents Clarkson's struggle against soaring expenses as he opens his pub near Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, Oxon. One memorable episode saw him gagging from the foul odour while rehabilitating the pub's old septic tank. Since launching in August with a commitment to only offering local fare, The Farmer's Dog has garnered widespread acclaim – despite Clarkson conceding he was at one stage losing £10 per patron. Its current menu lists 'steak pie, mash, carrots, seasonal greens and Hawkstone gravy' for the sum of £24. The pub's website boasts: "Our menu is made entirely with ingredients produced on British farms. It'll change based on what's in season, but it'll always be absolutely f****** delicious. Take a look and see what takes your fancy." Some on X slammed the pie as 'f****** extortionate' and labelled him 'tight', with one quipping: "At least Dick Turpin wore a mask." Yet, many rallied behind him - especially those who've sampled the pie themselves, with suggestions even coming in that he should hike the price further. A fan took to Twitter, proclaiming: "Was the best £24 spent! Fantastic meal there, great food and all local produce - stop whinging!". Another enthusiast simply exclaimed: "Ah! But what pie". And another chimed in: "Worth every penny." A regular at Clarkson's establishment declared: "Best pub in the world is not for you, stick to McDonalds." Meanwhile, patron Jason Rees shared: "Having eaten in @JeremyClarkson's pub and expecting it to be over hyped and average I was so impressed with the food we rebooked, as soon as we could, to repeat the experience." He added: "It's not cheap food but the quality was outstanding." Corrie icon Vicky Entwistle, 56, famed for her role as Janice Battersby and her stint in Celebrity Big Brother, commented: "I think that price is want to visit my village pub up north the prices are through the roof." Another supporter commented: "I'm guessing it's using unprocessed ingredients and fresh veg. There's a saying you get what you pay for. You could have a Dacia Duster pie meal for £10 rr a Mercedes pie for £24." Yet another addressed a complainer, saying: "You must be a complete idiot! £4 is vat Then you take off the price of the fresh ingredients, then the staffs salary, Nat ins, and employer pension contribution, then the non domestic rates, gas and electric, rent. There will not be much left at all. Price should be £30."

HAIR THIS I'm ‘obsessed' with an £8 Amazon buy for hair growth – it reversed my post-partum hair loss in weeks
SHOPPERS are raving about an £8 Amazon buy for hair growth which could help reverse post-partum hair loss. While postpartum hair loss is a common side effect of pregnancy, it makes many women feel insecure. Four to five months after giving birth, the hair will shed at an alarming rate, and it can be worrying. Our hair grows in cycles: a growing phase, a resting phase, and a shedding phase that continues to repeat. But during pregnancy, most of the hair stays in the growth phase due to those big changes in your body's hormones. Once your baby arrives and your hormones begin to change again, the level of estrogen falls, causing your thick head of pregnancy hair to begin the shedding phase. Because so much of your hair sheds all at once, the volume of hair loss seems far more substantial. But customers are hailing a "miracle" oil, which can fit into any haircare routine - applied daily or as a luxurious mask before wash day. Some shoppers have claimed it could reverse their postpartum hair loss in weeks. Mielle's original Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil can be added to your Amazon basket for just £7.33. It promotes "amazing moisture and shine" and supports "longer, healthier hair". The product is infused with the vitamin biotin, which is also beneficial for nails and skin. There are no parabens, sulfates, paraffins, mineral oil, or DEA, and it's not tested on animals. "Mielle aims to empower women of all hair types and styles with powerful products and gentle, organic ingredients that amplify your natural beauty and are the 'root to results' that leave you looking and feeling your best," said the company. Shoppers have been raving about the hair oil, and even claimed it helped them with post-partum hair loss. "This oil has been a true saviour for me after experiencing postpartum hair loss, which left me with noticeable bald spots around my hairline," penned one. "Having used this consistently for a year, I am thrilled with the results." Another added: "This stuff is a miracle worker! Even the hairdressers at my salon noticed my hair growth and asked what have I been using! Bonus point- it's helped my nails grow as well." A third agreed: "This product has been remarkable. My hair fall have reduced significantly after the last use. Definitely recommended." This comes as a radio presenter has revealed that she suffered severe hair loss after having her second child, but a 59p buy has got it looking thick and healthy again. Meanwhile, another woman shared how she grew her hair thicker using this simple £2 remedy from Asda. She told how she took her hair from the size of a pinky in a ponytail to long and luscious using this one clever hack. Elsewhere, this is a £6 shampoo shoppers are going wild for, which makes your hair grow quickly, but it won't be in the beauty aisle. Hair loss tips We can lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day, according to the NHS. It is not usually something to worry about, but occasional it can be a sign of a medical concern. These include illness, stress, cancer treatment, weight loss and iron deficiency. The NHS advises to book an appointment with your GP to see if you can get to the cause of it. Experts at American Academy of Dermatology Association also recommend to eat healthy, limit curling irons and only use them for special occasions. They also recommend using a gentle shampoo, and make use of leave-in conditioners.

Half-naked Kim Kardashian gives fans a look inside her incredible walk-in closet at $60M mansion
Kim Kardashian gave her fans a glimpse inside of her fabulous walk-in closet while parading her scantily-clad, hourglass body around her $60 million mansion. The reality TV personality, 44, showcased not only her palatial closet but also her jaw-dropping, toned physique in sultry, lingerie snaps. Leaving little to the imagination, she took to her Instagram Stories in skimpy bikinis from her shapewear and clothing brand Skims — which also recently stirred up mixed reactions with the release of her divisive nipple piercing bra. In one snapshot, the entrepreneur modeled a tiny, string bikini in a sexy, scarlet red color. Then, she shared a short clip of herself in another look, showing off her small waist and ample assets in a warm brown bikini with a matching skirt slung dramatically low on her hips. She also changed into another iteration of the look, showing off the various, midriff-baring ways to wear her convertible tube dress and skirt combo from her brand. During her weekend social media session, she showed off her ultra low-cut camisoles with a closely cropped photo of her cleavage. In the background, what appeared to be just a small corner of her massive closet was on display. Lit up, clear closet doors showed a stunning display of her purse and shoe collection organized by color and type. She posed in front of a massive floor-to-ceiling mirror as she took photos in her closet that also had a massive island in the middle of the room. The up-and-coming actress moved the camera around while simultaneously turning and contorting her body to showcase her hourglass body. In her video, she showed off her little outfit and her bombshell body while narrating about the clothing pieces from her brand. 'I think they're really cute.' The social media personality is famous for her show-stopping physique after having gone viral a number of times for her incredibly slim waist. In recent years, she made memorable appearances on the Met Gala stairs wearing corseted looks snatching her waist to seemingly unimaginable measurements. In 2024, she wore a literal breath-taking Maison Margiela corseted gown with a cropped sweater on top. This year, she also wore a waist-cinching Chrome Hearts dress paired with a dramatic hat as she attended the event (but walked the red carpet solo) with her eldest daughter North West. North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six, with her ex-husband Kanye West, who now goes by Ye and is now married to the seemingly clothing-adverse model Bianca Censori. Two years earlier, she talked about how she went on a crash diet to lose 16 pounds in three weeks just to fit in Marilyn Monroe's iconic 'naked' dress that the late actress famously wore to sing Happy Birthday, Mr. President to John F. Kennedy in 1962. 'I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein,' she told Vogue at the time. 'I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict.' Then, she shared a short clip of herself in another look, showing off her small waist and ample assets in a warm brown bikini with a matching skirt slung dramatically low on her hips In 2021, she was covered head to toe in a Balenciaga ensemble with a mask and cape, but her recognizable hourglass figure was still on full display even though every inch of her body was covered. In 2019, she truly channeled camp as she wore a constricting corset by Mr Pearl for her Theirry Mugler 'wet' look. Back then, she talked about how she could barely move when wearing the corset and had to take 'breathing lessons' from the designer on her family's reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. At one point, she talked about how she was not even able to use the bathroom. 'If it's an emergency, I think I pee my pants and then have my sister wipe my leg up,' she said. 'I'm not even joking. She can wipe my leg up.' Kardashian also attended the coveted gala in previous years, and even when hiding her pregnancy in 2015, her seemingly physics-defying hourglass body was still on display to impress and make viral headlines.
